200 Sit-up challenge! Any takers?

  • I'm in. I just completed the initial test and did 50. That puts me in week 3 column 2 or 3. I think I will start with column 2 tomorrow. Oh, I am also doing crunches as the site says this:

"Please note, due to the potential risk of spinal damage involved with performing traditional sit-ups, the two hundred sit- ups program will utilize the more common crunch or curl up exercise.

Throughout this site, wherever you read the words "sit-up(s)", please think in terms of crunches or curl ups, not the out-of-favour mass taught exercise."

Thank you for clarifying that for everyone :) We don't want any injuries! So technically I guess this should be called the 200 crunch challenge. ;)

    HOWS EVERYONE'S ABS FEELING TODAY!?
  • Hope everyone plans on doing there first day of the week their ex. test results put them in today! Look forward to hearing results...doing mine in a min :) after recovering from my workout!

I just saw this thread. Hope I can still join. I know I can do between 40 - 50 crunches at a time. But will check when I get home.

Yes of course anyone can join anytime they'd like. So just do your exhaustion test, find your week and column you'll be begining on, on the 200 sit-up site. You'll only be a day behind, no biggie! Everyone starts at different weeks so chances are you won't even be behnd after the exhaustion test :) WELCOME

I ended up doing Turbo Kickboxing and Yoga yesterday. Was too exhausted after that to do my situps. I'll be doing them tonight before my 3rd C25K jog of the week. :) It's been a great week so far!!

I did the Initial test this morning - 70 crunches, so I think that puts me at Week 3 Column 3.

    After work

    27/27
    21/21
    21/21
    Max 30/30

I didn't time myself, but don't think it took me more than 10 minutes. I will do my Day 2 on Saturday, then hopefully will be caught up to everyone next week.

Wow, everyone should be so proud of themselves, awesome effort!

I have been a bit under the weather the last few days but kicked off this morning (better late than never!) with the 200 s/u's program.

    Week 3 Day 1, Level 3:

    21, 27, 21, 21, 30 = 120 total in 9 minutes

The last ten h-u-r-t but I feel so good for pushing through and got my day off to a great start :)

I also started the c25k again on Tuesday night, back at day 1, but I'll get there! Will do day 2 of c25k this afternoon when it cools down a little probably.

    Have a great weekend everyone!

Well, I slacked and will complete Day 3 today. I will also do the initial test for the squat challenge this afternoon.

I didn't report my numbers for Day 2, so here it is:
    30/30
38/38 (the last 5 were toughies!)
    23/23
    23/23
    Max/ 38 (I didn't know that I was going to get there)
This took me 10 minutes to complete.

I will report back later on Day 3, and my squat test. I hope everyone is having a good weekend!
  • i did fifty two for my first day!
