"My ex- is doing the same thing and also visiting my grandchildren. In order to remain sane, I have let go of the outcome. Well, not really. Just posting about it makes my eyes moist. He is putting 5 family members at risk because he thinks he knows better.

Karen V- I can’t put a lot of stuff on JR the list I took picture of has those lotions. We look like a lotion y cream shop here. Got Many types each for something else only 1 diaper cream has worked for us. Some that work for eczema inflame the keratosis vice versa .Been finding a balance since his birth
Petroleum jelly type I clean him very well apply after every change. Hubby managed to get 4 tubes when we saw this all coming .
Soaps only 2 have been safe on him Johnson y Johnson y Aveeno we try to get ones with oatmeal .
Amber Tx
JRs feet are getting wider y wider hard to get his shoes on.Expecting it to stop soon grow length wise before I know it then got to move up in shoe sizes. Gigantism growth spurts. Of course the hormones got his cheeks flared up so more creams y trying to keep it clean.2 -
terewilliams wrote: »DH works for USPS and is now on a 58 hour per week schedule. That's been physically hard on us as his reporting time is 4 am. But we are adjusting. Now when the clock goes off at 3 am I've adjusted to turn it off, shake him, and go back to sleep before he has gotten out of the bed.
Food for thought: When this is over there will be lots of clean houses, lots of babies and lots of divorces.

Tere - it's always good to see you. My husband works 55 to 60 hours every week throughout the spring and summer, and at 51 years old, it's really starting to hurt him, as it's a physical job. I'm lucky, as I'm up by 4 or 4:30 every morning - he is up at 4:45 and out the door at 5:15 a.m.
On the other thought - unfortunately, the domestic abuse hotlines are getting overwhelmed with those calls already. The ripples from this time are going to continue for years to come.
Love y'all,

We made it over there. Bea was happy to see us, but a bit confused as to why we had come. The older two were a bit sad.
On the way back we bought bread from a very hygienic bakery and veg from a Mediterranean store. I sanitised my hands during and have washed them three times during unpacking and after.

I had written a long post but then lost it so I'll comment on what I remember!
Karen ~ Congrats on your new job. It's good that people recognize as we get older we are still a needed part of society! I am sure your medical knowledge will benefit a lot of folks.
Janet OKC ~ Beautiful calming photo of your granddaughter and Jaxx. I know you are proud of them.
Amber ~ I have eczema around my lower legs and ankles. I contracted it when I first brought my Pom home and know that his really long puppy fur led to it. Lately, I have been using plain old vaseline on my very dry skin but have dr prescribed medication for when I get a bad flareup.
Oakie ~ Your common sense remarks to some posts are appreciated. Thank you for speaking your mind.
Amber ~ Those doggy toe nail pictures are gross.
Annie ~ I know how upset you must feel at your mom's continued disregard for staying in place.
BnL keeps sending emails requesting us to get him things that would require us getting out in public. His assisted living facility is on lock down for visitors and he just doesn't seem to get it. My husband is 72 and has 4 stents in his heart. He doesn't need to expose himself unless it is of vital importance. I am getting him things through Instacart and they will deliver to the door of the facility. Gets expensive though!
It's supposed to be bright and sunny here today but so far, it's just overcast.

Thank you for prayers! Initial blood work back and my WBC count is back up to 6.3! Apparently I have been fighting a yeast infection for 2.5 years without knowing it.5

Some of JRs lotions y his last sponge 🧽 (they were all bought up when cleaning home ones sold out here). Yes that’s all my antibacterial soap that’s left
Carol- Sure are When I worked at an animal shelter they were worse than that for ones cops removed even seen abused ones with burns ...of course the ones with burns investigators found the persons kids to also be abused as well in similar manners .
Domestic Hotline sure getting calls but how many need it the most the Abuser has taken phones away. Mine did that he even cut the outside wires. The calls are increased dramatically in some but not all areas, but they can still get help it’s just different looking .An advocate is by phone when they go to a hospital instead of in person they work even harder to place them but they don’t give up. They can call hotline, walk into a hospital right now ,or tell a boss some will help like Home Depot they offer help for it if their told,or call police even,go to family or friends home if they can. LAPD says their helping with emergency protective orders y temporary restraining orders. Depends on the city response plan or how their doing it at the moment. Some police have implemented a night watch detective for these cases . Some areas no increase ,decrease,y increase depends on the area right now in each countries locations.

