My tail bone is uncomfortable when doing exercises that require you lay on the floor.
I'm SO glad I'm not the only one!
I was honestly panicking when I first began to notice the pulse in my abdomen area! Thought I was pregnant or something, lol. My girlfriend never understood when I tried to explain it, and I couldn't find a similar thread about it on the internet.5 -
This thread is something I'm going to try to look at any time I need encouragement. I really appreciate the fact that someone started it up and everyone keeps on adding to it. So positive.
A good motivator for me is to fit into my clothes comfortably again so I don't have to go buy more for a while... To feel comfortable in my body whether in a bathing suit on the beach, naked in front of my lover, or walking around day to day... I want to feel good in my skin. And to avoid IBS-LIKE symptoms from binge eating and actually go a week or two without a horrible stomachache that makes me pop imodium like candies.
My IBS went from once or twice a week to symptom free for over six months!13 -
- That it would cost me MORE MONEY than I ever fathomed (e.g., healthy food, constant replacing of wardrobes/shoes/bras/coats/etc, going places/going out and trying new things)
- That I would pay for gym memberships at two different gyms because it makes me more happy than anything.
- That I would start to be someone who gets annoyed and judgie of other's pity parties.
- That sexy time is more fun and more better!

I know exactly what you ladies are feeling. Sometimes I ask my husband if my outfits are appropriate for a nearly 60 year old woman. I don't want to be that girl who thinks she looks hot but in reality is a hot mess.28 -
I've had the opposite happen. I was not blessed with a large bust. Even when I was 220 my bust stayed pretty much the same. Now that I'm 172, my boobs are bigger than my belly and they look a lot bigger than they did before even though they are still the same size.10 -
How good it feels when something doesn't fit (because it is to small!). Two skirts that didn't zip up now fit perfectly and a bra I purchased to small (it was pretty and they only had a size smaller then i needed hahaha) is now to big! I don't mind that my boobs have shrunk it's totally worth it hahah!
I am about 8 kilos off a healthy weight range but have now lost 6, I'm almost half way, how insane is that! Today I saw a friend who works away and he mentioned that I looked thinner and seemed a lot happier. You'll feel just as good as you look on the out, not only because you are slimmer but because you are healthier, I wish I knew how good I would feel, it keeps me motivated now. I want to keep going and keep on feeling like the best me I can be ❤️❤️❤️
Also how much money you will save not buying food out hahaha, added bonus!12 -
I'm only on day 6 so far, but this thread has been one heck of an inspiration to me. My biggest fear is loose skin, I am 6'4" and (roughly) 340 pounds so I have a metric snot ton to drop and I am terrified that I am going to look like a sharpei but that fear is not going to hold me back, thank you all for the inspiration.
Feel free to add me.
I completely understand what you mean about the loose skin. After 3 kids and gaining a total of 70 lbs over the years I am finally on the losing side. The trouble is that I have already started to see the flabby skin problem especially with me stomach. There are some outfits and dresses I have that I have to wear a girdle with not bc of fat but bc of loose skin hanging or sagging or jiggling. Anyone have any tips to help combat this problem?
Weight training helps skin snap back. Keep your skin well moisturized and hit the free weights. FYI it make take a few years for your skin to catch up with the rest of your body. Give it some time before you decide to do anything drastic like surgery.4 -

Except you now spend all that money on a new wardrobe, gym memberships, protein powder, mobility tools, etc lol.9 -
* watching the skin on certain bodyparts droop when you are so use to seeing them full (of fat.)
* Stretch marks deep as caverns
* Going past a window, seeing a reflection and double taking
* People commenting on how good you look
* Slipping into a suit you havent worn in a long time and realizing it is too lose now
Im not at journey's end. I have another 30 pounds to go...12 -
How uncomfortable the hooks of a bra would be once you'd lost enough weight to feel your spine - sitting against anything (including the back rest of a car) is really uncomfortable!12

Oh yes - this!
I've also realised that the down side to losing weight and getting fit is that it takes less effort to do what used to be hard... Don't get me wrong - being able to run up the stairs without getting out of breath is fantastic - but it does take more effort now to burn the same number of calories as when I started!17 -
That you'll have a giant collection of tupperware containers of every shape, size (and maybe color). And you'll be doing dishes and laundry far more often than you used to.
OH, and the winter - FREEZING. All. The. Time.13 -

I might have to wait for a day that isn't as windy for that to happen.Taylorgo90 wrote: »You can wear skirts!

I have lost 65 pounds since January 2016. The things that I notice are that its easier to put on shoes and socks, easier to get in and out of car, easier to "finish/clean up" after some bathroom functions (sorry thats gross but true). Looking at pictures from back in December and January are a shock...I was huge. I hate buying clothes and waited until just recently to get new pants. I fit in pants that were 8 inches smaller in waist, that felt good. People notice and many say stuff like "have you lost weight?" and then some ask "is everything ok" like maybe i am sick. Its all good. 75 more to goal27

....that eating out would go from one of your favorite things, to something you hate and dread.36

Nobody told me how often I would feel frumpy as I'm losing weight. It could cost a small fortune to refresh my wardrobe every time something becomes too big, so I wear the clothes that sorta fit.
Not that I'm complaining that I get to shop more often12
