Dr. Katie Bug, you are right. Peter Walsh from TLCs Clean Sweep. Yep, that's the guy. He had a degree in phsychology and that is what he used in helping those people get rid of things.mi remember TLC had their crew take all the things in the room and put them under a tarp in the yard. AtLC would then have a much smaller tarp that the couple had put their things they would wanted to keep on. Oh, the gut wrenching decisions those people would have to make.
I have read things all day long so I am sure I don't remember what everyone wrote. I do appreciate the birthday wishes. Hmmmm, have I said this already? Maybe I did post today. It has made my day. I have had many phone calls today. We went to Red Lobster. We have two large basketball tournaments in town today, one high school them the Onio Valley Conference basketball tourney, so getting seated at Red lobster but Michelle's room mate got there real early and put in a reservation for us. So that was like a gift to me because he is such a sweet guy and it helped Charlie not be so frustrated and saying few choice words and not enjoying his meal. He normally does not find anything there he likes besides the cheddar biscuits but tonight he got shrimp and actuall enjoyed it. I got my usual baked cod, baked potato and cole slaw. I brought half the potato and cod home with me. They will be lunch tomorrow. Michelle did go to Schnucks before she got here and got me a single piece of chocolate cake. I should have only eaten a portion of that but I enjoyed every morsel and licked the frosting off the side.
Heather, I did not get the PM you sent. You know my iPad has this weird name for me so I even went to my lap top where I am my real name and it wasn't there either.
Well my fingers are freezing so I better hang up. Love you, have had a wonderful birthday, 68 is ok! Joyce, Indiana5 -
Jake has been extra needy today so I spent a fair amount of time riding my exercise bike and talking to him. I had planned two big housework projects and a big paperwork project but decided that just sitting with him was the most important thing I could do. My walking friend met me this morning for a long walk and she helped me sort through a few dilemmas that I had and, I, in turn, helped her with some stuff that was on her mind...and we burned a bunch of calories along the way.
I don't respond too much to what you all write about, but I remember it and sometimes use your experience to share with a friend to help her with a personal challenge that one of you has mastered. Thank you for all you add to my life.
I have been logging food and exercise on MFP since February 2009 with only occasional lapses of a day or two. It is a plan that works for me. I have found food that I like that has the necessary nutrition and I eat a lot of the same things over and over. Someone told me when I started that the best food plan was the one you stick to. Mine is different from what many of you do, but since it works for me, I stay with it. This thread is not about pushing a special food plan, it's about supporting each other along our personal journeys. If my plan weren't working, I'd be reading about what others are doing and trying their plans.

Hi Sisters, I have just come in from a long trail ride on my bestie Mani. I rode on a neighbour's hill country farm which is full of steep ups and downs, edge of cliffs, sheep tracks as well as water crossings. I got off and led him up the final hill, which took about 10 or 15 minutes of climbing and it was so hot I drank a full 14oz bottle of water as I climbed it. I did 30 minutes of weights work out this morning and I oiled saddle and bridle after the ride. Am just thinking about taking the dogs for a hill hike now. I think Major and Jock need a turn out.
Michelle, I know I know! No Chocolate is a HUGE change for me and guess what? I'm about to make it three days in a row without even a hot chocolate or a sugar free chocolate. NONE. Don't know how long I can be this strong but so far, so good! I came in famished from my trail ride and I chose to eat veggies: corn, beets and sweet potato. It was a very pretty plate of food! Golden yellow, purple-red and orange.
Katla, I am loving The Good Place. I am still watching season one and am finding the intellectual premise most fascinating. I like to try to guess what way the plot will turn every time the show ends in a dillema.
Machka, sounds like you tried to make good choices at the bakery. I love carrot cake but yep, it is fattening! I am very interested in the educational offer of upgrading your BA that Australia offers. Is it mostly distance extramural classes?

Happy Saturday!!
Cheri[/b] - darling house! Now is that the one you are moving out of or in to? I think I skipped some conversations. Ho boy.... How's your son settling in?
Have a good weekend!

That is a pic of the house we plan on turning into our Home Sweet Texas Home. We close in March. Spent the day navigating through the inspection report. Nothing major. Thankfully.
Our son is in Chicago. Very happy with his apt. His goods arrived and he says he is unpacked. We will be seeing him in 2 weeks as we are driving his car up for him over the hub's Spring Break. I'll "finish" unpacking for him!
Thanks for asking!

Cheri - it's an awesome house! Looks like a nice neighborhood and I know you'll be happy there for a long time! Glad nothing major popped up in the inspection. Did you say your son in Chicagoland was going to work for Ernst & Young? Bet you can't wait to see him ;-). And vicey versa!

Our son started working for Deloitte Chicago after graduating from Indiana University. After 2 years there he needed a change. Coincidentally we had just moved down here to TX so he transferred to Deloitte Houston. He is a CPA. He spent a year and a half here and recently was recruited by a past mentor to Ernst & Young. He couldn't be happier. We are looking forward to having Chicago back on our vacation list.

