    SUNDAY

    Good morning,

Bought Japanese Peanuts at Asian store and will take them to work, they are nice and crunchy and i worry about my dental work- so I will keep the banana chips (not so hard on my teeth) and see what I can get at the store today....

Found a recipe for sticky pork chops that does not require frying them before hand just baking will make 2. Will also make black bean burgers again so on we go.

My snake toy project is almost done head is a dark green and my eyes got tired. Baby blanket is in last skein and I will start crocheting leaves to decorate at work. Keep those hands busy makes it harder to snack.....

Wishing all a good morning. BBL.

    Good morning Sara --
So so glad to hear about the fix on the television! I love it when it's something simple.

Official weigh in day today (at home of course), and I am down 1.2 pounds from last Sunday. Also the weekly low was lower than the week before.

*waving hand for Cabana Boy to bring more coffee*

Hi! I've been losing and regaining 10 pounds for four years. I'll CICO for a couple of months and give up just when I'm seeing progress. I avoid the food diary when I overeat. I've lost 6 pounds and am determined to stick with it this time. I have 90 pounds to lose. SW: 245. CW: 239 GW: 150.

Hey Lana what are the cboys wearing as they serve coffee?? Awesome weigh in and kudos for you. Iced tea/coffee as well?

English muffin with a little peanut butter and broccoli salad I got at store for lunch - why?? Because I am lazy today. Will make Black bean burgers for dinner (with leftovers for week) and sticky pork chops (baked) for 2 and I will make that after dinner it has a 60 min total bake time. I actually bought a meat thermometer and not a digital one (too $$) at store today. Onwards and upwards. 5 servings of zucchini enchilada in freezer. So most of my meals are "locked and loaded". Dont ask why that phrase except I get bored with what I write.

Dog to vet after lunch - new lady in office wants me to teach her knitting, so I might set up some items resources for her.

Sheila - welcome - what is CICO? Stop by and post when you can.

    Toaster oven dinged.

    Hello all! *Waves*
Have had a busy, but productive weekend. Working on house projects, cleaning, and did a good amount of meal prep. I have some crustless quiche (used a bunch of veggies i needed to use) and some korean ground beef with quinoa and veggie stir fry! Cut the grass today and worked up quite a sweat: it's still pretty hot and the humidity was over 80%...

I am going to try to start incorporating some walks in this week after work and counting steps to try to be at least more active than I've been. I'm so used to doing nothing that I really need to just get used to doing SOMETHING. Rather than starting big with unattainable goals I just need to get used to moving, period.

Tomorrow is Monday... sigh. Oh well. Going to make the best of it. Have the lunches prepped, clothes ready, etc. Going to try to move, drink lots of water, and stick to the meal plan. Excited for this upcoming 3 day weekend. Putting the doggies in the kennel (we get them their own room with couch and tv.. they are spoiled), and we are heading to Jacksonville, FL to see my father-in-law and sister-in-law. Should be nice and relaxing!

Your week staycation sounds lovely, @gemwolf110! Enjoy it.
Congrats on the loss, Lana! Great work!

    MONDAY

    Good morning,

Weigh in is up, but 2 things -1 I weighed myself and 2 had a lightbulb flashbulb moment - I am really rotten at drinking water on weekends...... something to work on.

Eryn, I got hungry reading your post. Many of us have jobs were we sit for hours at a time. Any walking helps keep the neurological connections "fluid", so go get those walks and enjoy. Even a walk down a hall to the bathroom is steps.....

Air quality is moderate for the first time in weeks and the moon is its normal color again. What a relief.

My neck pillow comes with a snap. It is hard to wear when it is over 100 so I dont. I find it tossed in the middle of the night, so time to start using the snap again.

Wave to all who follow. Make it your best Monday

    Monday!

    Good Morning, all!

You're so right about the steps! Going to move as much as I can. Desk jobs can be killer for sure.

Have a staff meeting at 9. Loading up on coffee now.

    Have a great day, everyone!

Good morning all! Busy weekend. I don't get on MFP much on the weekend. My DH and I took on a house remodel project 1 1/2 years ago. House built in 1854, but on the end of a dead end road - so we bought for location. He is a carpenter. We were able to move in December. Been busy with deck and siding this summer. So anyway...my excuse for not checking in much on weekends. Did ok eating-wise on the weekend. Seems that is where I breakdown. Also got in a couple of long walks with my daughter.
Tillie - so glad air quality is better.
ErynVee - I am willing to push cut our lawn, but NOT in high humidity. I applaud your effort!
Lana - congrats on the loss!
Missy - glad you are feeling better - enjoy your vaca!
Tilliesmom - how were the porkchops?
Have a great Monday. We are rainy and soggy here in WI. They promise humidity lifting Wednesday!

Amazingly, had 2 of the kids in same place at the same time on Saturday! Told them about my stroke. Soon as the words left my lips, their eyes were total panic. I think I got them calmed down by telling them about the tests and I will be talking to the doctor on Thursday. Things are in a holding pattern until then.

