I've been at my ideal weight for a few months now and lately I've been working out less. It's only been in the last two weeks I worked out three days instead of 5 but is this how maintenance works? what are your maintenance tips?

Do you eat out more, less, or the same as when you were in weight loss?
I'm curious as to how much you eat out now that you're in maintenance compared to when you were in weight loss mode? I notice it's still hard to fit in lets say, Ihop pancake breakfast then dinner out on the same day with lunch/snacks etc in between! So far, it's pretty much the same for me as when I was losing weight. I…

Maintenance mode but................................
Okay, I'm finally in a maintenance mode and I figured at 211 lbs (6'2"), I no longer need to "lose weight." However, I would like to do a better job at distributing my existing weight. I'm a lifter for the most part and I do cardio only out of a necessity, though I did once enjoy a good run before I broke my ankle 5 months…

This is semi hypothetical as my activity level will be increasing eventually, but given that at the moment my daily activity is limited basically to doing the washing up, cooking dinner, sleeping and sitting down, is BMRx1.2 actually needed? or will i actually be burning less than that? does sedentary assume my NEAT is…

Gained weight but where?
Hello guys, I am wondering if you can help me solve this mystery. My waage tells me I gained 4lbs in the second half of 2016 but I don't see it. After I lost weight with Mfp I maintained at around138lbs for the last 2,5 years. I stayed fairly active but due to major health problems of a close family member I didn't do as…

So I gained back 10 lbs
I went to the doctor yesterday and got a big wake up call, after avoiding the scale for a while... so I can't be in denial about that one (granted... it was 2 days after the Superbowl and I ate too much, but I weighed myself this morning and it was still 5 pounds higher than 3 weeks ago!). But my clothes still fit the same…

Recomp questions
Hello , Excuse my ignorance about the subject as I just started using MFP for recomp and have some questions. 1. Which is more important to look at : Macros or nutrients on MFP when doing recomp ? 2. What should be the macro percentages for recomp ? 3. Should I calculate macros/ nutrients daily or weekly ? As I usually…

Die-hards Only Need Apply......lol
Been on MFP for over 3 years - realized over the weekend several of my 'friends' deleted their accounts over the Holiday/New Year's. While I understand - this is a tough time - I'd love to have some friends that are committed (or need to be committed.....lol) to MFP/a healthy lifestyle - and plan on sticking around for…

Thrown into maintinence by life. Should I try to lose my last few pounds?
SW 206 CW 157 GW 145 Over a period of 2 years I managed to go from a starting weight of 206 down to 149. Long term success stats MFP v slimming clubs?
According to a weight watchers study (2007) 20% of their members have maintained their goal weight after 2 years 16% after 5. Looking at media reports, statistics for long term diet success rates usually suggest the vast majority will fail 97%+. I am curious to know if there are any stats on the success rate of MFP?

Still Losing (and I don't want to)
I have been pretty stable with my weight for the past 6 years. A little up and down, mostly due to overindulgence on vacations, but generally within 5 pounds of my goal weight. I came on MFP to lose 8 pounds I had put on during a couple of long road trips last year, prior to beginning marathon training. Last year I gained…

Diet for 6 days and eating whatever on day 7
So, I calculated my maintaince calories and its between 2300-2600 (according to different websites). I'm now eating like 1800 a day and I will have a deficit of like 6000 calories if I eat 1800 for 6 days. So, if I eat those 6000 calories on day 7, will I maintain my weight? (Not saying I'll fully eat all those calories…

Is reverse diet necessary if I know my maintenance?
Basically I went on a diet to lose the couple of lbs I lost over Christmas and I did this on a 1200 diet. Now I'm back to the weight I wanted can I go straight back to maintenance calories as I was before seen as I already know them? Or do I need to recover my metabolism and reverse diet to prevent any weight gain??

Recomping and effects on weight?
Hi everyone. I just got back to my goal range for maintenance. (I hit it in March but was bouncing around 1-5 lbs above goal range for about 7 months; now I'm back solidly in range and hoping to stay there!) I'm thinking about signing up for a DietBet maintainer challenge for added accountability. I'm hoping to shift to…

Maintenance Check January 2017
Hi everyone!!! Throughout my weightloss endeavour I took part in the monthly weightloss challenge. That used to give me a place where I can report back the positives and negatives of my week. And since hitting maintenance I miss all that. It was nice to share the good and bad. The aim of this thread is to have a weekly…

I Can't Start to Eat More!
I'm 20, 5'7 and 108 lbs with a really small frame. I've lost around 8 lbs in two months, but I'm still restricting my portions and calories. I am so afraid to change the slightest thing. I still can not even eat some junk food without punishing myself with no actual dinner that day-I know it is crazy. I need some advice…

Macros & recomp
So, I'm just wondering, if I tweaked my macros to be higher protein, lower carb, would that have any effect on recomp, speed it up, or not? I'm currently on 40/30/30, so that's about 180g carbs, 60g fat, 135g protein. I weigh 147lbs at 5'10", I'm 41, and working hard to build muscle & lean out.
