"Get to do"s and "chose well"s
Chose well: chiro, pooches down drive.
Bonus: BiMart, pulled a little more salal, trimed another section of fence, send SIL encouraging text.
Get to do: take pics of car, test Bluetooth speaker so can do BB&B or T’ai Chi from voice recordings, Pilot tech support 5034447924 to link subscription and fix login, measure potential greenhouse space and distance to outlet, make experimental almond paste, declutter sideboard, practice new dances (Nothing but You, Shake it like that, Larger than Life, Here I Go Again/Mama Mia, Real Deal, Get it Right); make garlic almonds for Barb and Dan; prep potato area and raised beds for beets, carrots, parsley root, parsnips, radishes and sow; weed drive again, finish weeding flower bed, mulch flowerbed; invest another 10 minutes in prepping living trust, Freddie’s for complete series TDAP <$48, get Shingrix vaccine. Reward: inventory seeds, plan fall cool season garden, order replenishments, figure out where to plant naked lady bulbs, Tuesday: call Progressive adjuster,

    17: positive post-its: not yet

Joe’s rx wasn’t ready so he’ll go into town tomorrow to pick it up. Hope getting out of the house lifts his spirits a little. Also will be grateful for the chance to do some vacuuming and laundry without adding to his discomfort.

Faye thank you for sharing your story. Warrioress indeed!
    Tracey Gnomies hahahahahahaha
Katla that’s what Joe recommends, but I’ve been reluctant. Have been placing my (false) hopes on a mace lanyard. I’ll have to reconsider.
Vicki “feel like I am taking a test and I am failing.”  Have you had test anxiety in any other situations?
    Heather  Love ‘em! Thanks.
Michele it looks like part of a rotisserie to me.
Rebecca Athena Rose gets cuter every day. Still in the shop? :noway:
Beth bug and windshield made me laugh then think, that would be a hard marriage to sustain.
Tina your knife sharpener reminded me of one of my favorite gifts from Joe: a magnetized, screw driver with various heads (blade, Philips, torx) and led light. Would you share your apple cider donut bread recipe?

Yesterday’s massage and today’s chiropractic appointment left me feeling a bit beaten. Time for an Advil and early to bed.

    Lighter, lovelies!

    Hi nice walk @Machka9 !

Just got a mail from assistant director saying not to come to school if we have any Covid symptoms.
    The main ones are
    fever- no
    dry cough - sometimes
    fatigue - often

I have allergies and its not rare that i have a mild occasional cough; Fatigue is not rare at all!
    Less common symptoms are
    achiness - occasionally
    sore throat-sometimes
    the runs -sometimes
    conjonctivites -no
    headache - no
loss of smell or taste - no
    rash - occasionally

Of course I can't stay home every time I feel tired. I feel tired at some point most if not every day, and some days quite tired. It's been like that for a few years at least.
Instructions that are impossible to follow.

M in Oz What beautiful walks! Still unable to walk here with bad air. Love the photos of the garden walk.

Air Quality It is as bad as it has ever been Online has 188 on one site as it has been for days and 208 on another. All I know is I woke up to a stronger smell of smoke and my nose burning. I briefly checked the outside and it is horrible.

Portland has the worst air quality in the world this morning according to the AQI trackers. I don't think upriver air is any better. I found this map and I had no idea there were this many fires in my area.

Michele It looks like it is off of a meat rotisserie, although the prongs look very heavy and close together for even an industrial rotisserie. The notches in it indicate it was maybe adjustable for reach.

AQI 148!!! This is BETTER!!! (AQI=Air Quality Index) We are west of Portland. Our weather forecast says possible thunder and lightning at about 1pm. That might be exciting. :star:

Barbara: I’d not only carry the gun, but I’d practice with it before walking the dog. It has been a while since we used our guns, so I am definitely out of practice. Your safety is at risk. Back when the cougar was roaming here, It too some dogs right off the leash while their owners were walking them.

(((Bananas))): I hope you feel better. :flowerforyou:

Machka: Six ways to wake a human is hilarious.

Pip: I’m curious about your pup’s head gear.:star:

I am frustrated with the Vet’s office staff. I called in for an appointment yesterday & was told to be there at a set time today. I was there with the dog. The staff said that Dr. F wouldn’t be in until later and I should come back tomorrow at 11am and wait for a turn. :ohwell:

I used plain whole milk Greek yogurt instead of sour cream.

Here is the link to the recipe. https://www.bonappetit.com/recipe/apple-cider-doughnut-loaf-cake

    It's delicious and freezes well.

First, Rhody hops up on the bed and purrs loudly. Then he walks up to my face or my husband's face and gives us a solid, damp, whiskery dab on the nose with his nose, at which point we reach out and pat him. Then he picks something up from the night table and drops it on the floor and hops down to have a look at it. While he's on the floor, he might as well check if there are any stray feet hanging out and give them a bit of a claw ...

HAD to share that one!!! With 7 cats- all are possible in a single night.

How long is it? Could be a meat tenderizer or for turning big pieces of meat like a roast or turkey. I’ve see the long ones used to toast marshmallows on a fire, could also be part of a bbq spit.

    Fayetta,

The weather vanes on the boats in the marina are all pointed towards the east. I hope they’ll bring a some quality air your way but the air here isn’t wonderful. It is a little better. For one example, I can see buildings & the outlines of trees over on the Washington side of the river.

Cool and damp here today, air seems better. We may get some rain later. DD is getting a tattoo today after work. It is to commemorate her dad who died last year. He was an avid chess player and teacher so she is getting a knight chess piece tattoo. It seems appropriate as she is into horses.

She will be late coming home so mom and I are going to have a salad for supper. DD is bringing home Godiva chocolate cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory for dessert. I have done extra exercise but doubt it will make up for all of those calories.

Katla - glad your air is clearing a bit. How is Arrow Doing? Will you have an opportunity to ride again before too long?

Pip - congrats on all the new things in your life. How is Yogi doing with all the changes?
Everyone take care Sue in WA