So far only DH, 1 sister, my BFF, 2 kids, and all of you are aware. Not sure I will tell other siblings due to the way my older sister reacted. I know I will not tell my dad, at least not any time soon - we already lost my brother, my other brother is battling his second round of non-Hodgkins lymphoma, and my step-mom is recovering from breast cancer and knee & shoulder replacement surgeries. He doesn't need any extra stress!

Recovered my patio furniture this weekend. I had looked for replacement cushions but, even on clearance, they were $60 per set! (I need 4) So I bought outdoor furniture upholstery for a fraction of that to do all 4 chairs. Actually was easier than I anticipated. (although I do need to go get more of one fabric because I cut it wrong) It looks good as new now!

Am going to really work on logging each day like I used to, even if days are bad days! i know today will be bad, as it is my birthday and we are going out to a Brazilian steakhouse for dinner.

Sara - good to hear that the air quality is improving! and happy to hear the tv was easy fix! would using earplugs help with chatty & snoring neighbors??

Lana - congrats on the WI! how is weather down south? the heat and humidity hit here hard yesterday with 105 heat index!

will get back to lurking from work!

How many children do you have? How was it recovering the patio cushions, I am in the exact same boat. The actual frames are in great shape but the cushions are a disaster.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY - of course the day should be high calories as long as it's not every day!

    TUESDAY

    Good morning,

Today I have my yearly eval and monthly audit in one day. Why? because my Sup is behind schedule. Will just have to grin and bear it. Chocolate is in my plans today.

Black bean burger salad for lunch. Cafe has some really good options this week but 2 things - portion size and salt. So only once this week for the cafe.

Windows open again this morning and neighbor is snoring. Luckily I cant hear this with windows closed, but I wonder if closer neighbors can? Hmmm.

Kathryn, how did your birthday dinner go?

Lurking from work. Wave to all who follow.

    Good morning All~~

Sara - It must be annoying to have to have these meetings. Well, it is what it is--supervisor is behind schedule. I hope that all goes well; from what you have posted over the years, in the big picture they are happy with your work.
The Cabana Boys are in the Blue Maserati, coming to you with the special Water-Off-A-Duck's-Back Magic Spray to make things easier.
Leandro will see you on the beach after work ;)

Lana - bought a Hershey's Peanut and Pretzels to split between the two meetings. Cashews/banana chips, plum and banana are snacks (ignore the sun chips to go with lunch I am not telling my hips about those yet).

Watch me run home to spend time with Leandro!!

    Hello all!
Happy belated birthday Kathryn! I like steak more than sweets also!
Sara - I hope both audit and eval go well. Day will be over soon! Black bean burger does sound delish!

Going to try swimming today for exercise. 4.5 inches of rain in less than 48 hours. one more round of storms tonight and then cooler weather. So far nothing more severe than water though, so no complaints. Might have to wear mud boots to get at my garden produce lol.

    Happy Tuesday!

Have the day to myself in the office as my coworker had to go home. Then I'll have the evening to myself at home as my hubby is working evenings today.

It should make for a good active evening and low calories because I only have to worry about myself for food.

I just sent in an application for the second craft fair for the fall. I am being more selective this year and doing the bigger shows so I don't waste hours sitting and not selling anything. I hope they are successful as that will pay for Christmas.

Hi all! And happy belated bday, Kathryn!!!

Busy work day as usual. Had my crustless quiche and a bit of my leftovers from yesterday for lunch with a 100 calorie pack of natural almonds/walnuts for a snack!

Doing an easy, but within calorie sub for dinner tonight since the husband and I are going to do some house stuff. He’s going to do some grouting and I’m going to do some painting. We just recently put down new floor in our bedroom (we had pipes burst a few months back, so our floor has been concrete since!) and now I am excited to paint an accent wall, lol. So that’s my plan for the evening.

About to head home for the day! Have a great evening, all!

These are samples of our work. My husband wood burns and I paint. The little snowmen are only painted and dressed by me.

This year we plan on adding to it a bit and doing some picture frames, boxes, key holders, etc. Last year was our first year and we sold close to $3000 worth of items. We have a facebook page called Riverwood Crafts Yeg

Very cute Snowflake! Good luck at the craft fairs. I had a BIL that did them ears back selling stained glass. He quickly figured out which ones were good to attend and which were not.
Lana - you made me laugh about your restaurant experience!
Eryn - painting - good luck at that as well. I am not good at painting (:
Have a great night - skies are getting ominous here. Storms are coming....

Lana - imagine the $$ you saved as well. One of these days what you were tempted to do will be the best thing and you will enjoy it.

Lady who sits next to me makes lace and I have boxes of stuff from a former neighbor. It is heavy so I may just drop it off at work on way to apt #1 tomorrow. I hope she embroiders because there is more for that and the old good stuff you cannot buy anymore.

On couch with plenty of room - hide with me in the corner as I watch Leandro go through his moves. ;)
