MY MOTIVATIONAL PHRASES: EAT FROM THE EARTH, NOT FROM THE STORE
HOW TO STOP HATING YOUR DIET My own advice I need to follow If the food in the store is from the earth, of course you're fine. The trouble is PACKAGED food. The royals do not eat any packaged food, so I tell myself that I'm eating like a royal. Tell yourself it's simple and easy to stop eating bad food even though it feels…

Tips on Logging Restaurant Meals (when nutrition info is available)
Hey Y'all! I've been trying to be pretty mindful about logging just about everything I eat lately. I even go as far as weighing most of my food to ensure accuracy. Where I get most tripped up is logging for restaurant meals - especially those where the nutrition details are nowhere to be found. I try to find something…

Recipe Pet Peeve.
My apologies in advance. Mini rant: You know what is an awesome cooking tip? Only rating and praising an online recipe after you've made and/or tried the recipe. It drives me insane when scouring blogs, forums, websites, etc looking for a recipe, to read the reviews on a highly rated recipe, only to see comment after…

When we lose weight, where does it go?
I was curious, so I looked it up, watched a fascinating Ted Talk about the mathematics of weight loss and learned this: 84% of fat is exhaled as CO2 (carbon dioxide) 16% of fat is excreted as H20 (water) Not sure if it's accurate, but it was really interesting, and definitely over my head!

MFP and Apple health integration
Hi, When you enter your food diary in MFP and set the timestamp to a different time, it doesn’t pass this through to Apple health, seems to use the time when the entry was created rather than respect the time you entered. Is that correct or am I doing something wrong. Reason I ask is that I use lumen to sort out my…

Gluten Free, bc the IgE
TL;DR: What are your favorite GF meals that don’t necessarily rely on the processed replacement foods? I couldn’t think of a decent title, lol. As of my daughter’s doctor’s appointment yesterday, she is to go on a GF diet for the next 4-6 weeks. Given our budget, this means we’re all going GF. I’m already overwhelmed at…

Binge eating
Any tips or advice to avoid binge eating ? I do indulge in small treats that fit my calories most days, but there’s always that one day where I go nuts, realize what I did, and get upset with myself . It’s slowing my progress from losing 1lb a week to half a pound or to even no weight loss. It’s been a month of this…

FYI- Put a rotisserie in the air fryer
I bought a whole rotisserie chicken on Friday but didn’t get around to deboning it. I took it from the fridge and placed it in my air fryer at 350 for around 12 minutes and it tasted like I had just brought it home. The skin crisped up perfectly and was super moist.

What has been the most challenging aspect of your weight loss journey so far?
"For me, the most challenging aspect of my weight loss journey so far has been overcoming my own negative self-talk and insecurities. I've struggled with my weight for years, and in that time, I've developed a lot of negative self-talk and limiting beliefs about what I'm capable of achieving. At times, it feels like I'm my…
