Beat off at work bathroom to thoughts of new reception girl

I think it's funny that you say this, but on your page your inspirations are

    > Intimidating the boys coming around for my daughters
    > To be the best example to my son that I can be

that new reception girl is someones daughter too y'know, and I'm not sure that is a good example of being a man now is it?

I confess: I am judging you for judging that post...BUT his friends list consists almost entirely of attractive females with their make-up covered faces and body parts exposed....I smell a misogynist.

I normally skip past those posts, but that made me a little sick in my mouth and had to see what kind of creep we are dealing with. Turns out to be a hypocritical one. So I felt a little urge to publicly shame him. Judge all you want, if I found out a man did that at my place of work or that new receptionist was my {hypothetical} daughter, he would be one testicle missing.

Edited because men are men, whatever, but don't make it public, I don't want that visual thanks

Edit again because: Why are you judging me for judging that? (out of curiosity, not picking a fight), it's disgusting and offensive.

Because it's supposed to be a 'NO JUDGEMENT' thread. /irony

The fact is, I totally agree with you and you were right to call him on his bullsmurf. Imagine if the woman herself found out about his 'fantasizing'. Life is NOT a porno, she would likely be horribly offended and never want to work near you again, dude.
It also definitely had the air of a confession that was merely posted to try and stir stuff up.
Men ARE men but, in my opinion, grown men don't 'beat off' to the new receptionist while at work. They should wait until they get home for that kind of thing. Do WORK at work. Or...post on a forum about the crappy way you've been eating lately and how you have skipped workouts and how you are posting things at work when you really should be working(I am guilty of all these things).

Also, I noted in my post that he was likely a misogynistic hypocrite based on his friends list, which, I confess, was also me judging him.

TL;DR: I wasn't ACTUALLY judging you. I was agreeing with you and then confessing my own judgement of 'Yeah, this dude is a misogynistic hypocrite who should keep his self love schedule to himself'.

ETA: Some things just come across poorly in textual format. Or maybe I am slightly terrible at expressing myself in the way I actually intend... :disappointed:

I also think he's the same man who had the sleeping girlfriend.

Was he the same one?! That guy has issues.

The only two Irish Setters I ever knew were both beautiful but completely insane and uncontrollable. Is that a breed trait or were the two owners (quite normal, sensible people) just unlucky?
My mom had one when I was little and she was insane. Total bird dog that lost her mind any time she saw anything small.

@pofoster21 I'm so sorry you got screwed over. It happens in my organization too. I'm in IT, doing analyst/project management work, and EVERY time a Developer or Senior Proj Mgr gets credit for things that I've done. I'm quiet and stay under the radar so I don't have the connections like others :(

@nonoelmo your trip sounds awesome!!! And I'm intrigued by your cycling. My legs are so short that biking is ridiculously painful for me (I have like a 27-28 inch inseam).

Confession - it's not even 9am on the second day of Summer break and I already want to lock my kids in their rooms.

Any summer programs you can put them in like vacation bible school or any programs at the YMCA or other local rec centers? Also, check with your county for summer programs. Some are very cheap or free. For sanity's sake, it's worth a shot. lol

My mom had my brother and I signed up for everything our local parks and recreation offered one summer, tennis, diving, swimming, and so on... It is pretty funny now that I look back on it. Two week sessions of each sport. There were also day trips (I think through the same program) that took us out for a day somewhere, a park for example. We'd hike, play active games such as capture the flag, have a picnic of our brown bag lunches, and be returned at the end of the day.

My 3.5 yr old is very high energy and goes crazy without lots of sports, so I'm in the middle of planning out his next year (since everything here starts at 3-4). He's doing learn to ice skate (the start of playing hockey, which DH does and insists our oldest is doing it too) on Saturday mornings until Sept, then in Fall Sun mornings soccer/Mon nights more skating, then Winter skating, and Spring skating and either TBall or Soccer.

His daycare is doing a summer camp with him right now so he's on lots of field trips. I have to keep him busy or no one is happy lol

I got a haircut. I was getting too hot and wanted to get shorter hair for this Summer.

