Okie ~ You look great and so young. Are you sure you aren't in your 30's?

Christmas 2009. Weight 265
Nov 2016. ( the same weight I am now) weight 235
I think I have improved over the years, putting my health more in the forefront. A couple of stressful times here and there. Times when I ate whatever. No thought as to nutrients. Nope not anymore!

Great Before and After, Okie. Give us your top three tips on how you did it!1

Thanks Wendy! I think mine are probably the same as a lot of you ladies.
1. Eat foods I enjoy within my calorie allotment
2. Break a sweat every day - preferably for 30+ minutes (most days it is 60 min)
3. Weigh and log all my food and drinks, every day, whether above or below my calorie goal. Weigh and log my weight twice a week up or down. Compare the two if my weight was up to understand why.
Okie.

Wendy,I've always thought I was active but when I made healthy eating activity my hobby, I started seeing out additional opportunities to be active. I added additional dance classes to my weekly routine and bought an exercise bike for the living room. Now I walk the dogs for about three hours a day, go to two two hour line dance classes each week and ride the exercise bike and knit while I watch TV or talk to Jake. I meet my friends for a walk rather that for a meal. I continue to find ways to cut down on the time i spend at the computer.
These last few weeks since the pain started in my hip and leg, I've had to cut way down on walking. I haven't' gone to line dance class and I'm not riding the exercise bike. I've had to vastly reduce the amount of food I eatl. It has been very frustrating but I've found more time to read.

Whew! Tracey! So happy to see the cactus is alive and well.
Well, not that I’ve shaken my funk, DH has one. I wish he could talk out his feelings. I just have to guess. My guess is that he’s subconsciously worried about his friend who had the heart attack, but who knows really?
Well, we’re going to visit tomorrow. Maybe that will cheer him up.5 -
I love looking at photos of you LOSERS Yes Okie, great photo of your daughter, lol.... or is that your granddaughter?

Lanette - Ha! Thanks for the kind words. I was going to say the hard work of trying to maintain the loss starts now and I realized I’ve been in my maintenance range for over 5 months now.

Good for you! Maintenance is often harder than losing it seems so you are doing an amazing job!
When I got down to my WW goal I kept losing despite experimenting with adding "points". I then stopped losing, wobbled a bit then started gaining again.
This group is so neat because of all the neat tips and I really like MFP's setup for tracking macro's. And being able to review what is working and ascertain why. WW never had that capability when I left it a couple years ago.

Welcome Trucker! Good for you taking some weight off!!
My DH and I used to live in Snoqualmie - had a view of Mt. Si we took for granted I'm afraid (and the neighbor's trees were small, lol). We loved living in that rural area despite the hour commute to and from Seattle every day. That was 35+ years ago and your area has really grown.

The MRI went well but the lorazepam turned me into a stumble bum for the rest of the day. I didn't get much done. I read the report and have no idea what it means. Fortuntely I have an appointment with my doctor on Wednesday to go over the report and figure out what to do next.5

Loving the before and after photos! So inspiring to see the successes!
Trucker If you drink a single Premier Protein shake a day, you may be able to meet your protein needs without adding a lot of calories, fat, or carbs. One shake is 30g of protein, 160 calories.
