Just got in a little bit ago from the race this weekend. Did well - under 19 minute miles for 4 miles. Which is really pretty good for me. Had so much fun with the ladies, but did splurge on the eating, and while we walked around quite a bit, didn't keep track of much other than the race. It was a great fun, race weekend! Now to buckle down and get those last 4 hours before the end of the month!

1 July: 70 min walking leisurely/slow (2.26 miles total) with a friend and her dogs = 70 minutes
2 July: 30 min speed walking through airports = 30 minutes
    3 July: 110 min touring SUP (4.95 miles) = 110 minutes
    4 July: 75 min slow touring SUP (3.6 miles) = 75 minutes
    5 July: 30 min gazelle machine (2 miles) = 30 minutes
    6 July: rest
    7 July: 60 min gazelle machine (4.1 miles); 5 min jumping jacks (300 total) = 65 minutes
    8 July: 60 min gazelle machine (4.15 miles) = 60 minutes
    9 July: 81 min touring SUP (3.87 miles (est)) = 81 minutes
    10 July: rest
    11 July: rest
    12 July: 45 min gazelle machine (3.08 miles) = 45 minutes
13 July: 120 min touring SUP with a few slow areas (5.06 miles) = 120 minutes
    14 July: 46 min gazelle machine (3.03 miles) = 46 minutes
15 July: 120 min gardening (really 140, but took a few 5 min breaks due to the heat) = 120 minutes
    16 July: 30 min touring/casual SUP (just over a mile) = 30 minutes
    17 July: rest
    18 July: 45 min gazelle machine (3.04 miles) = 45 minutes
    19 July: 65 min touring SUP (3.12 miles) = 65 minutes
    20 July: 60 min gazelle machine (4.07 miles); 12 min kettlebell (5 exercises; 3 sets of 15-20 reps) = 72 minutes
21 July: 93 min touring SUP (4.62 miles); 5 min stretching on the board = 98 minutes
22 July: rest day (might get some walking in, but driving 8 or so hours to Perdido Key for the race on Sat)
23 July: 76 minutes of racing SUP - FloraBama Race!! (4 miles) = 76 minutes
24 July: rest day (driving home)

Total: 1238 minutes out of 1440 minutes

    * Yeah, I probably shouldn't be taking the time for PG. But, its active time with the kids. Incorporation of activity of various types into their lives is just as important as it is into mine.

If Pokemon Go is getting you out there to be active, and especially getting your kids out there, I say it's an awesome way to be more active. Thumbs up!!

I was thinking about trying it, but I think it's too invasive of an app to put on my personal phone. Thought about getting a burner phone to play it, but not sure I'm going to be that into it, so I may just go back to geocaching instead.

Totally not worth getting the "burner" phone. I find the whole thing rather annoying. But as you say, if its getting the kids outside, it is worth it... Perhaps geocaching would be better. @b3achy is there an app for that?

Why the heck not? It's still a gym. :) You're moving, and getting in family time while you exercise is fun multitasking.

    A gym?!? Yeah. right.

Fair enough. I've been hearing mixed reviews.

    Per geocaching.
There is the main/original site via web browser - geocaching.com. The folks that run the site (Groundspeak) do have an app, and they used to charge for it (but it looks to be free now but with in app purchases). Many of us old timers use an open source/free app called c:geo that I heard at one time was probably even better than Groundspeak app when they were charging for theirs (don't know how it compares currently - frankly the Groundspeak interface looks like it might be a bit easier to use than the c:geo one these days, but I like that the c:geo one is open source).

I will warn you though, that the mobile apps require GPS use on your smart phone, which will run the battery down pretty quickly. It's okay if you are going out to do a few caches, or have a charger with you. If you are serious about doing lots of caching in a day, you may want to invest in a separate GPS and download the caches into it.

You can build a basic user account on geocaching.com for free, but they do have a premium account with a yearly fee (about $30 US) that helps if you become an avid cacher...easier to download caches in bulk, access to some premium caches, access to more tools on the site, etc.
