Sara- I guess so. Not sure why I expected different. But, it was good and yes, we do have enough for a couple meals... hope all went well with Miss T and hardware store visit...

Lana- hugs! Hope your sister is doing well..

Today was a stay at home kinda day... did some laundry, worked on a Halloween project, got Scentsy goodies ready for delivery, watched scary movies and, just relaxed... not ready to go back to work, tomorrow... but, I'll make it...

    Have a good evening all..

    MONDAY

    Good morning,

Weigh in is holding steady, now to stop eating extra food so much.....

Kathryn, go for yourself and your side of the family.

Got a new humidifier and slept very well last night. Boxes to pack /repack things and so I can get this move going slowly.

Hoping to get the cooking done tonight I meant to do yesterday - nap was more important.

Wave to all who follow. Make it your best Monday.

on my way in to work, saw a giant nearly double rainbow. then huge storms rolling through this morning. its dark as night outside and the rain is coming down in sheets. its really loud.

have been so bad lately with the emotional eating and the near binging. DH insists on having junk food in house. Its difficult to ignore it. last night it was the peanut M&Ms. if i eat one, then i end up eating 50! i know better but somehow cannot stop myself.

made the promise to exercise after work only to turn my ankle. right now its hurting when i walk. i may have to do elliptical or ride bike instead. will see how ankle feels at the end of the day.

Kathryn - You were fortunate to see the double rainbow! What a pain about your ankle. 😰

Sara - That is so great that you got a good night's sleep and have that new humidifier. Very important!

My sister took me to the YMCA--she lounged by the pool while I did 45 minutes of water exercise on my own. The weather here is so beautiful today.

Waving to everyone else who stops by later on~~

    TUESDAY

    Good morning,

Dog got me up early to go out. Fair enough I passed out on her and she didnt get her last outing......

Trying to substitute water/herb tea for a couple of my cups of tea/coffee - maybe why I passed out last night? See if that will change the scale a little.

Back for more sleep after breakfast. Wave to all who follow.

A friend surprised me with tickets to see Elton John this weekend. She thought I needed cheering up. I was floored. So this weekend will be major emotion swings from concert to funeral.

    WEDNESDAY

    Good morning.

Gee how this week is flying by. Found out yesterday my next training is Medicare. Other woman does the rest, so with any luck this trainer interaction is tapering off- daily tylenol is not a good sign.

QOTD: To keep the calories down, what food do you measure?

AOTD: I measure the oil for my ww, I measure the sugar in my oatmeal.

Repacked Christmas decoration box last night and just now found the bag of my Christmas crochet work to decorate cubicle phew what a big sigh of relief. I may learn a new pattern, but to remake what I had?? Not happening.

Okay, walking breaks today. I have had to use breaks for the 'events' in the lobby but not today.

    Wave to all who follow.

Hello! Spent a couple of nice fall days off of work. Now back to the grind stone.
Kathryn - my DH is a horrible eater. He has such a sweet tooth, loves chips, drinks mt.dew. I guess I always envisioned he would get healthier, but has not and now we are in our 50's. I always think if I lived alone I would be skinny - probably not true, because it is not about him. But they sure don't make it easier do they. I am glad you made the decision to go to funeral. You are correct - it is about you and her. Not the rest of the famdam.
Sara - I too am glad you are sleeping. Good luck with move. Medicare? - good luck. Complicated program!
Lana - enjoy the great weather. I am jealous of pool time! Great job getting your exercise minutes in!
    Princess Tiny Heart - welcome!
Waves to Dawn, Tracy, Skinny ,Nikki, Laura, Suzu, Runa and all others who swing on by!
    Have a great Wednesday!

AOTD: I try to measure everything. I have a digital kitchen scale for most foods I make or eat at home (and am not in huge hurry). I kind of eyeball it or use the "hand" measuring reference when out. Even when I don't use enough self control and have a bad day, I still log everything.

