Negative Calorie Adjustment
Can someone provide a better explanation of what Negative Calorie Adjustment is? The explanation on the website is very confusing to me. A bit about my situation: I wear an Apple Watch all the time and track my workouts on it. I have Apple Health linked to MFP and I have also selected my Apple Watch as a pedometer to track…

Losing Fat and Gaining Muscle (Body Recomposition) Tips?
So I'm a 26 year old male, weigh 70kg (154lbs) with what i'd say is definitely a skinny fat body (skinny arms, legs and frame, but with undesired fat on my stomach and hips) i originally weighed around 100kg (220lbs) a few years back but lost it over time by using a basic caloric deficit. Now I've reached the point where i…

Kayaking and gloves
Any regular kayakers out there? I used to kayak only during camping trips. Now I do it once a week (weather permitting) for calorie burn and also sort of a meditation. I go alone. No talking. No music. Just me on the water. I have one issue. I’ve got spots on my hands where the skin gets rubbed off by the paddles. I’ve…

Different training phases? Neuro/Strength, Metabolic, Hypertrophy? Who can share their experience?
I am just starting to learn about different training phases. I have been lifting for about 2 years now and realize I have always been in the hypertrophy phase. I am just shifting to neuro/strength phase for the next 4 weeks, then back to hypertrophy for 4 weeks, then metabolic for 4-6 as I try to reverse diet/cut a bit and…

Any ladies here would be interested in doing a virtual exercise group
This is just an idea, but I wanted to see what people thought about it first. I want to lose some weight by end of June and with gyms closed in my area and being unable to workout with friends in real life, I thought a virtual workout group would be interesting. It would be done via video (like zoom on our phones) and we…

Trouble using exercise diary
What am I missing about the exercise diary? With the food database, pretty much everything I search for is there, however, the opposite seems true with exercise. I really struggle to find anything even though I know what I did is common. Example: I did a whole arm routine this morning. I don't want to enter each thing I…

Change is good
I had the best run today! Went further and faster than previously. I'm putting it down to reducing my runs by one a week so I can do an extra pump class. Plus I played golf on Saturday, which is usually my rest day, and unfortunately was laid low on Sunday with a migraine. Was expecting a pretty average run today...…

calf compliments
So by now anyone who's seen and read my profile and read my responses to forums will see that most are those that discuss calf muscles, especially women's calves. Track exercise from Fitbit to MFP
Hi everyone, I have a fitbit and I know that exercise and tracking food on MFP will go to my Fitbit app, however I am wondering if there is a way to track my fitbit exercises to MFP. For example I use my fitbit to calculate my runs, but it only stays in the app. If I input my run manually into MFP, it gets counted twice.…

Tracking calories from cycling/bike riding
Hi - I'm sure this has been asked but my search did not reveal an answer. How does everyone most accurately record calories burned while bike riding? For those who are Premium subscribers: I have been using MFP since 9/1/2020 with much success. Although weight loss hasn't been perfectly linear, I'm almost there.
