Y'all were sharing your wedding bands while I was on vacation, and now I feel left out. Hubby and I designed this with a small local jeweler eighteen years ago, and I still LOVE it. I'm so glad I found something that I feel is classic and beautiful - not trendy and will go out of style quickly.

Your ring is pretty and so are you long tanned fingers.

I do have very long fingers - tanned from last week's vacation :p . I can span an octave and a half on a piano. Wish I knew how to play one. That's a bucket list thing for me, learning to play a piano.

That is a way better bucket list item than rolling down a hill.

I just ate a Quest apple pie bar that tasted nothing like apple pie. It was quite gross ... but I ate it anyways.

I did not enjoy the apple pie one, and it kind of broke my heart.

I confess that I am on Quest's website looking at different recipes to make with Quest Bars.

Has anyone tried their protein powders yet? If so, what do you think of them?

Holy macaroni face! I am trying this:

    http://blog.questnutrition.com/quest-nutrition-cookie-dough-vanilla-cupcakes/

Those bars are so expensive I can't believe people would actually plan to use them as ingredients in other recipes! Well, maybe if you bought a bad one, like the Pledge flavor.

LOL to the bolded. I like Quest bars and have one for breakfast pretty much every day, but the lemon one is just terrible (and I also love lemon-flavoured desserts.)

Yep. I can manage to finish the other flavors, even if I'm not really a fan, but the lemon is the only one I've ever thrown out mid-bite.

You guys certainly are a persistent group......

I think I have had enough interaction with you guys in the group since I embarrassed myself that I should be able to just swallow my pride, even if I choke on it a little. However you guys do realize that now I have two weeks worth of posts to catch up on and binge post on things possibly two weeks old, right? This might turn into a case of be careful what you wish for lol.

I do want to say thanks guys. I tried to post a few times but kept stumbling over my words and never knew what to say. Even though I did not read along with this thread, I did check when I had notifications here. You guys rock.
Sorry I got freaked out :|

This isn't a confession, just a sharing of sorts.

    I had the BEST weekend.

We did in fact get the house clean Saturday (minus our bedroom and bathroom) and I feel so much less stressed now. The food was incredible and I even got to spend some much needed time with my best friend. I got to experience grilled pineapple for the first time and it is heavenly. I would highly recommend it if you haven't tried it. I would suggest coating it in cinnamon and brown sugar. Seriously...HEAVENLY.

Yesterday, we overslept so didn't make it to church, but it was nice to sleep in. We lied in bed almost all day watching Netflix and cuddling. o:) Around 5 or so, we got up and got dressed and went to Mooyah's for dinner because I had some gift cards to use. It was incredibly yummy. Mr. Mo had the turkey burger (which I tried and it was delicious. I will be getting that next time) and I had the bacon cheeseburger. I look forward to going again.

Afterwards, we went to the store to pick up a few things and then headed back home. I changed back into my jammies and Mr. Mo made a pound cake since we had strawberries and pineapple left over but only 1 piece of cake left from the night before. After the cake went into the over, he made us a bowl of strawberries, and pineapple pound cake with vanilla bean ice cream to share. I did not log it. Oops.

We finished OITNB (Boo, Piper) and started watching Breaking Bad. We are on season 2 episode 3 already and just started watching yesterday afternoon. What an incredibly well done show!

It was an incredible weekend that was not only fun, but very productive. I am looking forward to spending the week with my honey since Rachael is in Alabama with my mom and stepdad.

Sorry so long, but I just had to share!

GUESS WHAT?!?! I just got promoted!!! I've only been at this job for 8 months!!! I don't know what my raise is yet, but since I was already doing the work, I'm basically going to get paid more for what I already do.

ANDDDD....I only gained 0.4 on my vacation. I was truly expecting seven pounds or so, the way I ate.

    YIPPEE, Monday!

I didn't like milk much when I was little... drinking milk by itself was basically unheard of for me (didn't HATE it, just wasn't much of a fan). Now that I'm older my love of dairy products in general has GREATLY increased. I always loved yogurt (and ice cream, of course) and still do... but cheese and milk have become much more enjoyable for me. My mom is very much lactose intolerant and cannot drink milk or eat much ice cream without getting sick. :(

I am lactose intolerant as well. I eat all the yogurt! I can have milk or cheese very occasionally, but mostly it makes me vomit. :(

Buy lactose free items, or take a lactase enzyme pill before you eat dairy. Seriously. It's life changing!

@quiksylver296 Yay!! Congrats on your much deserved promotion and vacation weight loss!

@MoHousdon Sounds like a great weekend.

@riderfangal Thanks for asking. She has been taking the Klonopin a little less, so she's been feeling better than she was. She's in IL visiting a friend right now and planning to head back to Indiana on Wednesday, so that will be the true test - only a week or so before she'll be moving in with me until school starts at the end of August. She's going to live on campus because she thinks it will force her to make friends there.

@riderfangal I can totally get behind some retail therapy! Better than going home and eating lots of high caloried food! (in my opinion so not trying to offend anyone, I obviously can't stop feeding myself haha)

I HATE shopping, hate it! I feel like its all I do sometimes. Yesterday I needed new pants for work, so while out running my errands I stopped in my usual clothing store, and was in and out with two pairs of pants in ten minutes. When I have to spend time trying stuff on or looking for something in particular, it drives me mad, I wish everything I needed was just bagged at the counter and I could just go in and pay and get out, lol. Today I have to go grocery shopping, which is the bane of my existence......ugh.

I have to go do this today. I've been putting it off for a week. I just hate it :disappointed:

Ok, I'll try to keep up. I got another confession though... I use mens shampoo/body wash at the gym because I can't find an all in one that is made for women, and don't want to be bothered with more than one bottle.