Went to dr today about ankle pain. She says its Achilles tendinopathy. Told me to rest it, gave me steroids, anti-inflammatory, stretches/exercises to do, and strict orders no high heels or anything with any kind of a heel for 2-3 weeks. (Which leaves me one pair of shoes for work. :/ ) Oh, and no treadmill or even exercise bike for 2-3 weeks either. :s If not at least a little bit better same time next week, have to go back to see her again.

    Welcome to Princess Tiny Heart!

AOTD: Dang. I have not been measuring anything lately. At home, I measure raisin bran, milk, but little else. I haven't been tracking (w measuring) in months--only daily journalling of food. Obviously that will need to change when I get home.

I know that this is lame, but I don't want to do it here at my sister's house or else she will catch on, and suddenly every single thing will need to be weighed and measured. I'm just not up to that right now.

Waving to Sara and Dawn and Missy and Kathryn and Runa and Tracy and Tracey and Lynn and Nikki and Laura and Skinny and Saltine and Ama~~~

Wednesday Day Cabana Boy Happy Hour at 5PM today! 💚 🌴⛱ 💚

While at doctor office, I got both a flu shot and a shingles vaccination. Am really starting to feel it now. Both arms hurt. Have been trying to keep arms moving to keep pain to minimum. I wonder how many people have walked by my office and seen me flapping my arms like I was doing the chicken dance! :D

Had VIPs in today. Someone brought donuts from an acclaimed local bakery. Of course, I could not say no. It tasted soooooooooo good. I would say I will walk longer to make up for it, but no walking for me for awhile. Ugh! I will REALLY have to watch what I eat so I don't balloon up while I am letting ankle heal.

Other than pushups and lifting weights, does anyone have any good upper body exercises that would burn some calories since I cant walk??

here in an uneducated answer Kathryn, does chewing faster burn more calories? Otherwise I would think of light weights (canned food) and doing arm exercises would be a possibility??

Low flying spies and vultures, at work. Will be at the cboys happy hour......

    Hey Kathryn -
I am in the same boat as you: I did something to my left foot, so I am staying off of it. I bailed on my morning walk after 3 minutes.....

I got down on the floor and did a bunch of abdominal exercises and leg lifts. Better than nothing for me; maybe you can add that to your weights and push ups?

This stuff may not burn calories, so to speak, but toning up is always good!

Lana - its my left ankle! great minds injure alike?? :D I will do some floor exercises when I get home.

Sara - the chewing faster comment had me laughing! i had not thought of using canned food for exercising before. that is a great idea and easily available!

    THURSDAY

    Good morning,

First of 3 probation meetings with Sup. We shall see what we shall see.

Second box packed, little on the heavy side, so may rethink that. So much stuff to go through, but better now than in a rush.

    How is everyone's week going?

What a wonderful friend! I agree, go to the funeral for you. It will be exhausting. But, you will feel better having gone. Sorry her family has to be difficult. I just don't get people/ family, anymore...HUGS

    Good morning All~~

Sara - you are smart to start packing in advance. When is your actual moving date?
Good luck at that probation meeting--you know the drill. Take a pad of paper in with you, and ask for where they want you to do differently, make notes, and dazzle them going forward! ✨🌟✨

Tracy - we're sending Leandro to give you a massage to help you feel better. 😘🌴

Whoa! They warned that the shingles shot may kickstart my immune reaction but it would not actually make me sick. I am sore, achy, and have chills just like I was sick but I don't have fever or actually feel sick. Its a weird feeling. Makes me want to sleep all day though. Anyone else had the shot? Have a reaction like this? The shot they gave me was Shingrix not the Zostravax.

    FRIDAY

    Good morning,

TGIF - luckily this one I have off as I am tired. Facial/hair color and cut/ pedicure. May be the last facial I have for awhile as my budget just got smaller. Seems I got a cost of living increase, but it only applied to my old job title so the microscopic increase only gets applied to one paycheck. Just so impressed. Yes, I did just roll my eyes.

Looking into "jar meals" to see if it is easier/healthier/ cheaper.

Dog has been fed and I will eat breakfast before dog walk, so I can get more ZZZZ.
