I noticed it, but had absolutely no idea--I haven't eaten a waffle cone in YEARS. I totally want a waffle cone now. A chocolate dipped one.
I bought my nieces & nephews waffle bowls to eat their ice cream out of it & none of them liked the waffle bowl. I am still shocked my younger niece liked the Triscuit Coconut Sea Salt crackers since I thought they smelled like suntan lotion.

I bike to work every day...today is "Bike to Work Day" in Denver.
I confess that I call it "Amateur Hour" because all these people clumsily trying to load their bikes on the light rail, rubbing their tires on my pants, riding without helmets, running red lights, riding down the middle of the street & just generally being clueless bicyclists is making me VERY STABBY THIS MORNING0 -
xLoveLikeWinterx wrote: »I don't like that this was on page 4 and told me there were no new updates I had a hard time finding it.
So my confession- I hopped on the scale this morning, was SUPER excited when I saw my weight because I thought it put my BMI in the normal range (25). Turns out < 25 is "normal" *sigh* That was a pretty big letdown. Hopefully it means in a couple days I can claim it, though. SO close! But I did hit a new low and I haven't been this weight in about 3 years, so that was cool.
I wanted to celebrate normal BMI with a new pair sunglasses and I'm bummed I saw the exact pair I want on 6pm.com but they're $36 and I'm cheap. So I'll just wait.

I confess I woke up on the wrong side of this bed this morning and I am CRANKY! Someone should send me to bed for a nap and a reset...
ETA: Did I spell cranky wrong? Neither spelling looks right...0 -

Great news for me. I am working on getting my physical endurance up a bit for a mud run in October.
Either of you tried the Zombies, run! app? I've heard good reviews about that one.
That may be one I need to look into since The Walking Dead is my favorite show. Gotta train for the apocolypse!!
I just tried it last week (based on someone's recc in this thread.) It's pretty cool! Like running in a video game.
I'm kinda OCD about my run/walk ratios (I run 2 mi, walk 1/4 mi, run 2 mi, walk 1/4 mi, etc.) so I haven't turned on the "Zombie Chase" function that makes you speed up when you're under attack...I might try it tonight on my run though.

I wonder why this thread is so hard to find suddenly!!
I am leaving for work now and hoping today is a good day!
Yesterday sucked!
I got lost running an errand for my son (he got his grad hoodie for next year Monday and his name was spelled wrong, so had to find the uniform shop and get it fixed).....then we realized his bike was stolen, he just recently bought it and it is his transportation to and from work, so he had to walk yesterday, and today. Then I missed my gym time because as I was heading there, the office staff at my building called me and told me another bike had been stolen and asked me to see if I could come and view the video....that took a while and we saw nothing actually.
I feel bad for my son
Work is stressful right now too, kind of a long story, but we had a new girl that only worked about two months and now is off sick for an 'undetermented' amount of time, so they are replacing her and her husband came in Monday while I was there and freaked out on my boss....I do not generally work on Tuesdays but my boss text me and said this is becoming a bit of a nightmare. I have known her husband for years and now things are awkward, and I got her the job for him......my boss is cool, she knows I could not have known, but the whole situation is just sucky and stressful.
Plus I am still not really speaking to my SO still, we are on week two.....so that just adds to the stress.
I am not going to let it ruin tonight though! Tonight is the only night in a long while that I will be home alone. My daughter is out of town visiting a friend and my son is working. My daughter keeps getting straight day shifts, which is strange for a 19 year old working at tourist attractions that are open all night...and she is a new hire....over all it is great because she can rely on the bus which is obviously much cheaper than cabs etc, but it is seriously cutting into my alone time that over the last year I have gotten very used to! A year ago I never had alone time, but now I love it, lol.
So, tonight, I am going to indulge in a chicken bacon alfredo pizza from domino's and watch Big Brother! I figure I have about five hours of alone time after work before my son gets home....so I am gonna get everything done I need to do right away and then sit on the sofa and just bask in my aloneness lol.
Today is my day off logging so I am not worried about such things tonight, I am gonna eat super light during the day, just a light lunch and already did not eat much breakfast, but tonight I will eat pizza and my favorite Haagan Dazs chocolate peanut butter ice cream.....I am not even gonna have my phone on!
P.S. BB people, I am gonna go start the thread now, so don't forget to check there later!!
Have a great day everyone!0 -

Sorry, I did notice but I totally forgot to reply. It's been busy at work so I'm trying to catch up as I go. I'm only able to read anything right now because I'm still stuck at the front desk due to my injury but it gets busy up here.
Usually when I'm not sure about calories I will either search online for something similar and use that or I will find something that is most likely more than what the actual calorie count for it would be so I give myself a cushion for the calories since I'm unsure.
What did you end up logging it as?0 -
It seems our thread has locked into place again, like it did before? :-/ Luckily, I have it bookmarked, so it doesn't affect my ability to access the thread or see how many new posts there are, but newbies won't be able to find us anymore if we keep going down.0

I'm so sorry to hear about the bike, that really sucks
Have a great evening @Italian_Buju ! You deserve every minute of it!

