View from Arthur's seat, which was a tough climb! And I watched people RUN UP IT!

Palace of Holyrood House. This was magnificent. I couldn't take pictures inside, unfortunately.

Westminster Abbey. I made it back into London to see this as it was closed by the time I made it there last week.

@Oberon21 - You are amazing. I loved the videos of all the push ups. I don't think I could handle doing 22 a day. I would be the person who splits it up into two times a day of 11 if that. My upper body strength sucks, but getting a bit better.

Had a bit of a reality check today. Tried on some dresses, old bridesmaid and my wedding dress and of course I cannot get them zipped. I have about four weeks until my stepdaughter's wedding and I have a dress I could use, but I need to lose a bit to get it to zip. They actually zipped further than I thought, but still too small. Time to kick it up on the work outs.

Ooh, I hate it when that happens. Good luck!

So Denni and Son 3 are going to Webelos resident camp (similar to Boy Scout camp, but only 3 nights not 6 and is for 4th & 5th graders) tomorrow. This is my last boy and his last resident camp. I am a little sad. However, I am not here to confess sadness. I am here to confess that I was pleasantly surprised by him today. I have given him my old hiking boots (that they fit also makes me sad, but I get new ones AND he won't mind finishing the job of wearing them out.) so I bought him some good hiking socks to take to camp this morning, I threw them on my bed, thinking I'd pack them when the rest of his clothes were dry, and then I couldn't find them. Turns out he put them in his sock drawer. "you know, where my socks go?" I was impressed and surprised that he put them away for himself.

Thanks. I think I'm going too try and keep it up. I was amazed by how sore my lower abs were so think this could be really good for me. I never think pushups=better abs but clearly they do.

    Oberon,
I enjoyed your vacation emensly! Some how I missed the Videio of the push ups. It sounds intense.

    Crosbylee,
4 weeks. Can you almost zip them. You got this.

    Ahh,
Last one. But it's not over. You'll enjoy many good times ahead.

Socks are always a puzzle in our house.
Where do they all go. And how do they split so quickly?

@raymax4 Wendy, I always blame the dog when socks disappear. She likes the scent of my boys sweaty feet. I found a dozen or single socks under my couch no too long ago. She never takes mine or daughter's - just stinky boy socks.

I confess that I am irrationally angry at my employers right now. They bought birthday cake "for everyone." Only there are three people in my department who can't eat it and they made no effort to provide an alternative for us. Thanks so much. It's hard enough to have celiac when everyone isn't singling you out for not participating in the party.

Boo, Mel. That really stinks! You should go get something delicious for the 3 of you and not share it with anyone. That's what I'd do, but I'm a petty jerk.

Another supervisor (my own is on vacation and would have probably bought Udi's muffins for us because she wants to include us) brought cake to my group and when I said, "No, thank you", instead of just walking on said, "oh, that's right, you don't want it.". I replied, "I want it, but if eat it you'll have to send me home."

I didn't CHOOSE to never have cake again. I do make a decision every time I eat not to need blood transfusions, iron pills (which have to be taken with vitamin C), 2400 mg of ibuprofen daily, steroid shots every three months, and migraine meds daily so that I can be lifted out if bed by my husband two or three hours before I have to be somewhere because getting dressed HURTS and I have to give the meds time to work so that I can move. That was my reality before my diagnosis. I want the cake. I can't live with the consequences of doing what I want to. I really wanted to hit her. I really did. I still do.

Sounds like something I'd do too.
