For the first time in 2 years I actually had favorable macros today: 140g protein, 43g fat, 111g carbs, and 35g fiber within 1391 calories. Thank you white chicken chili!

If I know I am going to be going out later and eating a big meal, I will not eat the whole day just so I don't pack on more calories. :(

It's comforting to know that other people eat the whole bag, box, or package of something sometimes. It's like you can't help it. You buy it with the intention of eating the serving size, but cravings take over, and it's gone.

Dang Girl Scout cookies! I almost ate an entire box in one day.

That was me this week. Then I stuffed it in my husband's face asking him to finish them for me (I had 1000 calories worth of them).

I bought 3 pints of ice cream on Saturday knowing full well that sometime this week I WILL binge on them. Hasn't happened yet at least.

+1 on posting too much on the forums and giving advice I don't always follow myself (eat everything in moderation? HAHAH one cookie and it's over, most of the time. It's science, don't worry about eating close to TDEE, you still won't gain... <-- still terrified of eating at maintenance even though I've double checked the numbers for months because I'm terrified my metabolism is actually slower than I think and I will gain weight).
  • I ate almost an entire dominos pizza on Saturday. And Sunday I had quesadillas Mac and cheese and beer. I feel really guilty and a little sick.

That's what I basically did yesterday my neighbors were making stuffed jalapenos and hot wings (My favorites, HANDS DOWN) I ate a *kitten* breakfast i really shouldn't have logged, and for lunch I rode the stationary bike vigorously just so I could eat with them last night. It was worth it lol.

Nothing to do with fitness, but I think of sex or porn. Way way too much. There now I admitted it.
    Don't we all?! lol

My other confession is that occasionally I've had extra cals after midnight and logged them for the next day.

Don't worry I've done this too! I figure as long as the days even out over the week to under my calorie goal it is all good

Today is my weigh-in day but it's also the first day of my period and the scale reads about 2lbs higher than last Monday. So I'm just going to pretend I forgot to weigh in and ignore that number. lalalalalala

I went 2500 calories over my limit yesterday due to Superbowl. I had planned to eat "bad" anyway though. I just did not realize it was THAT bad when I logged it.

At least you logged it. I quick added 2,500 calories after breakfast. And I feel like death today. I truly believe there are no bad foods...except for the dip I ate last night.

I had a pretty bad binge last Monday ate four Quest Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough bars, four servings of Chex Snickerdoodle which weren't even that good, four servings of Blue Diamond Coconut Toasted Almonds, & some other stuff I forget at the moment. I weighed & measured everything & cut most of the calories throughout the week to even some of it out. Of course from having around a 100 grams of fiber on Monday I had some bad diarrhea on Thursday.

Well last night from cutting my calories throughout the week to make up for it I then said screw it & ate some Talenti & burritos since I was hangry.

I made an enormous molten lava stuffed chocolate chip cookie covered in ice cream.............

And then went back into the kitchen to bake a pan of brownies. I don't know who's going to save me from them.

Confession, I get to a point where I just don't care about being thinner enough to bother with portion control, calorie counting, exercise...and I revert to the couch potato mode.

Ok, what to contribute to the general soul-cleansing...

My husband and I lift weights and generally work out at home, but on different days. He's really hot and I get a total kick of watching him work out. But I never let him see me work out:( . I know he finds me hot and I've always enjoyed his attention but now when I'm actually losing weight and getting fitter I am self-conscious of my body in front of him for the first time. It's just crazy - I still feel sexy naked with the light on, but in my work out clothes actually working out - no :(

Sometimes I wonder if my friends notice that I only do long and vigorous cardio sessions on weekends when my husband is home...

This makes two of us. I was 3,000kcal over ... I logged it all, then erased it all because I couldn't stand looking at it. Today I physically feel like crap. /endshame

I'm unhappy. I determined that if I'm busy, I don't notice. I started working 75+ hours a week so I'm always busy and don't have time to think about anything. I don't know where the last 6 years went. They are a blur, and I'm still unhappy.

I'm so sorry things are difficult <3

Thanks. Saying I'm unhappy is a confession because I don't feel like I have a reason to be? Things aren't that difficult, I just just feel like something's missing. I don't understand where people find joy. I decided to buy a house, and put an offer in today for a great one. I'm not excited at all about it, and I don't know why. Oh well, off to bed, gotta work another 12 hours tomorrow.

I've had chronic depression my entire life -- sometimes it's better, sometimes it's worse, but it's always there. Years and years of meds, therapy, various coping mechanisms, some more effective than others. You're depressed. You don't have to feel this way. Seek help...it's out there. You'll be so glad you did. Please.

sigh...When I found that I couldn't eat peanut butter in moderation, and had to get it out of my apartment ASAP, I not only threw it away-I drowned the jar in water first so I wouldn't be tempted...

    I can't believe I shared that.

That is genius! Totally stealing that

In response to those who don't get this, it might seem wasteful, and yah, not buying it in the first place would have been better, but is a food bank really going to take an opened jar of peanut butter? Are they going to take the rest of the pint of Ben and Jerry's I shouldn't have got? And that far too large restaurant meal I only ate part of, if I can't or don't want to take home, it's not going to help a hungry person or be less wasteful if I put a bunch of salt on it so I don't pick at it until it's cleared from the table. You could always make a real donation to a food bank!

Lose/loose no longer bugs me. I just like to visualize the fat being released, loose the Kraken style.

I picture a yellow bird on a string getting loose and flying away in the sunshine. The yellow bird of fatness?

I like that one! Mine is Ms Pacman chomping through belly and hip fat. Chomp chomp!

I give my dog a special puppy Oreo cookie every time she does does her business. They are pretty good too. When she comes in, I eat half the cookie and give her the other half. I never log those calories!

Not judging you at all, but if you are looking for alternatives, you can share a restaurant meal or have it wrapped and drop it off at the metro entrance where the homeless tend to gather, ditto for peanut butter etc. You don't have to, just throwing ideas out there for those who might like them. You can even smear the peanut butter on cones and hang out for birds :)

I grew up being taught not to leave food on my plate because children in Africa, which is not a good habit to teach I guess considering how overweight I got, so I am all for you doing what works for you not to binge. But food shortage is a real issue for many people and when you get past the salting phase and if you ever want to try alternatives, they're there...

    1. I secretly fear gaining weight and losing weight. I've been fat my whole life and I think I'll change personality wise if I lose it. I fear gaining weight because who wants to know that they're getting fatter.

    2. My sex life is crap because of my weight. I just feel bad about it.

    3. I hate working out around other people.

    4. One day a few weeks ago all I had was a carton of chocolate Oreo ice cream. That was it. For the whole day.

This happens to me every 3-4 months and can last 2-4 weeks. After that I snap out of it, figure out the damage that I've done (usually 3-8 pounds worth) and then get my life back in order.

Biological imperative. Men go to sleep, women get the munchies.

I just pulled that out of either my musty memory tome from something I read ages ago or I pulled it out of a less polite location.
