It's great. That's "what it is!"

It's about consistency: A slow and steady 0.2 loss is a sign of consistent effort and is generally more sustainable than rapid weight loss. 0.2 is a very small but still positive step. 👍️

You’re maintaining your goal weight of 200. Wonderful. 👏 😀

    today’s weigh in-

    Starting weight: 317.6lbs

    Current weight: 255.8 lbs

Down 61.8lbs 🙌 I am shocked I lost a few pounds this week! I have been so stressed from work and life. I took one day off of my normal gym routine to have a fun night out with my boyfriend at trivia night. This whole week has been rough on the exercise front, I took it a lot easier than most weeks. I truly just needed a break on the fitness journey for a bit because I am at max capacity with work.

Little win- a coworker told me that she sees a big change in my appearance since I started which was nice to hear.

Other news-I have an interview for a promotion today so I am really hoping that all this hard work I have been doing will pay off 🤞

And lastly it’s almost my birthday! So between that and Halloween I am going to try my best to avoid treats hahah 🙃

Good job everyone! I've been dealing with depression/stress lately and eating bad. I'm currently 286.7lbs. I'm going to try to get back on track now, especially with thanksgiving right around the corner.

I suffer from depression and have been on meds for 22+ years and had two total work related breakdowns. The first one I was catatonic-like, not laughing or even cracking a smile for 10 months, which was totally opposite of my personality. The second one I was just terribly sad and didn't know why. This time it lasted about 6 months. The day after I went back to work (March 2005) my position of 28 years was eliminated. I was completely blindsided. After a few years I was felt well enough to be able to become a Nanny part-time for newborns through age 4 or 5 and that has put me on the road to recovery and given me back myself. I never have any stress being a Nanny. Unfortunately that relief only lasts when I'm working. I am a stress eater and don't eat healthy when I'm stressed so I joined My Fitness Pal for the friendship, comraderie (sp?), motivation and support of others who are in the same boat.

I don't know how to post my stat info like I see above. If someone would tell me how, I'd very much appreciate it. Thank you.

    Hi Everyone,

My name is Alison. I've been on and off a weight loss journey for as long as I can remember but after a recent health incident I am determined to stick to it this time.

Recently had pancreatitis and have been told that I need to have an operation to have my gallbladder removed. The surgeon obviously discussed the risks with me, with one of my major risk factors being my weight. They have recommended I follow a low carb diet prior to the surgery but my hope is I'll continue on afterwards and actually stick to my goals this time.

    Start weight: 250lbs

    Goal: 140lbs

    Current weight: 238lbs

My goal weight is based off what the doctors told me based on my "ideal" BMI for my height. Initial 12lb loss was while I was in hospital with pancreatitis and couldn't eat. If you guys don't mind I'll try and post weekly updates here to try and keep myself motivated.

I want to let everyone know that I will NOT delete the 2025 Challenge, and start again in 2026, like I did last year. We will continue on throughout the years. Into 2027 and beyond. I will not delete any posts so that we can all look back at our old posts throughout the years and see our progress.

And hopefully, those who reach their goals, will stay with us during their maintenance journey.

I am not sure when I last posted, but I have some progress to share…my weight is currently stable, but that could mean my metabolism is resetting, and that I have swapped some fat for muscle(yay!). In the non-scale victory area, with my doctor's care I have now reduced my blood pressure medications to half, and removed my cholesterol medication!!! I am starting to get the green light in ride test seats at my local theme park I have a pass to. I am BEYOND EXCITED about this progress, since the scale isn't my defining goal. 😍
