@dawnbgethealthy , yes! Two of my brothers have partial season tickets to Phillies games, so I get to attend about a dozen games a season.
Day 57—04/01— 172.2 - Going to stick to my last goal weight. I really think I can get there. But I am still improving...its just slow. 🐌
Day 58—04/02— I did weigh myself but my old brain DOESN'T REMEMBER what it was! Sheesh
Day 59—04/03— 172.6 - I remembered to write DOWN what I weighed today…LOL! I went to a ball game last night and had food I don't usually have but it wasn't TOO bad. Back to normal today.
Day 60—04/04— 172.8 - My weight is stalled. I wish the weather would even out so I can walk more. Got a small hyacinth yesterday...the scent brings the outdoors in.
Will probably have another salad for lunch with cottage cheese for added protein. Not sure about dinner....might be fish.

After driving quite far to get home I found the furnace was not done. They ran into some issues. Too far and too tired to go out searching for another hotel so we're roughing it tonight at home. But couldn't pick up cat because it's still much too cold. At least the power is back on and we can plug in the eating pure. It doesn't heat up a room but if you stand 24 inches away or closer you can warm your bones back up. I went away for the day to my daughters where we could stay warm and will be okay tonight under the blankets. At least we have TV this time. No pipes or Frozen because there was no water in them with the power being out. I had had them on dribble and they well pump couldn't come on to refill them so I guess that worked out in my favor. Hopefully furnace will be in full commission by tomorrow and I can catch up on everyone's posts and get this house cleaned up dishes done Etc. It's nice to have water again and working toilets!

Day 58—04/02— 143.0. Walks, no gym. Food was okay, definitely could have been better. I seem to be settling right around the 143 mark. Gotta keep pushing.
Day 59—04/03— 143.6. Hmmm. Not happy with this, but it's just fluctuations so I'm not going to get too upset. Food was good yesterday, but minimal activity due to schedule and weather.
Day 60—04/04— 143.0. No gym (again), long walk. Food was within goal. I'm going to try to cut back on sugar and dairy to see if it's contributing to some joint pain I've been having. I'm hoping to get rid of some bloating, too.
Day 61—04/05— 142.2. Outdoor walk, 3 mile treadmill run. Food was good. It felt good to get back to running. And I'm happy to see some bloat fall off.

Week 8 Actual Weight: 150.2Day 57—04/01— 149.6 - Day off!! I walked downtown to pay my house insurance and do some banking. I am going to abandon my post of getting outside for a minimum of 5 minute (my mini challenge) but I am mindful now of how important it is, and am 100% committed to do it. Working 6 days a week is exhausting, but I am going to keep that up too for now.
Day 58—04/02— 149.6 - It was so nice to have a day off. I was pretty tired, but got the basics done: laundry, vacuuming and stuff. I also languished in a bath with the TV pulled up close during the time when I would normally be at work : -) 2 jobs today and tomorrow.
Day 59—04/03— 149.4 - Late dinner last night, huge salad. I will be running from one job to the next today. I should try to eat some breakfast first.
Day 60—04/04— 148.6 - Pretty happy to see that number this morning. Sometimes it is hard to tell what is working, since things (good or bad) often don't show up on the scale for 3 days. Yesterday I had 2/3 cup of egg whites with a slice of smoked provolone vegan cheese. No, I am not vegan, but it is delicious "cheese" and melts really well in eggs. I wonder if that helped me lose a few ounces? Completely un-interested in breakfast this morning, but I will try to fit something in.
Day 61—04/05— 148.8 - Split shifts today and tomorrow, which I like because they are at the Indian restaurant and I enjoy the big chunk of break in the afternoon so that I can get to a trail.

Thoughts at the start of this round:
Approximately this time last year (Challenge #15) I began to slowly gain weight throughout the rest of my winter and well into my Spring. I am still battling some of those pounds as we start this new challenge. This is a new opportunity to prove to myself and my family that I AM serious about getting healthier. I know I have bad eating disorders that bring about horrible eating habits. I also battle cravings because I haven’t gotten away from sugar or chocolate long enough to stop the cravings. I have such a long way to go and only a sketchy road to get there but I’ll never give up on myself or lose faith in my strength or my resolve. I’ll admit that I’m not super confident that I will ever be in the 140’s again (my ultimate goal), but I AM 100% confident that I will shed these 190’s like a bad dream and NEVER weigh this much again. I don’t know when this will happen exactly. But I do know that it will. Thanks for sharing my journey and letting me travel with you on yours.

🐰🐰🐰🐰🐰 Day 61 —04/05—(Trend weight: xxxxx) I’m back and all caught up on reading the posts Thanks you all for so many prayers and well wishes. I am starting with my last known weight on 3/31. I am showing a loss as of today. I’m not sure why there has been a loss over the past couple of days since it’s been all restaurant food and bad snacks at the hotel. I think maybe it was because I was having stress related stomach issues the whole time? Heat is still not completely resolved here but they promised today. The main thing is that they continue to need more parts which are not readily available here for furnaces so it keeps being a waiting game. If this persists, I’ll have to head south again and look for hotels again. Last night was a nightmare sleeping here, so cold. Today you can physically feel that it is warmer outside than in the house even though it continues to be a cold Michigan winter day. I appreciate continued prayers for my family including my adult children affected by this disaster in our area. Please pray for our entire community. Some will be without power for up to a month!

