I just had to renew my license in Maine and the lady said is everything the same on here, and I was quick to tell her my new current weight which was quite less than the fake weight that was on my old one. Yea. Also, you can keep your old one and my face is much slimmer.
My weight loss has stopped the last month or so, but I know I haven't been eating as well as I should be. I need to get back on eating better and try to get 15-20 lbs off and keep them off. So glad to get inspired by everyone's posts. Even the little things can help someone else in their journey.

TX here. And no weight listed. But I did live in Louisiana and they put it on there.
Washington State has your weight on your Driver's License. I was SO glad when I moved to TX and didn't have to lie anymore.
When I got my license in Washington, I was 180 pounds but I told them I was 164 because that was my goal weight, though I was in NO way working towards it. Moved to Texas and there was no weight on that stupid card and I was SO grateful because I was 246 pounds 6 months after I moved. Now I'm 175 and would happily put that on a License or I.D. card! Only 20 pounds until goal.2 -

What a journey you have been on. The big difference for me this time is that I am not dieting. Someone asked how I "lost all that weight," and I replied that I had discovered what was making me fat, and eliminated it from my diet. I saw a couple of posts about maintenance here, too.
Seems as if the older I get, the easier it is to gain. So, therefore: no rest for the weary! I continue to weigh, and if my weight changes, it's right back to tracking every single bite.
I had remarked to the inquiring person that I limit my bread servings to about one per week. She asked how long I was going to do this, which made me laugh. I said, "why, for the rest of my life!!"
If you can find what works for you (and you have, obviously) then you can make it work for you for the rest of your life.
I treat the things that I shouldn't eat as if they are tobacco. "Sugar is my new tobacco," or "I'd rather be fabulous than eat potatoes," these are some of my mottos to keep me inspired.

I've been hearing from a particular person that I need to stop now. That I'm going to disappear. That I don't have to prove anything to anyone anymore so just stop. When I started I was 189.4 & 34.6 BMI. Today I am 151.0 and 27.6 BMI. To get to the high end of the healthy weight/BMI range, I need to weigh 136.4 which will put me at 24.9 BMI. My goal was 125 & 22.9 BMI.
I didn't know how many people would invest themselves in my weight loss, without my knowledge or consent btw, and would feel perfectly ok giving me medical advice that 1) they aren't qualified to give, and 2) don't follow themselves! I also didn't know how hard it was going to be keeping my mouth shut and just saying "Thank you, I appreciate your concern, but my doctor is happy with my progress."6 -
I love this thread it has made me aware of things I was in denial about: the knees, rings, seeing yourself and not realizing its you, realizing none of your clothes fit and your work "friends" have let you walk around for weeks like a little girl playing dress up in her mother's clothes, not knowing your clothing size or your eye/mind not seeing the change so you buy the wrong size, the cost of alterations, the amazement when you realize you have gone from a really tight size 20W to size 10 and wondering when that happened.... But most of all being thankful to find you under all the weight7

I had this issue. I didn't want to wear wear those covers so I got a correctly sized, stackable, anniversary band that I wear in front of my engagement and wedding rings. That way I can resize them when I am ready and feel good about it.3 -

Im English and I dont have my weight on mine either. Date of birth, picture, address, but not weight.

I just put hot glue on the inside of my band. It took me a few tries to get it right. You can't see it & I can't feel it. I'm curious how long it will last before it peels out but I figured it was worth a try. I hate those ring snuggie/noodle things.

That losing weight and being thinner won't make you instantly happier.
That losing weight makes you a LOT colder in the winter!

How fast food commercials have no power over me any more. I used to see a commercial touting the newest version of a burger and want one.
Now when I see one, I'm usually kind of disgusted thinking of all the crap in that "value meal.
That being said, I'm thankful that In n Out doesn't advertise.8 -
When we have to do fast food (yeah, sometimes we do because we're on the road), I insist on Taco Bell. Relatively simple ingredients, lower calories, and yummy taste (Dorito Loco Nacho Taco for me) and fairly low cost. Not great but not as bad as some. I definitely stay away from Burger King. I once looked at their nutrition information back during my first diet. They were horrendously high in calories, higher than McDonald's by a LOT. Never ate another Whopper Jr, etc, from there again.2