Also, I don't wear undies or a bra when I leave the gym because I don't want the trouble of trying to get them back on when I'm all spent from working out, lol.

I confess that this morning I got up at around 5:30 AM to get a shower & after putting Herbal Essence 2 in 1 in my hair I almost put body wash in my hair.

I also confess that some days I forget to wear deodorant to work.

I do this quite frequently - in fact I forgot today. Thankfully I had put a stick in my purse so I was able to put some on when I remembered!

They are obviously subjective, as the Lemon Cream Pie is my favorite and makes other people gag. The new Chocolate Mint is good. I like the Coconut Cashew, White Chocolate Raspberry, Brownie (especially heated in the microwave for 10-15 seconds), too. The only flavor that I couldn't even finish was Peanut Butter Chocolate, that was gag-worthy in my opinion. I haven't tried any of the other peanut butter flavors because of it.

ETA: Oh, and Apple Pie is good, too.

It depends what you like. Most people who like the bars like the Cookie Dough and Cookies n' Cream flavours, and the S'mores is similar (sweeter). I prefer the Double Chocolate Chunk to any of those as it's a bit less toothachy sweet, but those are probably the four most popular chocolate flavours and the best chocolate ones IMO (haven't tried the chocolate mint one yet though.)

The White Chocolate Raspberry and Strawberry Cheesecake are okay but also VERY sweet (I have a sweet tooth but they're too much for me), but I really like the Apple Pie and Banana Nut Muffin (which seems to be an unpopular opinion.) I also really like the Cinnamon Roll one.

I didn't care for Coconut Cashew, Vanilla Almond, or Lemon Pie, and I haven't tried any of the peanut ones because my husband is very allergic.

ETA: The texture does take some getting used to as they're dense and chewy, almost toffee or caramel-like, but they get softer if you heat them in the microwave for a few seconds and a lot of people prefer them that way.

I am incredibly tired today. I only got about 3 hours of sleep last night. My dog had me up several times with an upset stomach, and then we had a brief, but loud, thunderstorm. I asked my dad to go check on her today while I am at work and she messed in the house, which is very out of character. I'm hoping it's just something that didn't agree with her and is making its way out of her system. (She's still acting normal otherwise.)

I have my weekly training session tonight and I hate that I'm so tired for it, since I know I won't be able to push myself as hard as normal, and then I feel like I'm letting my trainer down.

Basically I'm just feeling whiny and emotional from the lack of sleep. This morning I had to stop to put air in one of my tires, and I was ready to cry because the hose wouldn't wrap up properly when I was done. (I don't deal well with lack of sleep lol)

I SO relate to this. If I don't get sleep, it messes me up so bad. I can relate to crying over things like that due to lack of sleep. I'm sorry that you didn't sleep well.

I REALLY hope your dog is doing okay.

She is doing better now. I ended up taking her to the vet yesterday. Three nights of waking up every two hours (or less) was too much. She's on some meds that seem to be helping already & will have her back to normal soon (I hope!)

I saw your post that you were having a tough time, and I hope today is a better day for you

    Is she good now?

I am still a bit nervous because the meds were finished on Friday so she's "on her own". Things seem to be improving though so I am hopeful the antibiotics took care of whatever it was and she won't need further vet visits.

THIS X1000. The Pledge, er, lemon pie flavor is the worst. It's right up there with the white chocolate raspberry one. Sorry @quiksylver296

    You all are broken. ;)

I've been wanting to try Quest bars! Can you all recommend the best flavors??

Do they keep you full for breakfast?

They're the only thing I ever eat for breakfast, but before I tried them I didn't eat breakfast at all so I might not be the best person to ask. I do not wake up hungry and I rarely got hungry before lunch even before, but eating something makes me more alert in the morning so they're working for me as pretty much the only thing I can consider stomaching at 7AM (little bites washed down with a big coffee and a bigger water because all that fibre is bad news otherwise.)

I have two NSV's to share with you all:

I haven't been wearing any of my jeans because they were way too tight. I put them on this weekend and they're loose. They won't be wearable shortly.

And secondly - when I stand up straight and look down - I can see my toes!!

    Woohoo!

currently doing the 20 page catch up, in the meantime....

    post date update!

ok, so i met the really nice dude for the first time on 7/9.
since that thursday, i have literally spent some time of every day with him. ranging from two hours, to entire days.
    it's been absolutely amazing.

there was a slight hiccup on friday, where apparently he had had a panic attack on wednesday and didn't tell me. and the reason he didn't tell me is because the panic attack was from him getting freaked out that what we've been doing must be too good to be true, the shoe was going to drop and he was going to be crushed. he thought he ruined the potential of us having a relationship by letting things go too far too fast and was just overwhelmed by the whole thing. (which i actually think is pretty darn precious, just wish the poor dude didn't have to have a panic attack over it). so on friday, he was trying to reel things back a bit and to me it was like, oh and he's the rejection i've been expecting!

but then amazingly, on saturday, and then some more on sunday, we completely talked through everything. and he never got angry, or defensive, or stormed off (which was 97% of any discussion from my previous relationship). we came to a mutual conclusion on going forward and how we wanted to keep going forward. it was kinda awesome.

like really awesome. super great even ;)

and now he's determined to help me get my house done. my place has been in a constant state of "under construction" since i bought it. the ex wasn't exactly carpentry savvy, or motivated, so nothing was ever finished. lots and lots of starts, nothing finished. so yesterday we spent the whole day working on the dining room that still had naked walls and exposed insulation. one of the things he said while we were working that just totally made me melt was "just so you know, we're going to be eating dinner in here before the end of this week. this will be done" *sqee!*

yeah i'm pretty sure i've decided to keep him :D

I'm so excited for you! I hope things keep going well, he sounds awesome!