I confess I was actually going to post TODAY that my confession is that I think I run off all the men in this thread. Example:
-- I asked @tincanonastring if he worked at my company, he asked me if I was stalking him (I deduced where he came from by his posts) and within a week he was gone.
-- I started engaging with @AgentOrangeJuice on messaging (he expressed sympathy about Oberon, I asked him about his new job, etc.) he disappeared.
-- @flatasapancake posted a new chest picture, I said impressive! You are slowly working your way around your body, is your *kitten* next and he never came back.
I have checked on all of them...they are all still posting (not much from @AgentOrangeJuice though so he may truly be busy).
Like in real life, I scare all the men away. Sigh.
No, do not blame yourself! It's kind of funny, when you type it out like that, but I highly doubt it has anything to do with you!
Perhaps not but I am not a big believer in coincidence. But luckily mixmode has promised to stick around and I haven't scared off xMrBunglex yet....
Nah, it wasn't you. I had to take a forum hiatus to attend to IRL stuff and by the time I came back, it was 1000 comments later and I just never picked back up in this thread. Those other guys, though...that was you!
Confession: I promised to catch up on all the missed posts in this thread and I am fully committed to breaking that promise. No regrets...y'all post too much!
I will be highly impressed if you can do that! That's some dedication!0 -

No one probably remembers but I have talked about that guy who is on the phone at work all the time and everyone loves him even though he barely works...he just let me know he won some award so he is getting a plaque/prize at 10 today.
I'm like seriously...
This just happened to me. The conference I am at they did recognition awards. The guy in my group that won got recognized for 2 projects I led. One was done before he came on board. The other he came in on the tail end and had zero to do with. I totally led them. This is like the 4th time over the years this has happened to me. No one in an operations driven organization ever appreciates marketing communications. But I PROJECT LED these. This guy is connected.
I confess as soon as the awards were over I grabbed my stuff, went to hotel, and am now drowning my sorrows by reading this thread. I am feeling very sad.
(HUGS). I'm right there with you. I wasn't a happy person at work yesterday. I'm sure my face showed my emotions when he told me he was getting the achievement award. This guy is really nice but he just has a really bad work ethic. I used to do the same job as him plus a lot more. He can't even keep up with half the job and always needs help from others to finish. The only reason he got it is because (as you said above) he is connected and makes friends very easily.
In a way it makes me feel bad like I will never be recognized unless I make friends at work (to me work is work and not a place to make friends, if I happen to make friends at work it is a bonus but that's not why I come in each day). It just seems like hard work means nothing.
Like I said, at least I know I work hard (most the time-once I'm away from the desk again). I hope that you can feel the same. But I know it's hard.0 -

I am frightened at how much I will have to catch up on when I get back.
Friends, message me if something is happening so I can check in. Or if you need a friendly chat. Or just need some sympathy. Or a kick in the butt!
Thanks Patricia!! (You really don't go by any nicknames?)
Nope. Only Patty to family and people who knew me from WI (which is very few people at this stage). The trainer at the barn started calling me POF for short a long time ago and I am ok with that as it has no connotations. So feel free to call me that. Please anyone else with this name forgive me but:
patty = child
Pat = short, ugly, gender less
Trish = Trish the dish (trashy big chested girl from the show one day at a time)
Patsy = too cutesy
So Patricia it is. I really don't like the name but this is the closest I can tolerate. People in real life get offended when I insist they call me that which I find amazing. I know it's 3 syllables but tough. It's my name.
But from now on at the barn and here, I am POF.
So in my head I call you 'poof' - making a word out of your initials a la NASA. Is that correct or is it P O F, like FBI?
That was my question, too. I'm behind, so it may have already been answered.

Maybe it'll mean the creep with the unfunny and inappropriate posts will stop too, though. Barf. So....silver lining?
Another topic: I should confess that I love musicals. I grew up doing theatre stuff and was even doing quite a lot of paid singing gigs until I took a year off last year, so I drag the husband to lots of stage shows these days. Movies, though...the big movie musicals are generally very disappointing because the singers are not really theatre-quality, by and large. I made it fifteen minutes into Les Miserables before shutting it off and Chicago sent me into a rage. On the other hand, Anna Kendrick did a low-budget film version of The Last 5 Years that I just saw and sobbed all the way through, though, so there are some bright spots in the movie musical world still.
Last night my best friend came up from her new city (3 hrs away) and we went and pigged out on pasta. I seriously do not seem to be able to bring myself to buckle down and lose the weight I gained to fit into my wedding dress (and since)...all of my trousers are tight and I just can't even seem to care for some reason. Husband likes me better at this weight too, which doesn't help. But I'm looking a feeling pretty sausage-y so I should probably cool it with the pigging out at some point soon...

Sorry life is so hectic lately! Glad you get some alone time tonight! Yay for BB!0 -
All the way back on page five now. Are they trying to tell us something? Should we head for the Bat Cave?0

New confession. Yup, I did just fall asleep at my desk for 15mins. I think this thread is an obsession because the first thing I thought of when I woke up was to tell you guys about it.
I don't know if I should be concerned about this or not...0 -
It has something to do with the number of flagged posts in here possibly which is why it's not moving.
I flagged myself and as an other and asked for a reset - hopefully that will work.0 -
