Jkuhn ~ yeah, my TT is years away, if I ever get one, it's one of those things, it would be nice, but there are more important things to spend money on!
Sissamae ~ Good luck on the 30 day shread! I'd love to follow your progress if you don't mind. Will you be taking pictures?0 -
May I just say that I am very jealous of the lack of stretch marks, bumpy skin. The more I lose, the worse my stomach looks :ohwell:0

You ladies are such an inspiration. I gained a lot after college and got close to 195 at my heaviest. Eating healthy and exercise made it super easy to get pregnant I gained maybe 30 lbs and lost it all by the time my daughter was 3 months. Stretch marks were my major concern ( I looked like a tiger) after she was born but as I started to lose more the more I realized I may have to deal with that loose hard to get rid of fat pouch. I could care less about stretch marks now as long as I can get a nice flat belly like some of you ladies.
I'll keep my fingers crossed :flowerforyou:0 -

I was stupid and had a boob job when I was 21. I regret it. I wish I had small boobs now.

Here I am at 39 weeks with baby #2. I was 120 pounds when I got pregnant and was about 178 here (gave birth a couple of days later). The second picture is of me now (he's 8 but I lost all of my weight by the time he was 18 months). However my stomach looks much better now than ever due to the weight training. I do mostly heavy weights and little cardio. I just watch my diet and workout 4-5 times a week for about 45 minutes. I weigh 110 now.
Whoa you look amazing0 -
I've had three kids, 2 c-sections and a VBA2C. Last baby was a year ago this month. I'm lucky in that I don't have the "pooch," but my whole stomach does bow out because the muscles are so stretched. If I tighten my stomach everything is nice and flat, but I can't walk around like that all the time! Thank you so much for posting these pics, I definitely need the hope that things will go back to normal!0

Hi... I totally understand this... I had my first child 13 years ago. I was a size 5 & approx. 120 lbs... 4 children later I have this horrible pouch too. I have lost weight & gained it back over the years. Even when I was at my skinniest, I still had the pouch. I had a tubule(sp.) ligation done after my youngest son (he is 8) & they did my surgery at 6 weeks postpartum. The scar ended up right above my pubic bone & is about 5 inches long (horizontal). I have this pouch that won't go away no matter what. So frustrating... Is it possible to get rid of?0

My main reason why I got into working out and eating better was because of my post pregnancy pouch.. I have 3 kids (vaginally).. 5 1/2, 3 1/2, and 10 months.. this post is inspirational!!! Everyone looks so great!!! Makes me feel so much better about being able to do it!!0

what about the pain and recovery??? I am thinking of doing the same thing!0

Hi,
I will say, every woman's body is so very different and depending on the extent of damage done to the adominal muscles and skin stretching, sometimes the only alternative is a tuck. So just keep an open mind. If you get back to your goal and you lay down on the floor and can place your fingers in the midldle through the adominal wall there is a seperation in the fascia. So the pouch will most likely remain. Unfortunately no amount of work can fix that. Regarding the skin stretching...genetics does play a role...some women's skin shrink back beautifully and other's, the skin is stretched and will not snap back regardless of all the compounds used (I know I tried them all).
Up to 2007 I had had four beautiful babies all vaginally and got back down to goal, weight wise. I was toned and fit everywhere except...you guessed it, my stomach. No matter how much work I did, my admonial had almost a 2in seperation in my fascia, with the 4th baby I developed an adnominal hernia, and the skin stretched past my "lower regions" when stretched. It was disheartening to say the least to work so hard and have strong stomach muscles, but still have the pouch and all that excess skin. So, I opted for a tummy tuck July 2007.
The story gets better...I thought I was done having babies...BUT...God said differently and I had another beautiful baby girl at almost 40 years old. GUESS WHAT? The tuck held...the sutures didn't tear, but my abs were so tight near the end I could hardly breath. My skin stretched a little again, but nothing like before and my abs actually look better right now than before the last baby because I am working harder than I ever have in my life.
Hope this helps...I pray you won't need a tuck, but don't be down if you do, you have given birth to wonderful children and there is "help" to restore the damage if needed. I am soooo thankful for that surgery because I wasn't happy looking in the mirror at the damage and I have never regretted for a second having abdominoplasty. I will say,It is worse pain than any of my childbirths, but I would do it again for the results.
I wish you all the best!0 -
I had my first baby 5 1/2 months ago. Also still have The Pouch including some really bad stretchmarks, but I have to say I'm surprised at how fast it's shrinking. I never had the courage to take the dreaded "before" photo after my son was born, so these are technically both "during" pics. (Sorry about the undie photo).
