Ahh I think I explained that badly, what I meant was because "Arkansas" is spelt the same way as 'Kansas' but with an Ar, I always thought it should be pronounced 'Arr-Kansas'. Whereas it's actually 'Ar-ken-saw', does that make sense?

Yes, so we agree they're pronouncing it wrong.

I love salty too. Can't keep chips in the house. Or dry roasted peanuts.

Last night I was craving cookies which I honestly never do. But I've figured out by the pain by my hip that it's ovulation day. That probably explains the extra weight.

Weird though, I very seldom get hormonal cravings. I blame this thread!! ;)

I have also been craving cookies, check out my diary, and it is because of hormones too.

Confession: I started my period today and I could NOT be happier because that means unless I have some freakishly long cycle, I will be period free for my vacation. I may have thanked God out loud while going to the bathroom. TMI I know, but I just had to share. Also, that could explain some of the weight gain I've experienced recently even though I'm still in a deficit.

    Wonder Woman :)

    That's good, but WHAT THE?!?!?
I see Wonder Woman, also, @quiksylver296. Also, I'm a bit dyslexic (which another reason I have a hard time remembering full screen names) and I always call you "Quickysilver" in my head. That "y" seems to trip me up every time!

Confession: I have to go buy my husband a Father's Day card and gift after work and we're not even on speaking terms right now. This should be fun.

OMG! So, if you Google "shark eating chocolate powder while wearing a trash bag" several of the profile pics from this thread show up! @riderfangal, @Tubbs216, @m1xm0d3, @kelly_c_77

    Hahahaha nice1.

Confession...when I know I've over eaten, I'll log the food item into the app as a lower calorie content than it actually is. I find that by doing this, it mentally keeps me happy as I haven't "gone over my daily intake." I believe this is what is keeping me from losing weight! Does anyone else do this? For example, for a piece of brown bread that is 100 cal, I will search it on the app under a different brand until I find one lower cal!

Way to go! That's awesome and I'm sure your clothes and circulation are thanking you.

Hahaha thanks and yes they are. I've essentially unlocked a section of my wardrobe that hasn't been worn in years. Hell, some still have the tags on them cuz they were too small to wear on day one. I'm trying them on tonight. I hope they all fit!

Woohoo! That's awesome! Do you ride to work all summer?

Yes I do. Starting in late March (or whenever days are above 45 degrees @ 7am---below that is just too darn cold) until late October or November (again, the early morning temp is how I decide). The heat doesn't bother me though. When it's close to 100 degrees I just remember to take it easier than normal and stay hydrated. It's all what you become conditioned to. :)

Today's lunch theme is cookies. Cookies and Cream protein shake (because I didn't drink it for breakfast) and my 3 Chips Ahoy chocolate chip cookies. I do not regret this lunch decision. At least not yet.

I'm not big on hard cookies but plain chips ahoy dipped in milk is the bestest ever.

I have the Galaxy S6 and can't see the images either. Almost caught up! I've been behind for days! Glad it's Friday since the thread ramps up Friday and then slows down on the weekend. I also have to catch myself before quoting one of you to friends IRL. Although, my husband knows about the thread and how involved I am. When we first started I would explain what thread I was talking about...even though it's the only one I've ever followed. Now I just say "The Thread", he laughs and I update him.

Also, wanted to say kudos to everyone that defended the thread a couple nights ago. Everyone handled it so well, and explained instead of getting angry. There is one poster that jumped on, 20+K posts, and I got a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach because I was so afraid that things were going to turn nasty. Was very glad that it didn't get nasty, and I didn't chime in because I knew I was way behind. Although if this thing does implode then, as @Tubbs216 put it, to the bat cave!!!
Something happened to the thread a few nights ago? Dang, I always miss things like that.

Yeah, my phone is an LG G3. I checked just now. I have trouble seeing gifs and avatars, other static images seem to be okay.

My dad and stepmom were members of a church who handed these out when I was a teenager, and they got so mad at me when I laughed at them. My dad is a smart guy, and I cornered him and asked him if he *really* believed the nonsense in those books. He admitted that he didn't. He was still mad at me though.
Same thing happened to me in high school! Some guy thought the little comic constituted a convincing argument.

To help get us to page 1000, I will post some pictures of the tops I got last weekend.

This one is from Old Navy and I ADORE it. I've used that word a lot lately.

This one is from Maurices. My husband REALLY likes it, I just think it's okay.

God, I just started going back to Old Navy after a few years of ignoring it and I've forgotten how much I love it!

It's a big room with games, toys, coloring pages, a TV, even an old game console. They don't get bored. The ladies that work there often play games with them too.
Ugg, I wish there was a gym near me like that. Kids were all over the machines and weight room at the last gym I tried. I remember seeing one girl mess around with the assisted pull up machine. I thought she was going to end up crushing her hand under the weights.

I would never take my child to the gym. It's the reason I don't go I have no one to watch him but I am not taking him with me

OMG, I hate bugs. Yes, I realize this is strange what with keeping bees on the property and all. But the bees are cool; it's the other ones that find me tasty. That insect sting/bite/whatever that sent me to immediate care a couple of days ago continues to be an issue. It's covering my whole knee and is super inflamed and painful. I guess I'll have to fill the scrip after all. Hate bugs AND having to take antibiotics.
I missed this first time around - eek! Will an antihistamine help at all? I'm pretty allergic to mosquito bites and if I take a Benadryl or something it helps with the itching. Although if you have a lot of pain, maybe it is infected...
    Hope it gets better soon!

Yeah some of them are crazy. That one I more expensive but I really love it. I used to go to the YMCA but the kids HATED the kid area... it was a shoebox, seriously, my closet is bigger...

Plus really... solitaire on the treadmill FTW. I won 3 in a row today!

Confession - I had an early dinner again. Looked at my macros and calories and figured out what would be the most filling. Ended up having a huge omelette. But it's like it went right through me and I was still hungry after. Does that happen to anyone else? I made myself some tea though and now it's better (peppermint. Anything else makes me hungrier for some reason).

I confess that sometimes the idea that I'm going to have to deal with that all my life is extremely daunting. I hope my appetite decreases as I get older... or something.

Susie - Another couple of questions for you!
The community centre where I live is used as a place for Friday prayers. Does it temporarily become a 'mosque' for that period, or it still just a community centre used for prayers? It's usually pretty well attended, but as I was driving past today I noticed a lot more cars than usual - is that because it's Ramadan? Are there different prayers or anything during this time? I'm thinking how a lot of Christians attend church at Christmas and Easter but not much throughout the rest of the year - is it similar? Also, I see a few women but not many. Do the women pray separately?
Thanks! (No apology this time! :) )

I live in a small center and I don't think the gyms even provide a kids area. Booo and yes I am judging those gyms lol

Thankfully, most of the parents that brought their kids stayed out of the weight room, leaving the kids bored out of their mind but safer.

Eggs that aren't hard boiled end up leaving me hungry sooner than something full of fat and protein should.

Welcome! Yeah, I've done that too. Not judging, but it won't help in the long run.

It looks like you don't have very much weight to lose, so not logging accurately is really going to slow you down. Can you maybe raise your calorie allowance, so you can mentally feel ok about keeping under your calories, whilst at the same time being honest about your intake?

Welcome!