Today exercising y eating good. Darn weights creeping lol 😂 I need to stay at 1200 calories but munching cravings got me4 -

Hello MFP friends. It has been quite a strange 2020, right? DH has been hospitalized twice once in Denver that resulted I. Multiple spevialist visits upon our return to Texas. He was diagnosised with H-Pyloric and given massive doses of antibiotics. Result was diarrhea for 40 days. Finally admitted to hospital in Dallas with C Diff. They were able to stop the diarrhea and get him hydrated so released him last Friday. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get all the medicine he needed so had to stay in Dallas. We were able to come home Monday afternoon and are so happy to be here.
I have had three injections in my eye so am able to drive thank goodness.
We have our puppy to walk and lots of weeds to pull. Lol
Karen - thank you for your posts of the videos. It really lifted my spirits.
Sorry I can’t go back and catch up but just know you have been In My thoughts.

Barbara - a trilogy is a series of three books that have the same characters and a continuous plot line. The trilogy I gave to my daughter is a Nora Roberts one. It is about a virus that changes the world. However if it also fanciful as it involves magics and such. I started the trilogy a couple years ago and just got the final two books for Christmas.2

Machka - so very happy that Rhody has joined your household. We've always loved black cats. Thanks for the link to your Flickr photos, I hadn't looked at them in a while. You live in a beautiful area.
Karen in VA -will your telemedicine job replace your Sunday clinic job? Sounds like your new office at home will be the perfect setup Can you see this becoming your new part-time job after you retire? (If you do.)
SuziQ - those jokes are awesome! Glad you had a good shopping trip yesterday, don't blame you for changing your mind about going to the nursery. Other days they'll be less crowded.
Michelle - I watched the COVID-19 update yesterday. It was short but one thing that popped out at me was that the new law requires private testing labs to report their results. So they'll be able to get a more accurate picture of what's happening. Hopefully it's showing that in some areas, our hand-washing, staying home and social distancing is paying off. Dr. Birx said that info should start coming in today if I heard her right.
Barbara - Pluto should get an award presenting health tips! LOL! Miniature Schnauzers might just become the most popular breed this year.
Our vet sent this out yesterday - I wonder if I could get Rosie to wear one:
OK ladies, make it a good day. I really enjoy seeing what's happening in everyone's life! HUGS all around!

Loving all of the kitties and puppies! Pip- I adore that pic of Rocky, Bullwinkle and Floyd! Are you still going into work? Or are you able to work from home, now?
Also loving all of the music videos!
I got my grocery shop done this morning and picked up a couple more tubs of Eucerin lotion. I can tell already (and I am not shouting this from the roof tops) but I foresee a run on lotions within the next couple of weeks. Because if people are washing like they should be, their hands are going to be chapped. I wash my hands a lot, normally, but I can tell I am doing it even more because I am going through my "thick" lotions really fast. IN regards to shopping; I have to admit it was SO HARD for me to NOT bring my reusable bags into stores (stores around here are not allowing them, anymore). I was still able to use them in Aldi. I also love to see how their cashiers have always, and continue to, squirt their hands with sanitizer in between each transaction.
The kids really had a great time for Have a Ball Day (no pics; I was too busy throwing and dodging balls) and our Kitchen Beach Party.
Jackson, the four year old in my care, asked me what the "party" is for Monday. !! I informed him that we can't have parties everyday; because that would make party days not that special. So...he settled for a normal Monday with fun things to do. lol I am going to have to think up activities and crafts for the week of April 6-10. I was scheduled to take that week off, but due to the virus and most likely new families needing my help, I postponed my vacation. I have an interview with a doctor/nurse family on Monday evening. Care will (most likely) start for their 2 year old on Tuesday. Three days a week, from 6:30-4:30. It is an hour earlier than my normal open time, but they are having a hard time finding someone, and I can be flexible.
Suebdew- so good to hear from you! Glad you and your hubby are home, now! What a month you have had!!
So...that is pretty much all that is new in my little corner of the world. Going to be doing some housework, laundry, daycare planning and baking this weekend. I have some brown bananas that are begging to become muffins and thought I would also make some cinnamon rolls for Tim and Colin. They are being good and staying out of my hair!
Love to you all! Think of you daily! ttfn xoxoxo KJ (Kelly)

Still around. On page 96. Heather! I’m so happy to hear Penny’s OK. I really want to see that place (Svalbard) some time.
I really enjoy your newsy posts and your meal menus. I’d forgotten fennel. One veg that might still be available when I market next.
Auntie Barbara, I think “The Stand” is very apropos. It’s possible I was thinking of “The Naked Sun”. It’s been sixty years or thereabouts since I read them. I still think “I, Robot” is a real classic.
I’m working today, so I’ll probably read and post some more this evening. TTFN!

