Hey All!!! So i'm at a plateau... I've decided to step up my intense cardio to 45mins/day and increase cals A LITTLE BIT. Hopefully this change is just what my body needs to become a fat burning machine again!! Any suggestions for breaking this dreaded plateau?? I'm stuck at 173.4 for the past 3 weeks!?

Great job to all of you sticking to your NEW and healthly lifestyles!!!! :)

Sounds like a good plan. Do you eat your exercise calories? Changing that up can sometimes help. (i.e. if you don't, either switch to 1/2 or all; if you eat 1/2, either switch to all or none*; etc. *I lean towards ALL personally, but that's an opinion!)

Other than that, remember to stick to this for a few weeks before you will PROBABLY start to see anything. Don't rush it.

Good morning! Today is week 4 day 3 of the P90X and I've just been doing whatever I feel for this recovery week. I got up at 5 am this morning and rocked out Core Synthergenetics (sp?). This was my first time completing this dvd and all I can say is "It wore my *kitten* out". I mean btwn the lunge, kickback, curl, shoulder press exercise, the dreya roll, walking push ups, steam engines, superman/banana, bow/boat, squat runs and all the other exercises that I can't remember I was excited when those 57 minutes were complete. I know I wasn't doing all the exercises exactly the way the should have been done but I tried my hardest. I know in time I'll get better.

Good morning all! It is week 4 day 4 of the P90X series and I'm still in recovery week. During recovery week you don't lift any weight and I've been following that part of the routine but I've not been completing the dvds in the order that P90X recommends b/c I just don't like Yoga, so, today I completed Kenpo X and really felt like I was able to "Bring It". It was a great way to begin my work day. I have now arrived in the office but wanted to check in w/my people before I actually begin my work day.

so I am Back!!!! Our cruise was great once we got there.... Our flight from Philly on 2/5/10 was canceled because of the crazy storm and we drove to Florida for the cruise!!! Great Road Trip, and Thank God for Jimmy who kept us safe

I did good on the cruise given all the endless buffetts and great food, I worked out at the Gym, which was a treat for me, as I only do at home free workouts!!! I loved the machines  And I never took an elevator, only the stairs for me. Which worked well since our room was on the 4th floor and all the good stuff on 10-12!!!! I came home the same weight!!! YEAH ME!!!!

Then I got to work and it has been CRAZY for weeks, this is the first time since 2/13/10 that I was able to even get on myfitnesspal.... But I have been working out and eating well. No more weight loss, but maintaining is good for me.... Still have about 40 lbs I want to loss all together.

so keeping up with the healthy habits I have, only wish I could show a little more self control when it comes to those little bits here and there in the evening when I get home. Maybe I need to re-post my notes around our kitchen so I can come up OTHER things to do when I want a nibble treat that will ADD up by the end of the night!!!

I hope this finds everyone doing well!!!
    God Bless

It has been a whole 4 weeks and I'm still maintaining my weight, I couldn't be more pleased with myself. As I stated last week I seeing definition in certain places so overall I feel great about my progress. I've been doing the P90X series for the past month but starting Monday I'm switching to the Insanity program. I just received it last night and have only had a chance to check out the fit test and Plyometrics dvd and I know why they called this program Insanity. While I'm a bit nervous about taking on the huge feat I'm also excited.

Well I have to get the workout in before heading into the office. I'll check back in once the workout is complete.

    April 30: Goal 169

I'm down from last week, but up 0.6 from my Wednesday weigh-in (183.8). I _really_ wanted to put down 183.8 as today's weight, but that felt like a lie.

I know that this isn't exactly a plateau -- my weight has been fluctuating, bouncing back and forth between 183 and 185 for the past 2 weeks now -- but I've not been under the low 180s (except for a brief period in 2001 where I got down to 179) since I was 14 years old. My body was quite comfortable at 185 all through high school, and I think it's safe to assume that it's going to be a little bit of a challenge to get below 180 now.

Ugh. Nothing to do but drink some water, eat cleanly and get on with the rest of my day.

    Happy Friday, all!

    Ok, so confession time.
First- I feel a little guilty because my "last 10" before I reach my goal have been coming off pretty regularly, and fairly easily. Everything I've read says that the last 10 are usually the hardest. So, I guess that implies that I should reevaluate my goal and lower it again? I don't know. My current goal is 10lb LESS than my high school weight, and it is within a "normal" BMI for me. Barely, but it is considered normal. I guess I will need to just keep working, and then discuss this with my doc when I go in for my physical in April.:ohwell:
Second- I just got back from Carlos O'Kelly's (a Mexican restaraunt) where we celebrated DH's birthday. I did really well all day long, but I totally BLEW it tonight! I feel like I'm about to "pray to the porceline god." I haven't eaten that much in one sitting in a VERY LONG time. I am trying to force down some water to help counteract all the sodium, but I think I may have to give up on that until tomorrow (since it isn't helping the tummy situation any!).

Good news: I have to go buy a new outfit to wear to my music contest on Wednesday! I have tried on all my dress clothes that would be appropriate, and ALL of them are too big! WooHoo! I hate to spend the $$ on a new outfit, especially since I plan to lose some more. But I HAVE to have something to wear, so I will try some secondhand stores. If I don't find anything there, then I'll go to someplace like Gordman's or Burlington Coat Factory where I can get it for fairly cheap.
