    If they don't send me a note with the friend request and I decided to deny the request I don't send a note back. If they do send a message with the request I only deny it if I think they're creepy, in which case I don't want to encourage them by responding.

    I have a note on my profile telling ppl I won't accept f/r without a note. I still get blank requests. If I have the time I will glance at their profile. If it's private I decline the request. Like many others, I feel if you can't take a second to read my note I'm not gonna get much from you. I generally accept anyone that sends a request with a note. Every week I go through and weed out ppl that have been inactive for more than 5 days & anyone I have basically not had contact with. I hate wasting my energy supporting others when they won't even interacting with me.

    What I am looking for in MFP friends:

    - Open diary is a must. If you want me to encourage you or help keep you on track I need to know what you are eating.
    - Someone that can give and take vs someone that only takes.
    - People that like to converse & that I can get to know a little
    - Someone that has a sense of humor. I could really use a few more of these on my list.

    I will only accept friend requests if the person writes something along the lines of:

    "I want to lick the lint between your toes. Lets get fit together. YEAHH!!"

    or something more creative such as:

    "Roses are cars, violets are buckets, this poem makes no sense.....boobs."