Day 58—04/02— 143.0. Walks, no gym. Food was okay, definitely could have been better. I seem to be settling right around the 143 mark. Gotta keep pushing.
Day 59—04/03— 143.6. Hmmm. Not happy with this, but it's just fluctuations so I'm not going to get too upset. Food was good yesterday, but minimal activity due to schedule and weather.
Day 60—04/04— 143.0. No gym (again), long walk. Food was within goal. I'm going to try to cut back on sugar and dairy to see if it's contributing to some joint pain I've been having. I'm hoping to get rid of some bloating, too.
Day 61—04/05— 142.2. Outdoor walk, 3 mile treadmill run. Food was good. It felt good to get back to running. And I'm happy to see some bloat fall off.
Day 62—04/06— 142.1. Outdoor walk, 5 mile treadmill run. Food was really good. Feeling good with how things are currently going.

I'm liking the direction this is going. Really, the only thing I'm doing differently is eating less. The main way I'm doing that, split my breakfast to eat a portion of it before I exercise and the remainder after, which is typically around noon. Then I have 'lunch' around 3 and dinner around 6. I'm really focused on eating protein and fiber. But I also eat carbs, eg., we had lasagna for dinner last night and I have oatmeal as the main part of my breakfast. I haven't felt hungry this past week doing this approach. I feel good. We'll see how the remaining 6 weeks go.

I am going to abandon my post of getting outside for a minimum of 5 minute (my mini challenge) but I am mindful now of how important it is, and am 100% committed to do it. Working 6 days a week is exhausting, but I am going to keep that up too for now.
Day 58—04/02— 149.6 - It was so nice to have a day off. I was pretty tired, but got the basics done: laundry, vacuuming and stuff. I also languished in a bath with the TV pulled up close during the time when I would normally be at work : -) 2 jobs today and tomorrow.
Day 59—04/03— 149.4 - Late dinner last night, huge salad. I will be running from one job to the next today. I should try to eat some breakfast first.
Day 60—04/04— 148.6 - Pretty happy to see that number this morning. Sometimes it is hard to tell what is working, since things (good or bad) often don't show up on the scale for 3 days. Yesterday I had 2/3 cup of egg whites with a slice of smoked provolone vegan cheese. No, I am not vegan, but it is delicious "cheese" and melts really well in eggs. I wonder if that helped me lose a few ounces? Completely un-interested in breakfast this morning, but I will try to fit something in.
Day 61—04/05— 148.8 - Split shifts today and tomorrow, which I like because they are at the Indian restaurant and I enjoy the big chunk of break in the afternoon so that I can get to a trail.
Day 62—04/06— 148.4 - I met an interesting man when I got to the park/lake during my break yesterday. A blacksmith who travels around teaching classes. We had such a great conversation. I had a beautiful walk and then time when I got home to tour through my yard/garden, and things are popping up!!! Oh happy day.

I am kind of a jungle gardener, the opposite of manicured. I allow some of my lettuce to bolt and go to seed so that it replants. The clear cover makes the seeds fall back into the same spot:

I am leaving all of the leaf mulch on everything. Even though it was 60F, It is still below freezing in the mornings around here.
My lilacs are budding, I sort of clip them into a shape of a heart in the fall. Maple tree is in bud also.
No, I don't really have the time to get going on the garden, but I am planning to give up my Wednesday shifts at both jobs so that I get 2 days off in a row to really get into it. There will be lots to do! Pea garden and potato garden are a great deal of (happy) labour and can get planted right away, or as soon as I can get to them. I always figure 3 days to turn the soil shovel by shovel in the pea garden, and around 7 days for the potato garden.

Day 60—04/04— 172.8 - My weight is stalled. I wish the weather would even out so I can walk more. Got a small hyacinth yesterday...the scent brings the outdoors in.
Will probably have another salad for lunch with cottage cheese for added protein. Not sure about dinner....might be fish.

Thoughts at the start of this round:
Approximately this time last year (Challenge #15) I began to slowly gain weight throughout the rest of my winter and well into my Spring. I am still battling some of those pounds as we start this new challenge. This is a new opportunity to prove to myself and my family that I AM serious about getting healthier. I know I have bad eating disorders that bring about horrible eating habits. I also battle cravings because I haven’t gotten away from sugar or chocolate long enough to stop the cravings. I have such a long way to go and only a sketchy road to get there but I’ll never give up on myself or lose faith in my strength or my resolve. I’ll admit that I’m not super confident that I will ever be in the 140’s again (my ultimate goal), but I AM 100% confident that I will shed these 190’s like a bad dream and NEVER weigh this much again. I don’t know when this will happen exactly. But I do know that it will. Thanks for sharing my journey and letting me travel with you on yours.

Day 61 —04/05— 194.2 (Trend weight: 195.1)I’m back and all caught up on reading the posts Thanks you all for so many prayers and well wishes. I am starting with my last known weight on 3/31. I am showing a loss as of today. I’m not sure why there has been a loss over the past couple of days since it’s been all restaurant food and bad snacks at the hotel. I think maybe it was because I was having stress related stomach issues the whole time? Heat is still not completely resolved here but they promised today. The main thing is that they continue to need more parts which are not readily available here for furnaces so it keeps being a waiting game. If this persists, I’ll have to head south again and look for hotels again. Last night was a nightmare sleeping here, so cold. Today you can physically feel that it is warmer outside than in the house even though it continues to be a cold Michigan winter day. I appreciate continued prayers for my family including my adult children affected by this disaster in our area. Please pray for our entire community. Some will be without power for up to a month!
🐰🐰🐰🐰🐰 Day 62 —04/06—193.2 (Trend weight: 194.9) Good News and Bad News. First the bad news: It appears the power surge blew out my wall double ovens. I had an appliance person come by and check on it. The control board is no longer available. To replace them is 3000 to 4000 just for the ovens, not counting installation. You don’t know how much I hoped that it was just a breaker switch which I tried first. No ovens right before Easter so dinner is cancelled. The good news is Heat, glorious Heat! Furnace install was completed by yesterday evening. Central Air will be installed soon. Finally we can stay home. It’s nice to see a couple of new faces here. Welcome to all!
