Cheri! Congrats, keeping fingers crossed for the sale to go through without a hitch.

Heather LOL! My son is 39. Being his FB friend is a bit of a challenge...I don't comment on any of his posts because I don't want to him to feel self-conscious ("oh God if I post this I wonder what my mother will post in reply..."). It does give me a window into his life which he would otherwise not always share with me. And I get to see more pictures of the kids.

    <3 to all.

    Hello, Congenial Cuties!

I had mostly typed up my post for yesterday when I realized that if I didn’t get my butt home, right quick, my DH would be upset with me for being late for his Pork Roast Dinner. So, I stopped, dropped and rolled. I have just continued thru today on my replies.

Today, I was having another Veruca Salt moment – so, I decided to measure myself. I was thrilled to see another inch has fallen away from my waist and from my hips/belly – so, that kind of snapped me out of my impatience. Thank Heaven! I also did the math – 37 pounds in 31 weeks – exactly. That’s just under 1.2 pounds a week – which is just what I signed on for... so I just need to get over my impatience. Since I am not really doing what ANYONE could consider depriving myself of anything, I really can’t complain. All I am really doing is regulating when I eat what I want – so it all falls under the calorie guidelines I have set for myself. Since it isn’t a difficult “plan” to follow, and I expect to be on it for the rest of my life, there is really no hurry. I guess I just want it all – to be not ONLY painless but fast as well... *sigh* As IF. LOL.

I am still excited about exercise – still a devotee. I have been doing my lifting every day – alternating arm and leg days – and I am slowing increasing the weight on all my exercises. I FINALLY got the overhead press to 35 pounds, today. (Whoot!) Let me tell you, I have zip, zero, nada for upper body strength – particularly that overhead press – so I am excited that I was able to do it at all. Two weeks ago, 30 pounds was MORE than I could do for 8 reps, so, the whole process is working. I figure if I get that press up to 50 pounds, I will do a little victory dance in the gym... lol. I am babying my legs a little – I want to give them time to get conditioned to the idea before I do too much weight on anything – but, I am thinking when I get the leg press up to my bodyweight, I might try a squat, again. And I am still toying with the idea of getting a Trainer – but, alas, there is simply NO money for that, right now – and probably not for a long time – since the car payment lasts for 6+ more years.

Thank goodness my gym membership is cheaper than chips... I will always be able to afford it, barring outright unemployment.

    &&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&

Lenora – YES – my home computer has been freezing up when I come to MFP – I think it’s one of their adverts that is doing it. I have had some luck with Deleting my browser history frequently – like daily. It may be some conflict in cookies or something. Or my Ram may be breaking down – if it gets worse, I will have to take my computer into the shop. Hope you find the pieces of your Nativity set.

Joyce – Loved the commode in the kitchen. I am just glad you have a fully functioning bathroom for Charlie. Sorry about the mattress fiasco...

Cheri – Hurray!!! Sorry that the price had to be slashed – but I know that carrying two homes is a big, big stressor. And yes – worrying about burst pipes and all the joys of a hard winter would be the pits. Whoot! Cash buyers rock! Hope he doesn’t find a zillion things he wants you to fix. ((Hugs!!))

Katla – I am a soup kind of gal – it’s so easy to throw it into the crockpot and there are endless varieties to be had. Sorry about the Raccoons... they are pesty little things. My DH had cataract surgery, recently... Hope your DH can get his eye fixed, as easily.

Rori – Have fun in NYC – love visiting there.

Mary – How is the Kettle Bell Queen doing?

Pip – Loving all the Puppy Pics.

Gloria – Walking is a good thing... Hope you get some rest. Oh – and Sherry has logged in, today – she just hasn’t checked in with us, here. I sent her a note asking her to come and tell us how the move went.

Liz – ((Hugs!)) Hope that pain gets gone, real soon, Sugar.

Kate – Where do you go for the Holidays?

Heather – Yay for happy knees! I am in awe of anyone who has already finished the shopping. Any more news on the viewers? And the Enterprise, OF COURSE... I mean, how many other choices ARE there, really? Good luck with your difficult friend. Glad to hear your DS is feeling less depressed.

Sheridan – Welcome! Tracking is good... I have a little mantra... “If I log, I lose...If I log, I lose...” So far it’s working. Something about the act of keeping track keeps me more in line than just good intentions. Pull up a keyboard and tell us about yourself.

Lisa – I am soooo happy for you going part time! Work is a good thing – but not when it consumes your life. Money really isn’t everything (take it from someone with experience!) so enjoy that renewed quality of life. ((Hugs!!)) Hope those folks in Arkansas are anxious to sell and you get the land for a steal.

Allie – So glad we haven’t driven you off! ((Hugs!!)) Glad the scale isn’t ganging up on you, too. I hope you get all the info you need from Tom. We always send cash to the grandkids, too.

NYKaren – Soup is good food~! And super low in calories. Do you make your cakes in a muffin tin? Or are they bigger than that? Fingers crossed for DH! If you don’t ask, you don’t get... so maybe he will!

Rita – (((HUGS!!!))) Hope you start to feel a little better, Hon.

Michele – Gay Gasper Rebounder? That is quite the name she has... And gosh, I am hard pressed to get ONE tree up – you guys have four? I am thinking your house must be HUGE. And I am with Vince on the Christmas Party – you are part of the class – therefore you are invited – whether or not the official invite found you. I would have a hard time with all that baking... cookie dough is a hard thing to resist. And, I believe I also have a tribble – not sure where I got it, maybe in Vegas, when I bought my Quark’s cup.

