Feature Suggestion Submission Guidelines
We love when our members help us try to improve. To ensure our product team can use your suggestions, we have a couple of guidelines, to ensure you get the best out of this section:* It is essential all ideas include a user story, that is, what is the problem and why you think this feature is needed. We are careful not to…

Ingredient substitutions in meal planner
Substitutions for ingredients should be allowed in the meal planner to allow for further customisation/personalisation of meals

Meal Planner- log all ingredients instead of a single food
The meal planner recipes are nice to follow and convenient, but not when you make game time decisions to change the recipe. If you break down the meal into its components when logging then it would add so much more versatility and keep the log-from-meal-planned functionality. Currently if I make an addition it is easy-…

Coach account and login
Hi. I train for more than 20 hours a week for triathlon. I send my nutrition coach screenshots of the diary once per week. It would be great if one could create a "Coach Account" that has insight into the whole diary.

All inclusive
I was deeply impressed with this application, but to my surprise, I realised you do not have a counter for wheelchair pushes. Something like this. I was using this app for fasting before I found you. But I think I will go back to it. “Steps counter” is not realistic for me. It is not calculated in the same way as pushes.…

Disable streaks
Why is there no way to disable streaks? I’m so sick of casually using this app and each streak, I get popups after the first entry. It gets soooo old. I’ve had 180 day streaks before, IDGAF about these little ones

Added vs. Natural sugar meter
Throughout the day, most of the sugars I eat are from fruits, but the meter combines the two kinds under a general tab. I’d like to be able assess how much added sugar (the one that actually needs to be limited) I consume without needing to manually do the math.

Estimating Calories Without Labels – Is Photo Recognition a Feasible Aid?
One ongoing challenge in nutrition tracking is estimating calorie content when no nutrition label is available — for example, when eating at restaurants or trying homemade or specialty foods. Studies have shown that calorie underestimation is common in these scenarios. For example, Urban et al. (American Journal of Public…

Vitamin and supplements logger
would love to be able to log and record my vitamins and supplements, I know I can add it to my diary but I don’t get to see how much Iron I’m taking for example. Could this be added to the app at all?

Silly (?) Error Message When Linking MFP Blog URL in MFP Community
Not that it really prevents anyone from doing anything, but I'm wondering whether there might be a server setting or something that would prevent this error message. It seems kind of goofy to get this when trying to link an MFP blog to a post in the MFP Community.

Ability to Favorite a food item
When logging foods, rather than waiting for an item to be considered one of your most frequent items, it would be great to have a way to favorite that item - thanks for the consideration!!

Copy yesterday to today
As a creature of habit, I would love to just duplicate my day and then tweak what I need to.

Options for adding amounts
I would love it if you would go back to being able to type in the amounts of food instead of using the dial. For example, I eat 235 grams of yogurt each morning and I need to scroll all the way to 200 and then add a second entry to add the remaining 35 grams. I would like to just be able to type in 235g. Similarly, I eat…

Adding Public/Database Foods and scan barcode foods to your personal food list
Not sure if this has been suggested already and/or is already a feature, but is it possible to add food from the MFP database and/or scanned food to your personal food list? Yes, I understand that you search and add that same item to your diary daily, but having it easily accessible to your personal, smaller food list…

Progress tracker Page
2 ideas; You guys should have the page where we can choose what aspects we want to track be accessible on the mobile app. For example; I am currently tracking weight, BF%, and the circumference measurements around my neck, chest, arms, waist, hips, legs, and calfs. However I can't update these on the app, I need to be…

Ability to set the Diary tab as my default "home" screen
Currently, the app seems to default to the Dashboard tab. If I switch to Diary, then go to another app and come back, it won't change. But if I leave MyFitnessPal for a while and come back, it'll open to the Dashboard tab. I'd like to be able to set the Diary tab as my default. I prefer the day view because seeing what I…

Foods section
This may have been suggested already, but I would like to see a few things on the Foods section. The ability to edit a food I entered, regardless if it's shared to the "let other MyFitnessPal members use this food". I may catch a mistake that I'd like to correct or my list of foods may have changed, so I'd like to delete…

Integration Suggestion: Sync Tovala Meal QR Codes with MyFitnessPal
Hi MyFitnessPal Team, I’d love to suggest a new integration that would add significant value for users who track their meals using Tovala smart oven meals. Currently, each Tovala meal includes a QR code for cooking—if MyFitnessPal could integrate with Tovala to also recognize these QR codes for automatic nutrition logging,…

Allow custom recipes in premium plus meal planning
I’m new to the meal planning section, but I’m frustrated that I can’t add my own recipes to the choices given for meals.

Print the recipe and add a QR code or barcode
Why is there no possibility to print a receipt and add a QR code or barcode to it? Especially my favorite recipes are easier to cook without always having my phone at hand. And then simply scan the code to record it in the diary.

Track "added sugars" like you do sugar
its recommended to keep added sugars to under 25g/day, having the app pick up added sugars from foods logged would be a fantastic help to not have to track this offline

Recipe Serving Size Yieldings
Hello, I was wondering if you could tell us exactly how many cups, ounces, etc. are in a serving for each recipe. For example, instead of just saying “serves 4” can you break it down to “each serving yields 1 cup.” I need to know exactly how much of something to eat. TIA!

Add Capacity to track All micronutrients
Not just calcium and iron and the ones you currently have. If you could put all of the nutrients on there with the RDA’s the app not just about weight management, but also health management so you ensure that you’re hitting all of your and consistently overtime. Add the capacity to read micro nutrient numbers when you scan…

Actually track potassium in foods
I have been placed on a medically necessary low potassium diet. So I was glad to see I could track the amount of potassium in my meals- until I came to lunch. It seems your program recognizes the potassium in coffee with 1%milk, but nothing else! I tried takeout Chinese fried rice- I got a calorie count but it showed 0…

Modern, Intuitive UI/UX
Hey team, I have recently started using myfitnesspal. I am quite new to food tracking apps. In recent weeks I have tried multiple food tracking apps like Yazio, Lifesum and a couple more popular ones. Feature wise I like myfitnesspal better, which is why I chose to stick with it. However, I want to highlight one major area…

Active Calories directly from the HealthKit / App on iOS rather than using steps
I would like to simplify the calorie adjustment, rather than having MFP read steps and specific activities from HealthKit and then do its own calculation I would like if there was an option to simply take the active calories total as is in the Health App for iPhone users. I use different trackers sometimes and MFP doesn't…

Setting measurements for recipes
hello, I noticed that when I create a recipe it only allows me to select serving for measurement. Is there a way to add other measurements to this? Like tablespoons, cups, etc like for other ingredients? I feel like that would track the calories better than a flat serving size that isn’t specified. Thank you!! Katt

Tracking more nutrients
Hello - I love your app. However, I also need the ability to track magnesium, vitamin D, and omega 3 intake. As far as I can discern, your app nutrients don’t allow me to do so. Cronometer, for example, does. I really don’t want to use another app but need that capability. Do y’all have a workaround or another way I can…

Vitamin K tracking for Warfarin users
I am sure this has been suggested already but I have recently had to start taking Warfarin following a heart valve replacement, I agree with a lot of the posts here that Vit K is important and you should continue to use, the important thing is being consistent with amounts. For me, being able to track daily/weekly vit k…