Both are so true! The first comment is definitely harder to fix! I had to work on a lot of emotional issues that caused me to gain the weight in the first place...and then un-learn the bad habits since it got ingrained in me of eating unhealthy! Double the work! But I think it will be worth it!0 -

I'm glad there is someone else out there that ends up wearing baggy clothes without realizing! Some of my shorts made my rear look flat or have none at all! I didn't even notice it until it started falling off of me!0 -
When Hubby found himself laughing at me because my underwear was litterally falling down. Until that point I hadn't even realized. Then just the other day while trying to find some new clothing automatically going to my old size which of course, are too large. I didn't know what size I should even be looking in anymore haha. It's all good!1

North Carolina here, and no weight on my license! My old picture is still on there though, but my license expires next year so I'll have something to look forward to (kind of).0

- I can't see that I've lost weight and often times forget that I have. Ill walk past a mirror or go to put something on and I'm like "oh yeah..forgot about that.."
- I still feel big. I don't have confidence. I've lost almost 70 pounds and my mind is still in the same place it was 70 pounds ago.
- I hurt. My body physically aches from losing weight. It hurts to sit. At times it hurts to lay.
- I'm cold all the time.
- People can be quite rude about you losing weight. I live in one of the most obese states in the US. Fat is normal. The second someone's weight loss starts showing cruelty begins.
- I've went down 3 shoe sizes.
- The size and shape of my nose has changed, so much so that I heard a rumor that I had a nose job.
- Saggy skin and stretch marks. I already had both, but now my stomach looks like if you took a beach ball with a road map pattern on it and stabbed it. A deflated roadmap printed beach ball!
- Your periods could get wonky. Mine used to be like clockwork. Now; not so much.
- Sleep patterns can be disrupted. What are sleep?
Yep, all of these things.
I still feel 60 pounds heavier, you don't just sprout up confidence overnight when you've been the fat friend with negative-level confidence your whole life. >_>
My friends keep getting on these diet/exercise kicks, which last for maybe two weeks before they get frustrated and quit.. Then it's more negativity towards me and my journey/results.5 -
I feel better than I have in 20 years. I just hit my 60lbs goal yesterday. only complaint is I'm alot more cold these days especially frozen fingers.

When I get fast food, I almost always get Burger King. A Whopper Jr. w/o cheese or mayo is 240 calories, whereas a McDonald's hamburger, the little one, is 250, and every other sandwich at McDonald's has a lot more calories. On the Whopper Jr., you get tomato, lettuce and sliced onion, too, and, though it is small and was a bit hard to get used to after eating full-size Whoppers all my life, I have found this to be a satisfying, low-calorie meal when I am out and about and need to eat something. Pair it with an unsweetened iced tea and I am all set.

There is no finish line. I'm 3 years in (2 years maintenance) and know that I can go back to my old self at any time. I still have to wake up with the same drive and motivation that I had in those first couple weeks of weight loss.17

here here....make it a lifestyle change and it feels much better. Pigging out is enjoyable for the 10 minutes I am eating but miserable otherwise. Feeling good & healthy is just about a perpetual feeling. I do still love to eat and have weak moments but they are few and far between.

Most of these (if not all) have probably been mentioned before, but:
- Cold. So very very cold all of the time. Just the other day I was wondering why I was so cold compared to last year and then I realised ''oh yeah, I lost >25lbs since then!''
- All my rings are too big. And not just mine but my late mum's (and nan's) as well, which makes me a little sad. I don't want to have them resized because some are quite fragile and they remind me of my mum's hands, but I wish I could wear them at times.
- lying on my side my knees touching is very uncomfortable. Who'd have thought I'd ever have knobbly knees!
- Sitting on hard surfaces. Ouch.
- Went down a shoe size. That was weird.
- My bf likes picking me up and the first time I was like ''noooo you'll break your back!'' but he didn't of course as I was a lot lighter irl than I was in my mind. I've lost more weight since then and he still likes picking me up and I still have that initial reaction.
- I clasp my hands all the time because my hands/fingers are so much thinner. I probably look like an evil genius/like I'm praying all the time but it just feels so funny!7 -

You should put the rings on a necklace so you can still keep them with you.4