And I don't like it at all. I guess it will grow back :(

Oh no! Is it too short? What happened?

It just doesn't look good on me. I don't like ponytails either so at some point the long hair has to go I guess. The main issue I think is that I think it makes my double chin (there's some loose skin in there) more noticeable.

    Just bleh.

Sometimes seriously it's totally depressing to have done all that work and realize that I'll never like the way I look...

:( Sorry you are feeling that way. I feel the same way as well. I'm always thinking, even if/when I lose the weight again I still have so many other issues that I don't like (I will have loose skin, my teeth are crooked, I will always have huge legs etc).

I do have to say that I think you look pretty from what I can see in the profile picture. You actually look a lot like someone I work with. :) We are always hardest on ourselves of course. I wonder if anyone else even notices your chin.

Hopefully the hair will grow out a little bit and you will like it better.

I counted out 15 potato chips and threw the rest in the garbage. I got them out the garbage to eat more. I am so ashamed.
I guess you can try portioning out all of the chips at once and separating them into little baggies. I do this with cookies because two cookies will usually weigh more than what it says on the serving label.

Don't beat yourself up about it.

@LBuehrle8 Because it is delicious.

I like to do this as well. :) Especially stuff like trail mix or peanuts that have pretty small serving sizes. I know if I don't measure it out, I'll eat too much.

I'M FINALLY CAUGHT UP!!!! *falls over* <3

Thought of you today at Giant when I found the Limone Sorbet. I almost bought it, but then I decided to get the Yueling's Buttered Caramel Popcorn. I definitely will be getting that sometime though since I seen it was only 80 calories per half serving which means I will probably eat two or three.

    ooooooh yum!

my giant had the lemoncello chiffon ice cream ONCE, and have been out of stock ever since. i call them every few days...i'm sure they loooove me. lol

i'm honestly not that big of an ice cream fan. unless i get the "churn style" the richness of most ice cream makes me sick so i can only ever have a tiny amount at a time. but the lemoncello chiffon is SO FREAKIN GOOD.

Ooh is the Lemoncello more ice cream or gelato? I bet I would like that one more.

confession: i've never had gelato, so i have no idea.
one characteristic i do love about it though is that it's not rock hard like b&j's. the lemon ice cream is soft and fluffy :)

No way I'm catching up today.

Had a bad night thanks to my dear cat who decided to meow loudly at 3am... again. Couldn't go back to sleep for over 2 hours. Woke up totally out of it and hungry and ate two Belgian waffles with some hazelnut butter... 700 calories later...

Sadly I had planned to go out with the kids today and unfortunately told them, so we have to go. Really don't want to drive for 1.5 hour when I'm so tired. And I have no idea how I'm going to make lunch fit in my calories... will have to try and find something lowish calories at the mall (there's always Subway salads I guess. Groan).

But hey at least it's beautiful out today after yesterday's storm.

I have returned from my mini vacation and stayed up way too late trying to catch up. I think I'm caught up. I know I've missed some posts that I would have responded to had I known the right words to say. I'm thinking good thoughts for a lot of people here.

My SO is a foodie. I practice moderation around him but I'll check in the morning and the next morning to see if I gained weight (water or otherwise) on this trip. There was a lot of food, cider, and wine that was consumed.

    Thumbnail sketch.
Friday night and Saturday we were in Madison. SO did the Horribly Hilly Hundreds (100K) bike ride and I walked around Madison. Cute town. I enjoyed the farmers market, was caught by surprise by the naked bicyclists, and saw a whole lot of the campus.

Side note: I'm a long time cyclist (30+ years since I got into it) but he and I have different definitions. I have bike commuted for years. Now it is completely impractical as I drop my kids off on opposite sides of town, but given the chance I'd bike commute again. I also have done some week long bike trips. He goes out with groups and while he'll bike with me on weekends, other than that he is into high performance all the time. He enjoys it and I enjoy what I do, but we don't often do the same thing. I have reminded him that commuter cyclist are important too as sometimes he forgets that. His bike is nice and new and high performance. Mine is a 1987 steel frame classic Bridgestone (oh yeah!) We both appreciate each others bike.