Hi Ladies, back again.
I'm coming down after yesterday's self-induced Carb Coma, lol. I'm ashamed to say I've been baking for recreation as Barbie puts it. The good thing was that we made an 8 x 8 inch pan of lemon squares last four days. I added in some ice cream sandwiches for good measure. GACK! Felt sluggish and crappy this morning (I actually slept the best I had in a week!?? maybe passed out? LOL) but doing better. If the rain calms down I might partner up for a walk with my neighbor. We missed yesterday.
Covid-19 Modeling:My geeky NTJ personality is always interested in patterns, prediction, studying the outcome of human behavior. I was a sociology major in college and so am very intrigued at how this may all play out. Found an interesting link to research being done at UW in Seattle regarding modeling and prediction of when this may peak and how long it will last. Every area is different, some places are just starting to see infections and hospitalizations ramp up. The bottom line is that we might be social distancing for quite a long time.I was going over my budget sheet this morning... this staying at home as been great for the budget! Buying lots less food (doing freezer & pantry shopping instead). Discretionary buying in most areas way down - I like to spend time at stores grabbing this and that. Don't do it anymore. Gas purchases way down. The only column where spending is up is pet - many online places were sold out of dog food I get for my pups which is lower fat and protein (schnauzers prone to pancreatitis). So I found some and loaded up, they should be good for months.
Here's the link: https://amgreatness.com/2020/03/27/social-distancing-on-track-to-prevent-2-million-coronavirus-deaths-research-suggests/
Don't have to worry that relatives from far away will someday show up on the doorstep to visit for a few days. WOO HOO!

Lanette Working Sunday shifts until end of April, but not officially retiring. They won't be paying my medical insurance as of April 1, so it costs them very little to keep me on the books for the time being. I'll put in my official retire date to coincide with my 30 year anniversary (September). I may still work an occasional shift this summer after things settle down a bit. They always need people for summer vacations, which I hope we will be able to have by then.6

Machka: Sensible advice from the Australian government. Congratulations of the adoption of a kitty! I had a kitty in college days and a bit beyond who was half Siamese and half traveling salesman. She looked very much like your Rhody. Beautiful!
Karen: The student choir singing from home is so special. It is heart touching heart. I’m sorry that your ex is foolish and endangering loved ones by visiting when he should not. :grumble:
Tere: I’m happy to see your posting and sorry to hear that you have a skin condition that makes you uncomfortable. :flowerforyou:
SuziQ: I love the humor and it is so valuable these days. Thank you!
Carol in GA: Can you have a package shipped to B-n-Law via Amazon or UPS? :flowerforyou:
Kylia: Congrats on the new bloodwork results!
Lanette: Love the dog mask. It seems like that must be an exceptionally tolerant dog.
KJ: The kids re having a grand time. You are a spectacular day care provider.
I have been getting correspondence from Comcast on a monthly basis. It is addressed my neighbor’s first and last name, at MY address. I’ve repeatedly called Comcast to tell them I am NOT their customer. Today was another example. The person I talked to said that she would take care of the matter. I hope it is true.
I am rereading a series of books by a favorite author, Linda Lael Miller. I’ve enjoyed her writing for a long time. I have shelves of books and also am a customer of Library to Go. Reading for pleasure is one of the things that is not being compromised by world-wide health worries. YAY!!!

I'm very worried for my niece, more like a sister to me as only 6 yrs younger than I, her husband has worked for the past several years at the Denver International Airport. He came home Tuesday feeling sick, he now has cold symptoms and quite a bad cough, my niece starting these symptoms now also. Thankfully no elevated temperature at this time. My niece had a huge malignant tumor and her right kidney removed in November and has really not been doing so well since then. Please keep them in your good thoughts and prayers. They are staying totally at home.

Sue in Texas ~ So glad to hear from you. You were missed!
Janet OKC ~ Healing thoughts for your niece and her husband. Hopefully, it's just a cold or allergies. Mine have been so bad for almost a month now.
Amber ~ That is almost how I make potato soup. I use more chicken broth than milk in mine and perhaps a bit of cornstarch to thicken. Comfort food!
Katla ~ I hadn't thought about Amazon. Will investigate as I know they do food deliveries from Whole Foods.
