Low calorie pancakes (under 30 calories each)
Made these 3 weeks ago and they are excellent.
Low Calorie Pancakes Recipe
Makes 17 servings low calorie pancakes: 26 calories per serving. With the calorie content so low you can add blueberries for a sweet treat, cheese and chives and salmon for a savoury treat or just have plain alongside whatever else you are having. I really like it with a shake of cocoa powder and a teaspoon of low cal fig and ginger jam. Enjoy!
Ingredients
3/4 c. cake flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
3/4 c. skim milk (I actually use 2% milk so each pancake is more like 30 calories each. )
2 egg whites
Directions
1. Sprinkle dash of salt on egg whites and beat until stiff, but not dry.
2. Add milk to flour and salt. Beat until smooth.
3. Add baking powder and beat a few seconds more
4. Fold in beaten egg whites.
5. Pour into the pan and turn once. Should be golden brown.

Sounds great! I will have to try them. My husband is a big pancake fan but I don't eat them that much any more because of the calories. Thanks!0

I don't use them to feel full. I use them at the end of the day as a sweet treat with blueberries and low fat icecream so i usually only have 2. Or I will have them as a between lunch and dinner snack by themselves and once again only have 2. It's to treat or just take the edge off hunger between meals rather than a meal in themselves.
I suppose they would make a pretty good breakfast and I think maybe 4 to 6 with a dollop of natural yoghurt would be enough and that would be about 200 to 300 calories.0 -
I started on MFP 8 weeks ago and have lost 8.6kg (19lb) so far. have had the occasional blow out day but try to claw the extra calories back over the next 2 or 3 days. Averaging about 1kg (2.2lb) a week loss and having sweet treats along the way, just in moderation.
I am astonished about how easy it is with good tools like MFp and the support of family and frioends.0 -
bump for tomorrow!!0

I absolutely adore any and all breakfast foods, so I will be book marking this page!
May I ask how big they are-how many inches in diameter do you make them?0 -
These sound like they're worth a try. Thanks!0

Those are pretty heavy on sodium ... definitely going to try this when I next have eggs in the house but I think I'll try cutting the salt amount by at least half.0
