Great news @Laurz9191 keep it steady!
So the streak is coming to end is it @tarun_yadavA ? I think you enjoy it too much!
For those interested you only need 23 people in a room before the chances of one of them sharing your birthday is more than evens.
Training still on track with 20 miles on Sunday. One more long run and then let the taper begin!10 -
Great long run! @TheMrWobbly ! Enjoy your taper!
Great before/after pics @martaindale ! I also do my own version of meal prep. When I cook something healthy that usually no one else in the family will touch I still cook a large batch and freeze smaller portions to eat for lunch and sometimes dinner. That way I always have something healthy that I can grab. No excuses .
@tarun_yadavA I’m glad to hear the streak goes on. Maybe you will make it to 88 after all .
My run this morning went well. The weather left a lot to be desired - very moist and mushy. But I ran an enjoyable easy paced 13.1km. Tomorrow we are supposed to get some of the nicer side of spring . I’m looking forward to it.

Haha – I love that reel @tarun_yadavA!
Wha? Only 23 @TheMrWobbly? That’s crazy. Great job on that 20-miler!
Glad the calf is doing better @Laurz9191.
Everyone’s before and after pictures are very motivational! Well done!

Ok, this was supposed to be the 10km I trained for for ages. Unfortunately I ate something wrong and had an upset tummy when I set out, resulting in intestinal cramps every 500m or so. So.. could not finish. But I learned something new about my body: a bit of tummy distress is enough to make all skeletal muscles so weak that I can't run at all, and even walking is difficult. Ok, muscle biopsy in Wednesday, and once I'm healed I'll try again.10 -

To make sure that I found the right group before sending an add request. I'm fine with intergalactic, or even just interplanetary... 🙃3 -
Just a usual slow, hard Monday 10K 😶

Great run in the wind @kgirlhart . It's been blowing here all day too and made it feel soooo cold. I stayed in.
Funny reel @tarun_yadavA !
Great 20 miles yesterday @TheMrWobbly . You're going to do great on race day! I'm surprised it is only 23 people!
@yirara I'm so sorry it didn't go well and your tummy made you abort the run you were training for. I hope you get some answers from the muscle biopsy. You'll make that PR next time!
I did a treadmill session this morning. I walked a total of 1 mile for warm up and cool down and ran 2.1 miles. The "run" was a run/walk for 4/2 minutes. The runs were 2 min each at 4.5-5.1, 5.0 with the walks being at 4.0 mph. I ended with 2:52 min at 6.0 mph. Not too bad for me. Avg pace was 12:48 min/mile. Avg HR was 136 with a max of 162 bpm. I didn't want to push too hard since I didn't run much last week.

I had one of those annoying runs this morning - I didn’t really want to go so mucked about. I finally headed out and found myself absolutely loving it, but was subsequently short on time thanks to the aforementioned procrastination, so could only fit in 5K. I guess it serves me right.9

Morning all.
Got in 5miles (at 10"01)
@TheMrWobbly haha thanks; and great run too!
@quilteryoyo thank you! 😊9 -

Hi everyone!
I decided to get a tempo run in today because tomorrow I have max 30 minutes to run. I had no pain so that was great! I couldn’t quite get my splits on the way back. I was really running into the wind and I just couldn’t crank it up as much as I wanted. But it still was a nice run! I ran 11km.
187/250km for March.13 -
Another good run this morning. Ran with a friend which was a nice distraction. Didn’t worry about my pace - I just chatted.11

Warning - Shoe porn below.
My recently purchased shoes
Saucony Peregrines (two 13s and a 12) in the top row
Saucony Kinvara 12's in the bottom row
Just $45 to $60 per pair, all on clearance. My average price for all running shoes is just $61, and I've only paid full price for 2 pair in my life.
The Kinvara has replaced the ASICS Gel Nimbus as my favorite road shoe. Very light, very durable and very comfortable.
I won't call the Peregrine my favorite trail shoe yet, but I do like them and will be giving them a full test on my 100m race. I'm bringing three pair to the race... 2 pair of Peregrines and a pair of Altra Lone Peaks. I haven't decided what I'll start with yet. I have two more trail runs prior to the race and will decide after those runs.11