Saturday night - Monday night we were in Chicago. We ate good food (as we did in Madison), went to the horse races (I'd never been before), went to the Chicago Institute of Art (because it is amazing), and went to see the Cubs win over the Dodgers. (SO is a Cubs fan and I've lived in Los Angeles and met Tommy Lasorda ages ago). I rooted for the Cubs but I have many pleasant associations with the Dodgers.

TSA today was super great! really! From the time I walked into the airport until I was through security was very likely less than five minutes and I didn't go straight to the security line. I was greeted by all five TSA agents I walked past. I was sent to the precheck line (even though I don't have precheck). My shoes did set off alarms so I did have to take them off after all, but other than that - sooo easy. Now my best and worst security experience has been at Chicago O'Hare! (Five years apart).

I must get sleep. Have a great night/day. Edit because my grammar is worse than usual tonight.

This sounds amazing. I love Madison. I went to school there. I also love Chicago. The institute of art is incredible. Did you do the museum of science and industry too? That is great. My school went every year for a road trip when I lived in Cedarburg WI.

We went to the science and industry museum the day after Christmas. Great place!

@Just_Ceci I want to thank you for suggesting the trial contacts. I am on my second round and I think they may work. The doctor ordered 2 more trials but I won't get those until after I get back from vacation. Also, I can't believe how thick the Toric lenses are. I was pretty proud of myself for being able to put them in and take them out without issue after no having had contacts for more than 5 years.

I used to wear Toric lenses (I probably still should but I've been getting the regular disposables with the eye doctor's approval).

I was ALWAYS ripping the toric ones on accident when I took them out when I was younger. I'm surprised I'm not blind because as a teen I would just wear them with the holes in them since back then they were really expensive and I didn't want to tell my parents that I ripped them.

I'm glad that you are able to wear contacts still. :)

This is the bike I have and I had it fit to me. I bought it in 2006 but I had wanted it but not splurged on it in high school. I have a pink one that is the size/shape of the blue one - designed for petite women. My inseam is even slightly shorter than yours and biking has not been a painful experience. Have you had a really good (as in know their stuff) bike shop help you choose a bike and fit it to you? I spent $120 on the bike on Craigslist because I knew exactly what it was and then I took it to a bike shop that I knew and they spent time getting it just right for me. That involved changing out the stem and handlebar for one that fit me better. I also had them change out the pedals for clip-ins and bought (whoo hoo) size 4 or 5 kids cycling shoes. I am due for a new pair of shoes in the near future. I used this bike as a daily commuter in grad school and have done a number of weekend rides with SO or alone or with my kids.

I'm up about 1 - 1.4 pounds after the trip -- but I am going to give it another day to see how much was just too much salt (a lot of things I ate were salty and I don't usually have salty foods.)

Started the C25k app today because I like having someone tell me when to run and when to walk :)

I am ready to start that myself. I was hoping that would tell me what to do!!

I really like it because I'll be going along listening to my music and it'll beep and say start walking then beep start running and I don't have to look at my watch or anything it's great!

Great news for me. I am working on getting my physical endurance up a bit for a mud run in October.

Either of you tried the Zombies, run! app? I've heard good reviews about that one.

That may be one I need to look into since The Walking Dead is my favorite show. Gotta train for the apocolypse!!

I just tried it last week (based on someone's recc in this thread.) It's pretty cool! Like running in a video game.

I'm kinda OCD about my run/walk ratios (I run 2 mi, walk 1/4 mi, run 2 mi, walk 1/4 mi, etc.) so I haven't turned on the "Zombie Chase" function that makes you speed up when you're under attack...I might try it tonight on my run though.

yesterday afternoon i had plans to take my mom to see jurassic world. yesterday we also had a massive storm that dumped tons of rain. it was still slightly raining when i left the house to meet her at the theater. of course i'm perpetually late for everything and was probably driving a smidge too fast for the road conditions.

then i started to fishtail on the four lane highway, and i completely can't pull out of it, totally lose control, the car does a full 360 spin across the two lanes of oncoming traffic and i bounce off of the opposing guardrail.

