@RicciDarlene I hope we didn't scare you away with our jest about 204 mile run.
I thought it was fall 😭

    @RunsOnEspresso It is.wa0bl5weaapf.jpg

That's too cold. I need a nice 70-80 year round with very little humidity 😂

I'm English living in Boston, MA. My accent is very northern English, but there are a few words I 'Americanize', like 'tomato', 'water', 'butter' because if I don't, I get some very blank looks.

Battery? I know a nice Australian woman who lives in the area; she told a story of having trouble buying batteries because she pronounced it in the Australian fashion and the sales clerks couldn't tell what she was talking about. It also didn't help that her example was, "what you'd put in a torch." (Americans call them "flashlights.")

What's the quotation? "Two countries separated by a common language", or something like that. You should have seen the mime show my husband put on in Home Depot while trying to buy a bath plug. We eventually realized we should have asked for a tub stopper. Or rather seeing as we're in Boston, a tub stoppah.

Hm, I think I'd call it a drain stopper/plug. Sometimes you can't win for trying!

Would be my ideal as well, maybe a nice tropical island?

I'm out of things to binge watch. Then remembered you tube is on my roku. I found "The Run Experience". They seem to be a good resource.

If anyone needs a workout for runners there was a free subscribe thing. Be really good to build up those running muscles and address potential issues before they sideline us.

Yeah, I 'subscribed' to them over a year ago, and yes, they have some good videos and tips. But the only thing the subscription does is email you everyday to try to get you to join their paid online coaching program. I've been tempted several times, but have never pulled the trigger.

If anyone wants to hear my complete lack of accent, I have a YoutTube Channel, plus dozens of my sermons online... just Google my full name should bring them up.

Probably go for a run today. Yesterday was just too tired to think about it. No rest for the dying!

They were a sponsor for the SF Marathon (SF based group) and I got the emails as part of the all race promos. I haven't joined the online coaching program but I did subscribe to the youtube channel. I just look at the email and delete. They have some great training videos. Last week they had one on hip rotation that is really good and just what I needed. If I ever decided I wanted an online coach they would probably be my choice.

@Elise4270 yeah, I wish she had given me some pain meds. Then again, my liver area was sore up until the next afternoon, I assume from the anesthetic, so maybe it is good that she didn’t.

It wasn’t as bad as my brain had anticipated. Melanoma has good odds when caught early. I would definitely try to get that pathology report. If it is melanoma, don’t wait. I don’t know much about the other types, but I would think they should still be removed - maybe they don’t need to take as big of margins.

@garygse That’s funny. My son swore for the first time using a British accent when he was nine. It was because my husband had played a video game with him called The Getaway (I think), which was set in London. I was so annoyed, but it was hilarious. Are you picking up the Texas drawl?

Re accents - I'm a Brit living in Texas...which means the following exchange once took place:

Wife: Your son just said "*kitten*"
Me: Why are you looking at me?
Wife: He said it with a British accent
    Me: *kitten*

    HA! BUSTED!
