I agree. 15 miles in 2 days will be a piece of cake.
For you!!! I checked out the course yesterday, and it's rated as difficult.
I would also gladly accept a piece of cake right now.1 -
You know we will!!! It's a great plan to just focus on the now, and not worry about anything else.
Also, what exactly are you trying to say?!
IIFYM!!!4 -

Well, it IS tough to hike with an overnight pack if you're not used to it, but that's a very manageable distance for any reasonably fit person. Just to compare if you're doing half of it the first day, that's a distance that a hobby (road) runner can do pretty comfortably in an hour and is a pretty easy 2 hr walk for anyone (with no elevation gain), so if you have a whole day to do it then even with trails, elevation, and weight on your back it shouldn't be too daunting!
We managed up to about 13 miles per day even way up at altitude in Peru and my husband is like you and pretty much just lifts, so I have total faith that you can manage it comfortably.3 -

Thanks, Mel. I know I should log it. I've done that before to make myself aware. It's all that IDGAF part...
Well, I GAF about you, so maybe about 8 my time I need to text you: STEP AWAY FROM THE CHOCOLATE!! Do a sun salutation instead. Message me your number.3 -

Maybe if I imagine @MoHousdon standing over my shoulder, tapping her toe, watching every bite that goes into my mouth...nah, I know how she eats!
ETA: Here's the plan for today (just for today, not gonna worry about anything beyond today). I have already logged all my food. I promise to @MoHousdon and @MelissaPhippsFeagins that I will stick to it. Call me on it tomorrow, k?
I will sister! I wanna come by catching up to your deadlift honestly.3 -
I will. I am in the same boat. I am up 7 lbs and can't seem to shake it. And I have an ironman in 6 weeks and haven't exercised in months. I am a mess.
Also I confess, I went to the Mets game last night with my boss and co-workers in our suite and had several glasses of wine. Sigh. Back to square 1. Day 1 #nomorealcohol
Uncomfortable social situations are my downfall.
Do I need to text you too?3 -

Not if it works for you. I have a friend from jury duty who vapes. I love the smell of her stuff. It's kind of key lime pie-ish. I can see why you'd like it.1 -

But...but..but, I already logged my chocolate and made it fit! IIFYM!4 -

Oh, no!!! That actually makes me feel better about having a drink or three Friday. You were just trying to help me out, right @Oberon21? LOL
Well if you do, then I will be 3 days ahead of you. Instead of like 14 days behind.0 -
cheryldumais wrote: »Yeah, lol, it actually does. I don't crave sweet stuff anymore. I'm 59 so I figure if my virgin lungs are being assaulted it's not so bad cause I'm not a youngster anyway, lol. The nicotine (right now it has 1.5mg) keeps me awake at night tho. =:-O
Getting rid of the nicotine would be good tho.0 -

Man, I want to hate vaping because it's such a weird trendy thing and I'm dubious about the long-term health risks and all that (although I am on the side that thinks it's almost certainly safer than cigarettes), but one of my friends vapes something that smells like warm Christmas baking and spices and I will literally follow him around at parties to secondhand inhale it. I'd wear perfume that smelled like it, it's that good.
I also much, much prefer to be near someone vaping than smoking from a smell perspective no matter what the vape scent is, so...shrug.

Also, I think bodybuilding.com has another challenge starting in about a month. (But I could do so much damage in a month...)
Welll lets start our own challange then?!3 -

I keep scanning over this and somehow it reads as "Do I need to text you boo?" and I keep thinking "Hmm, that is not a slang phrase I would expect to hear from Melissa..."4 -

I'd be in for a competition. ESPECIALLY if it means I have a chance of beating Quik AT ANYTHING!!!3 -

It's not one I'd expect to say either, Megan.1 -
My book situation is out of control, they are currently crammed everywhere possible (including in multiple layers on bookshelves so I can't even see half of them) and still in boxes in our basement but I can't bring myself to get rid of them or stop buying them. I buy and read tons of ebooks too but I still like to have actual books for stuff like vacations and travel - I hate relying on my phone or ereader or tablet battery so I always have backup real books and sometimes I don't want to be staring at a screen. I'm also really into audiobooks, I listen when I run or on walk/bike commutes and long road trips.
I'm funny with them though, if someone wants to read one of mine or needs it for something I have no problem lending or giving it away and never seeing it again. I'm not sure why I don't mind but for some reason I'm Book Santa and will just give them out to anyone who asks. I did it a lot with my university textbooks if I knew people who were taking courses right after me with the same prof, and I still do it today if I have a friend over who wants to borrow something. I wonder how many books I'd have if I didn't share them quite so freely, haha. It kind of warms my heart when I'm over at someone else's house and see a book I lent them though.
In my dream home I'd do the built-in bookcases and the rolling ladder for sure. One of my friends did that in a house she built and I am obsessed, it's the nicest office ever.3 -

Count me among the IDGAF crowd today. Must be that time of the month. I ate two pints of Blue Bell today... Cookie Two Step and Strawberry. Both were delicious. Yes, I did log them.1

I have never smelled it. I have never actually seen anyone do it. Sounds better than I thought tho0 -