by some tiny miracle, no one was coming when i crossed lanes. if anyone had been, i probably would have killed them and myself. so i'm on the wrong side of the road facing the wrong direction. see no one coming at me head on, and drive back over to the right side of the road to a stoplight. this dude pulls up in the lane next to me and is like ARE YOU OK?!?!! i'm all shaky and say yeah, i think so. light turns green and i drive on to the theater like everything is fine.

i meet up with my mom and i'm like, i think i might have just almost died, and explain the whole thing to her and she's like... well maybe you should slow the hell down. and i say no, this was REALLY scary, and she's just like yeah, i've done it before too. slow down.

    thanks mom!

confession: my mother's total lack of empathy and concern really ticks me off sometimes....

I confess I might be a lot like your mom.

THANK YOU! Not to be mean to @KylerJaye at ALL, but I seriously lack empathy. My youngest son is a drama queen, so if you ask him I'm the worst person EVER. He over-dramatizes everything and I'm more of the "suck it up, buttercup!" kind of mom. His dad would take him to the ER when he was little over a bloody nose and I, on the other hand, when he called me in the middle of the night after totaling his truck told him to just drive home. :( In my defense, I'm completely out of it if I'm woken up abruptly and incoherent. Of course, I woke up more and realized what happened and went and got him, but yeah, that's what he's had to deal with. Sorry, child!

My husband has serious back issues at times, but is also a wimp when it comes to pain. One time he needed me to help him out of bed and called me into the bedroom FOUR separate times saying he was going to get up, but then couldn't do it. Finally, I told him, "It's like ripping off a Band-Aid - just get up already!" Epic lack of empathy.

OMG, me too. My husband is a worst case scenario expert so every sniffle most certainly means ebola. He was pretty sure my insect bite was Rocky Mountain Spotted fever, too. :p It's exhausting. I just roll my eyes as discreetly as I can and tell him to go to the doctor.

I think all men are babies when they are sick...such drama queens...(sorry men of the thread)
So, about a hundred years ago I may have mentioned that I wanted my husband to get a vasectomy. Well, it's happening and Monday's the day! I'm sure I'll be running around all day making him lots of tea and getting him fresh bags of frozen peas. I confess I'm rolling my eyes a bit though, since the latest surgery is needle-free and scalpel-free, and the doctor also prescribed him some valium as he mentioned that he's really squeamish and medical-phobic.
I thought we were going in for a consultation and actually saw my ex's vasectomy procedure. It was really not a big deal. He and the doctor talked about golf the whole 2 - 5 minutes of the procedure. There was no blood, easy recovery. I hope your husband's experience is as simple and easy and minimally painful. Good luck.
Thank you! I figured it would be pretty quick and not too difficult, but my husband is seriously squeamish to the point of passing out with anything to do with needles, and I am sympathetic. In his head he knows it's not really a big deal, but he can't help his fears. The valium should help a lot.

Thank you to everyone who responded so kindly. I was really scared to check back after posting that. I was literally trembling and shaky after posting it and when I came back to see the new posts.

@Lois_1989 Yup, pretty much. PG rating scale, you could say. It is a no-no to swear in Islam, but my personal phobia has nothing to do with that and everything to do with my home life growing up, unfortunately. I can't even read most books because of it, even though I love to read. I end up reading a lot more of Enid Blyton than you might expect from someone my age. :-/
@Francl27 I confess that I deleted you a while back for that exact reason, so I'm really glad you aren't offended.
@Glinda1971 For some reason you struck me that way, and I wasn't particularly anxious when accepting your friend request--I'm not sure why.

I confess... I feel a lot better now.
    Glad you're feeling better.
Just letting you know that you can hide friends from your newsfeed, if you don't want to see their updates - no need to delete, unless you have a real need to.

I know that I can. :) But hiding people from my newsfeed does pretty much defeat the purpose of having them on my list--I like to follow along with everyone when they're struggling/need someone to talk to/want to celebrate a victory, etc. So hiding them from my newsfeed would probably just make them wonder why I never respond to anything that they post, while I seem to be very responsive to others that are both on our lists. :)

I must confess I am now wondering if I swear like a trucker lol Sorry Suzie if I do! =D