Unfortunately, so far, none of it has been distance education. I'm in an IT program ... you'd think they'd be able to teach us online, but nope. It's all at the university.
However, other universities have distance programs and I keep thinking that maybe one day I'll transfer into one of them.
I'll send you some links when I get back from today's bicycle ride.

Becca - the chicken quilt you posted made me miss my chickens. Used to have about 26 hens and 2 roosters (Elvis and Rooster Cogburn). The roosters were raised together and got along great. Cogburn would perch on my forearm and eat out of my hand. The hens would jump on my lap or shoulder. Eventually Cogburn got so huge, he was too heavy for my arm. He got to be an enormous rooster with a huge red comb and amazing curved spurs. Elvis loved bananas. Every other kind of food, he would call the hens over to eat first, but he would grab a piece of banana out of my hand and run so the hens couldn't have it. They were hilarious.11

Elvis is on the left (a Barred Rock), Cogburn on the right (Rhode Island Red), when they were still young. Elvis grew to be pretty large, but Cogburn eventually grew to be fully half again as large as Elvis.

I had visitors today!
If you go on my FB page there is a video of them. The young bull has lots of ladies now! Like a harem!

Mary - I didn't grow up with the orange trees in my backyard. MIL and FIL lived in FL in what used to be an orange grove. So they had trees in their back yard and on the side of their house. whenever we'd go visit them, that's when we'd get the fresh oranges. And some people had grapefruits too
Laura - we ARE a chatty bunch. But that's also part of the beauty of this. We talk about everything (except religion and politics) because everything affects how we eat and sometimes even what we eat. I've found many times that other's give me a different perspective to looking at things
Wendy - Are you knowingly going without chocolate (like giving it up for Lent) or is it just happening and you realize at the end of the day that you haven't had any chocolate?
Michele in NC3 -
Rita awesome February, well done!
Wendy, Wonder Woman how appropriate
Allie so glad for your day of laughter.
Heather "Club soda" hahaha that's what I drink when line dancing at the tavern. Look forward to hearing more tips as yuo learn them.
Katla AHMOD=Aging Hippie, Mother of Dogs. Sorry to be so obscure, it's been my tag line for a long while.
Lanette tossing jars and bottles into recycling dumpster can be very satisfying stress release
Kay walking in pjs, bigsmile
Thanks Terry, Katla, Betsy, Dana for the bday wishes.
Welcome Pam in transit from FL to SC , Katie Kikkiwan, Claudine GA, Pauline, Vix576.
Thunder, lightning, hail, wind and rain cancelled dog group today. Please, all of you suffering horrific weather (Beth, Heather, NYKaren et al) please be safe!
Feeling a bit low, spent most of today watching TV with Joe, no real activity. Here I am, 3 days into March and haven't meditated, SWSY or walked Tumble once. On the good side, AF, Line Dance and Tai Chi once each, logged and supplemented every day.
So signing off to meditate and SWSY before shower and bed. I CAN do this and it will make me feel better
hugs to all,
Barbara, the Southern Oregon Coastie AHMOD.

Hello all!
I had a great day! It was beautiful outside; blue skies and about 67f. DH went hiking, so I did a little housework, scrapbooking and looked for an interesting spot to stay st Eureka Springs (AR) for our anniversary in July.
I saw a fun place that has treehouses and “hobbit caves”.
I just realized how hard it is to stay away from salt. When I was in the hospital Sunday and Monday, I lost 3 pounds because I had no salt. Something to work on. I gained that right back!
Joyce Happy Birthday! I hope you had a great day!!
Pstegman love the chickens!! I had Rhode Island Reds for a while. 12 hens gave me a dozen eggs every day. It was awesome! Now I’m lucky to eat 2-3 eggs a week.
Have a super Sunday! Planning on church in the morning. Looking forward to seeing my church family.

Me today... no makeup! Yikes!

Wendy The Good Place is my favourite TV show ever. Enjoy!
Did my hula hoop yesterday. Only 16 minutes but my self challenge requires only 15 minutes so I can check off another successful day at that.
Tomorrow I start my second round of the five day FMD (Fast Mimicking Diet) for 2018. I’m planning on doing this 5 or 6 rounds this year.
Got a wonderful compliment yesterday. A gal at work said ‘well, you have fantastic posture’. I can tell you I never ever heard that in my whole life - just the opposite in fact. I’ve got to give the credit to the weight training (strong women stay young program modified).