Carey – Sounds like you need a new specialist... bummer there aren’t more of them. And yeah, life doesn’t just stop for medical conditions unless they are super serious. You can’t just wander off in the middle of a presentation. Hope you find someone that can help... maybe a doc with a slightly more realistic bedside manner.

Margaret – Oh gosh, the window isn’t fixed, yet? I would be pitching a fit. Glad DH could fix the fridge.

Carol – Jambalaya – mmmmm. Enjoy the rain. I am so over it... lol.

Charleen – Sorry about DD and the too small jeans... I know how disappointing it is to have your mind all set for one thing and then suddenly have to do something else.

    Karen/VA<3

KJ – I imagine you have a plethora of kiddie Christmas Activities lined up. Can’t wait to hear about them. I love the whole Kids and Christmas thing... it’s the most fun part of the holiday.

Kim – Butternut Squash is da bomb. And how clever of you to introduce healthy foods to your friends... And your quickie replacement soup sounds fabulous. Love my stick blender!

    Lois

    Tori
    – LOL – I am so with you on leaving the decorations up. I love to decorate –but hate to take them down. Sorry about the back, pain, though.

    Janet
    – Home is good! Glad you had a great trip.

Kay – I can totally taste the can, too – the only canned soup I ever eat anymore is Campbell’s Tomato – and that is infrequent. Mostly I make my own soup in the crockpot.

    Barbie
    – Thanks, again for keeping us all organized! And get to bed earlier! You need your rest.

SueBDew – Fingers crossed for your weigh in.

DJ – I hope you have a wonderful cruise!

    Jane
    – ((Hugs!!)) Relax and heal, Honey.

    &&&&&&&&&&&&&&&

I have been eating – within CICO – but still Decadently for the last several days. The stuffing and the green bean casserole are all gone – the turkey and gravy will get eaten tonight on Hot Turkey Sandwiches... mmmm. Giblet Stuffing is so rich and carblicious... but soon, I must return to the less carby life. Errrr... as soon as we finish the pie. (It takes a long time to eat a pie in 1/8th slices, without going over CICO... lol.)

I love the rich, delicious food – but, I kinda miss my beans and ham!

    Hugs for Everybody!

OK, I have been asked to check in so here goes....I haven't posted since thanksgiving day....

The move to a new park did NOT happen...I can't get in anywhere else here in Portland....my generator won't start now so if I move to the street somewhere I cannot provide myself with electricity....I am desperately stuck in this hell hole...the manager has been talking crap about me to anyone who will listen so now all the neighbors around me hate me....someone slashed one of my tires night before last on my car which cost me $65 to replace...called the owner of the park and she doesn't give a rat's a** about anything that goes on here....the police tell me to stop calling them as they are tired of dealing with the problems in this park....except for yesterday I haven't been walking because I am afraid to leave my motorhome for anything other than MD appts (yesterday I went to Delta Park for a half hour to do my walk but was very very anxious of leaving my cat and motorhome alone for any length of time)....I am running out of food and need to go shopping but am too afraid to leave here, this motorhome is all I have and I can't afford to have any damage done to it....Thanksgiving was the worst I've ever had, I cried for 2 hours straight which gave me a headache and didn't eat anything, except last night I haven't eaten since the day before Thanksgiving....I cry 3 or 4 times a day now....my psychiatrist upped my meds today to twice the dose I was taking....I have multiple panic attacks everyday now....my PTSD is now no longer controlled (hence the upping of the meds) and I have severe night terrors (I wake up screaming) now....in summary, life for me is sh*tty and I feel like I am losing my mind.....

The only good thing to happen to me is a former neighbor went out and bought me a Fitbit Flex at Walmart and brought it to me to help with tracking my weight loss (if it weren't for the fitbit and wanting to try it out I would not have walked yesterday).

Sorry I haven't been posting but I just feel so unloved, unwanted and uncared for....I am having a very hard time with my speech problem and have to write everything down so I haven't really felt like talking to anybody or typing for that matter....and now I am crying again just from typing this, so please forgive me but that is all I have for now....I have to go...

Re- I'm still swinging! I am still having issues with shoulder spasms. So I have deloaded down to my 30 lb. I am doing light weight with the Stronglifts. We are remodeling so I have all I can handle with reading and checking in here and with friends on my newsfeed. Thanks for asking about me!

Well guess what, I lost 1.4 over Thanksgiving. I am so pumped. Maybe I have the right attitude to do this.
Re- thanks for your crossed fingers, it helped!!
Joyce - we're looking forward to no shopping this year except for stocking stuffers. Unfortunately, my oldest daughter and her family can't make the trip so now I have to do something for them.
Barbie-I think you are wise to listen to your body.
Sherry - breathe, breathe, breathe. Do you have access to a yoga tape. It will help you relax.
Katla - hope your DH's eye appointment went well. I saw my retina specialist today as a follow up to a bleed in my left eye. It is all healed so that's a good thing.

Hi- I just found this group. I'm 63 and 7 weeks out from hip replacement surgery. I had a fracture due to osteoporosis. Is anyone dealing with osteoporosis? Trying to get back into walking. I have been released to go back to yoga- except I can't get down on the floor yet- ha! Trying to lose weight to help with joint pain. I am having knee replacement surgery next year. Cindy in Texas

Michelle - what if you just say "I haven't heard anything about a Christmas Party yet are we having one this year?"

I didn't get a chance to post last night because DGS#1 turned off the modem without telling me so the internet connection was gone. I'm going to finish reading and then I'll post.
