Aotd: finally rolled out of bed and got my blood work done without gulping down coffee and cream in the post sleep haze. Fasting is hard when you’re a “not actually alive until caffeine” person.

My diet has been egg sandwiches, chicken hummus wraps, and warm veggie soups with apples, nuts, and eggs as snacks. I’m actually low on calories most days but I don’t feel hungry so I guess something is working??

But I’m also getting a bit burnt out on eating the same thing everyday whoops. Maybe I’ll change to breakfast burritos and protein bowls next week.

Hey Lana - can you let us know when you get to your destination? I just keep seeing pictures of lots of snow on the news.

This was not fun to wake up to! Temps are up to a sweltering -4° or so I've heard. Hoping wind has died down some. Those windchills are killer - literally!

aotd: nothing going as planned. Did not get to grocery to get produce. Have kitchen torn apart for paint, so no way to really cook a good meal at the moment. Just trying to make decent choices and keep calorie count in the green!

    THURSDAY

    Good morning,

Humidifier on full blast has made for some very colorful dreams this week. I have "been" to India, and last night I was living in a elderly home with Judy Dench and we found a way to escape. Last piece of my dream was Judy stealing a medicine to make the staff sick so we could escape again.

Those in very cold places hang in there. I often wonder what our forefathers did. Here in CA they would rest in the hottest part of the day in summer and work until sundown.

Multi color scarf done will try and get picture. Started gray/grey scarf last night.

Miss T will be 13 in March and we enjoy one day at a time. She had me up at midnight to go out. Need to be gentle with her, but midnight does push it a little. At least she did not want to romp around for a half hour like last time.

Stay warm and safe out there.

    Wave to all who follow.

I don't think I'm about this curried cauliflower soup I made :disappointed: I mean its fine it's just not as good as the potato leek or the asparagus potato... or maybe its burn out. Anywho, I also forgot breakfast so I'll be falling back onto my old friend tuna on the run.

Everyone stay warm and humidified.

    Good afternoon, friends!

Had my dental procedure this morning and it went very well. No pain, no panic. Feeling excited to have this done.

I just ate some mashed avocado. Bought heavy whipping cream when I picked up my prescriptions, so I may have Keto hot chocolate or a Keto frosty later. Just depends.

@Tilliesmommy1 Good deal! Noticed your posts and you have really been getting your steps in this week.

I have been glued to chairs in front of my computer or in meeting rooms. Taking the stairs always, but have been taking extra all week and have managed 10 flights every day for last 3 days. Dark o'clock by the time I make it home so hitting the exercise bike for an hour every night. Tonight the hubby is out of town and Jack Ryan is keeping me company as I peddle along. Well, at least he makes for good scenery!

The weekly Wellness meeting was last night and sometimes a different approach can be good. They are VERY insistent on 5 servings of fruit and vegetables every day without fail. It does keep me full! Making slow and steady progress.

    FRIDAY

    Good morning, TGIF

Suzu - 5 fruits/veg keeps the munchies away and with the extra water it is hard to think about going to the vending machines! They wrote on WW boards about wanting to eat your arm if you didnt eat substantial enough food and I found that amusing.

Lost time - dog grooming Saturday - saw card on calendar wasnt sure what day. Groomer called to see if I wanted to come - lost of electricity is what is worrying groomer. Forecast is good chance of rain and possible lightning, so dont know. We are playing it by ear at the moment.

Will keep up peanut butter in oatmeal, dont know if I want to make applesauce every week.

Lurking from work. Wave to all who follow.

Morning! Weather hit a warm-up but brought showers with it. Can't complain, we had it so lucky compared to the rest of the country.

TGIF!!!!!!!!!!!! And it is Super Bowl weekend!

Snow and freezing drizzle made for a very slick commute. Morning news reporting crashes all over. My adrenaline rush from the drive in this morning is starting to wear off and I am about to fall asleep at my desk!

Sara - what on earth did you eat or see before bed to give you dreams like that?? our humidifier (hooked to the furnace) decided to quit working. i have really taken it for granted. am miserable right now.

suzu - I actually did wear red today - a red flannel shirt. So did several guys I work with! Looks like a lumberjack convention in here! :D

marsel - the potato soups sound MUCH better to me than curried cauliflower.

twiley - glad the procedure went well! my vote was for the frosty because we always used to get ice cream after going to the dentist when i was growing up.

Dawn - i think we are sharing similar weather patterns. its wreaking havoc on my sinuses though. its like i have nonstop headache. yuck!

On the bright side, even with less than healthy eating due to kitchen re-do, the scales are heading in the right direction!

    Hello and waves to all.
Happy to report I survived the Polar vortex in WI. I did so even having to take my doggo out on a leash to do her business because she is banned from walking in the snow due to stitches in her leg. So I bundled up each time and braved the cold. The downfall is my extra walk in AM has been non existent. Then work closed so my inside walk at lunch around the building also didn't happen. Couch potato for two days! -24 was the lowest my thermometer hit, which was real temp. Windchills brought that down to wicked cold.
Twiley - happy to hear dentist did you well!
Everyone in the huge temperature swings - i hope you can break out the shorts Sunday
    Have a great Friday!

Temps are climbing! Woo hoo! At least thru the weekend they say. Then, downward and possible snow/ rain. Never know. By the weekend, could all be different.

Kathy- be safe driving. We didn't get any precip with the cold. Thank goodness...

    SATURDAY

    Good morning,

Rain is here and more on the way - through Tuesday.

Decided on taking rest of pork out of freezer and making fried rice.

Super Bowl and all the decadent foods, I folded and bought frozen french fries to bake and have with cheese. Chili has too much salt before weigh in day.......

Crawling back into bed with Miss T - 2 pit stops last night - rained hard last night and dog and human were not interested in getting wet. So I got to take her out again.

Another lazy day ahead. At least I'm not hungry. Getting by on mashed avocado, scrambled eggs, and fat bombs I made a couple of weeks ago.

Would love to have a massage from one of the Cabana boys. And could he bring a book, please? I finished mine yesterday. Thanks!

@Twiley510 What do you like to read?
@Tilliesmommy1 - I would eat any of the above but the chicken and waffles look AMAZING!!

Morning All! Sooooo glad to be off work today. Temp much milder than it has been and Baxter-the-Wonder-Dog and I hit the green-line for 3.25 miles. Part is urban, then we head into river and forest. 7,568 steps in.

Now getting husband up and we have to get Java, our 98# Shepard to the vet for her shots and nail clipping. Java hates the vets. ...Almost as much as she hates riding in the car to GET to the vets. One of us drives and the other tries to survive the mayhem in the back of the SUV. It is not for the faint of hart.
Planning on Superbowl cooking later today... Anyone have a good recipe for skinny wings???

I love mystery/suspense. The book I treated myself to was Sandra Brown's "Seeing Red." My favorite authors are Patricia Cornwell, Catherine Coulter, Dean Koontz, Carol O'Connell, and Sandra Brown.

I also love Sci- Fi. Asimov is the best. I re-read the Foundation series on a regular basis.

I read just about anything. Celebrity auto-biographies became an obsession a few years ago. Betty White, Alan Alda, Dick Van *kitten*, and Carol Burnette all have fantastic books.