Michele, yes I have chosen to cut out chocolate because it is my personal demon that I have to fight every day. If I give in a little, I give in a lot. Usually the cravings are too strong and I have to have it. I will even do a round trip forty minute drive into town to get some and I have done that a lot! I feel I have earned it, every time I do any exercise and it negates any gains I might have made. It bumps up my blood sugar and causes me to burn high, then fall flat over and over. I am finding I have a much more steady energy supply following Ernie's meal plans. She eats a small meal and eats often, which suits me, but a lot of her food is protein, egg whites and tuna bulked up with spinach or broccoli. A cup of oatmeal a day. A cup of brown rice a day. A sweet potato a day. A couple of walnuts. A couple tablespoons of pineapple. This way of eating is keeping my blood sugar stable and I am able to control my eating because I am not getting the overwhelming cravings.
Rye, I am just heading upstairs to get on the bike and watch some more Good Place. It's got humour and philosophy and twists and naughtiness. I love it. I am very impressed that you can do 15 minutes of hula hoop. I am going to try to do five minutes to start with. Mostly picking it up off the floor. LOL Wendy6 -

I was eating chocolate after work every day for several years, but when I started with MFP, I decided to stop eating chocolate after work. I still wanted something, so now I eat cottage cheese with raw veggies which contains lower calories and has more "staying power". By way of explanation, we come home after work, have a light snack, then exercise (walk or cycle usually) and then have dinner.
Interestingly, within about a week, I stopped craving chocolate, and now I only have it on occasion.wildhorsewendy wrote: »I am finding I have a much more steady energy supply following Ernie's meal plans. Did 45 minutes of the Fit in 10 DVD. I didn't realize that it was as long as it was or that there are two workouts. But that's OK. The plan for tomorrow is to do a Beach Pilates Based Abs Bun and Thigh DVD
Wendy - NO CHOCOLATE!!! Are you feeling OK????
Joyce - happy birthday
Katla - sorry your son can't make it. Hopefully, he will be able to at another time
Kylia - a meeting sounds good to me. Just let me know when. Have you ever been to the Biltmore?
Rori - Mars is beautiful. Rest up and then exercise more
Pauline - welcome!
Terry - hope Collette is fine. Don't you wish cats/dogs could be on our insurance???
Made chicken to have later in the week, registered for the cake decorating class, made the icing for the class (I'm not going to buy it -- too expensive and it really doesn't taste all that good so I'd be embarassed to give it to anyone), next have to make the cake to take with me. I THINK we had a mouse downstairs. At first Vince wouldn't believe me, he had every excuse in the book. Finally, we found some droppings so he put down one of those sticky traps yesterday. This morning Loki, Bonnie and Clyde were downstairs. Loki kept looking at the storage room door (where we put the trap). I'm going to hope that his hearing is real good, but there was no way I was going to find out. So I'm waiting (and waiting) for Vince to go downstairs to look because I need the cake mix. First he's walking around the house "ommm, ommm, I feel horrible", then he has to have lunch, now he has to go to the bathroom. Update: there wasn't anything down there
Saw online that Pete's mother DOES live in a 55+ community. I wonder how the neighbors are going to feel if there are younger people living there? Also, what about parking? How is it going to be when suddenly there are 2 more vehicles. Well...not my problem.
Margaret - lovely paintings!
Vix - welcome. Tell us more about yourself.

Well, let’s see now. My name is Vicki. I have been living in Italy for 14 years, but British originally. 54 years old, single, 25 year old son who has moved back home after the break up of his long term relationship and I live with my mother. She is great for 78, no health issues of any sort. Living with the 2 of them can be fraught at times - very big generation gap - and they clash a little.
I’m an ESL teacher and a Cambridge examiner, which I live doing.
I’ve battled with my weight since I was a teenager with a weight range of anything from 62kgs to 122.5kgs, which was my heaviest up to 3 weeks ago. I’ve tried ww , sw and a whole load of other diet plans, but have to say since I have been using mfp I’ve managed to lose weight in a way that I haven’t before. I’ve always found the others tell me I need to eat more, so lose weight very slowly, I know it’s the way it’s supposed to be done, but it’s very soul destroying to lose .5kg a week, when you have over 50kgs to loose.
In 3 weeks I’ve managed to lose 4.5kgs, lose 4cm from my neck and 3.2 from my waist - my hips on the other hand have gone on strike and take a cm from the rest of my body13 -

For example ... this is an online graduate certificate from the University of South Queensland. If a postgraduate program has a Graduate Certificate option, chances are the entry requirements will be any Bachelor's degree, not specifically a Bachelor's degree in the area.
So, this one says:
Entry Requirements
Completion of an Australian university Bachelor degree in any area, or equivalent.
or
A minimum of five years’ professional work experience, or equivalent."
... and it goes into a bit more detail than that.
https://www.usq.edu.au/study/degrees/graduate-certificate-of-business/project-management#entry-requirements
Then if you look at the corresponding Master's degree, it says:
Entry Requirements
Australian university Bachelor degree in the area of business, or equivalent
plus
a minimum of two years’ professional work experience, or equivalent.
Note: USQ’s Graduate Certificate of Business provides a pathway into the Master of Business Administration for students who meet the work experience requirements but do not hold a Graduate Certificate at AQF level 8 or equivalent.
https://www.usq.edu.au/study/degrees/master-of-business-administration/project-management#entry-requirements
So if you have a Bachelor's degree of some sort, then you could get the Grad Certificate ... and then you'd move into the Master's program.
This is just one example from one university. I've checked out about a dozen of them, and they've all got this option in at least a portion of their postgraduate programs. Some are online courses and some aren't.
You might check the universities in NZ to see what they've got. It's possible they have a similar setup.
