I often wonder about Miriamwithcats and Sylvia. They were good people.
Got 5 inches of snow last night but most of it is gone. And ven though he temperature is just a few degrees warmer, there isn't the breeze. So it is a little more tolerable. We went out once for me to get lab work done and then I went out later for bone density, AKA Dexa scan and mammogram done. So hopefully I am done with medical tests for awhile. I go tomorrow to get whatever he saw on my back removed.
Keeping food on schedule. My husband wants pretty much the same meals the same day of the week. I think most of you know we eat out. I have tried to cook. I'm just not a cook. I guess that is wh God had me in a jobs that paid well so now I can sat out. So Sunday is Hacienda for taco salad...shredded beef. Tuesday is Chilli at Texas Roadhouse, Wednesday is frozen pizza at home, he takes all the sausage off my half and puts in on his half, Thursday is Cracjer Barrell, I eat oatmeal and he eats a huge plate of chicken and dumplings. Friday is Fazolis for spaghetti, Saturday is Bob Evans and he eats this huge bacon cheeseburger with 3 packs of extra mayonnaise, I eat a grilled chicken salad. Sunday is Bandanas for pork barque. The world has to be this way. I think the only day we changed things was my birthday when we went to Olive Garden.
I have found a way to control Mozarts terrorizing of Melody. First of all I have to do something radical to get his attention like stomp my foot on the floor, put my hand down on the closed lap top, etc. Then I have to get eye to eye contact. He likes to hide behind Melody if he can. But if I can get him to look at me and get in an emphatic no, the issue is over and he leaves. So we are working on this. I just wish everything in the house wasn't covered in his hair.
I know I had more I was going to write but I can't remember it. I think that is a symptom of old age. I still want to know about that testicle throwing.

In Ohio, we call throwing the balls over the bar hillbilly golf. I really laughed at testicle throwing though!
Am exhausted. And heading to bed. Thank you for keeping me company again while I got my steps in.
Kylia exhausted in Ohio5 -
Lisa, onederland here you come! You go girl.
Carol, I tend to eat the same for breakfast for a few days then change to something else for a few days. I’ll do the same for lunch but for dinner I like to have different things.
Yvonne ( I think it was you), This is my first time working in brass so haven’t had that problem with people with acidity in there skin. I know that that can happen and I believe it would happen with other metals too.
Welcome all you newbies!
DD had another first date tonight. Sounds like it went well.
My cousin’s wife’s cancer results were not good. She has it throughout her body and it’s incurable. They are doing chemo to hopefully slow it down and maybe keep it from spreading. I’m heart sick over the news. It’s so hard being so far away.
Bracing for another storm which should start around midnight. Snow for the rest of the week. Hopefully I’ll get a snow day out of it.
Yes, sometimes husbands watch project runway. The three of us watch it together. I think it is the artist in DH and DD that makes it enjoyable for them.
Spent the day with DD and we had a good time. I felt I needed to spend a little mom and daughter time with her. She was getting a little depressed and was lacking social interaction since she quit her job to focus on school. I think it did us both some good.
Ok time for bed and book.

The countdown to Jake's surgery is moving along. Late in the afternoon he got the phone calls from the scheduler and the nurse. He carried his phone around with him all day so he wouldn't miss the calls and was nervous until the calls finally came. Suitcases are packed except for the items that we'll use tonight. In the morning I'll drive the pets to be boarded and then we'll leave for Seattle. We'll go to the hospital first and figure out where to park and practice the route from the parking garage to the check in place for the surgery. We'll eat a meal at the hospital cafeteria so we don't have to go looking for a restaurant, then go check into the hotel.
Stats for today:
*16,000 steps
*175 minutes walking Sasha and Bessie
*136 minutes riding the exercise bike

I’m much like Terry in how I eat but I dont do breakfast. I have two or 3 standard go to lunches or leftovers for lunch. But it’s anything goes at dinner. My DH likes to cook, so I have been practicing being flexible on Saturday and Sunday dinners- so he knows if he makes us dinner one of those nights I will generally eat it.

Heather - that is so very nice of you to sit with your friend. Good for you resisting that drink!
I've also been thinking a lot about mollywhippet and miriamwithcats. I do hope all is well with them
The whole milk probably fills you up faster. I know that it doesn't take much of the full fat cheese to satisfy me
I was doing this dragonfly at ceramics. I was done with the painting, all I had to do was clear glaze the eyes so that the white would show up. This one lady took the clear glaze and was sitting at a table with it (it wasn't at the table where it ususally is). I know that they (the people who run the ceramics studio) are concerned about the clear glaze, some people use too much. Last year they actually ran out. Well..I thought I'd be nice and just use the glaze with the lady. I went to turn around and evidentally my arm brushed against the dragonfly. You can just imagine what happened. To say that I was sick is an understatement. Even Vince commented on all the hours I put into it. I had to shave down each and every raised area so that I could put "gems" on it. Oh well...the good news is that I can get another one. At least I won't have to deal with deciding on the colors....lol That's something I always have trouble with
Terry - I'm so sorry to hear about your cousin's wife. You're a good mother to spend so much time with your dd

Oy! So many posts to catch up on!!
When I'm on my home desktop computer, I will open this site twice. On one screen I read, the other screen is for writing the post. I can scroll up and down, change pages etc without losing my post. That's when you'll see the really long posts from me!
I can only remember a few things so here goes:
Kylia, nice wheels!
Becca, so glad you have a good plan to get you thru your time in the hospital. Shall be thinking of you and Barbie (and your hubbys of course!) Hoping all goes well.
Carol, I eat pretty much the same breakfast every day and lunch rotates among a few favorites. Dinner is more varied as hubby prefers more variety.
Lisa, Egg looks adorable!
Allie, when you sell your dad's house will that not get you the money you need to satisfy all debts? I remember there is a reverse mortgage but as far as I know the bank can't lend the entire amount of the house value, so there would have to be something left over.
Such a gorgeous day today! Well has been nice for a few days now, but I was working all weekend so couldn't really enjoy it. Today had my TRX class, then got together with some friends this afternoon. When I got home hubby and I washed our car, it was SO dirty, now it looks so pretty!! Then we went for a walk, it was just lovely!
That's it for me for tonite, gotta get some sleep. That time change has kinda kicked my butt!
Hope everyone has a great day/night.

LOL! Beth! Laughing at your comment to Mary's comment about "testicle toss"! Many a time have I thought it would be nice to gather those things and toss them away. Far, far, away!
Leslie, was the name of the Tasmanian lady with the daughter with cancer. Thanks, Suekeuhn48. I know Re is doing well, as we have friended each other on this site. She is still losing and exercising regularly. I miss Leigh from France!
Well, one step forward, two steps back. Made one or two (or five or six) poor choices last week and paid the piper when I stepped on the scale yesterday. Lesson learned. No boot needed, Pip. After a day of kicking myself, I logged on here and like some psychic group/hive mind you are all talking about eating the same meals to avoid "straying". Hello. That was like one big boot to the kiester right there! Thank you!
Yoga this morning. I better go. ttfn xoxoxo KJ (Kelly)8 -
Good morning,
Daffodils in bloom at end of our drive, yet snow on them this morning.
I agree with not changing times. I don't care which hours, but the changes hurt me. I am sure running on empty yesterday most of work day didn't help. I was exhausted last night. Steady string of customers and phones from 1145-3. I finally ate my cottage cheese and pineapple at 3 while helping a customer. I apologized and explained it was lunch. They were understanding. I helped my husband after dinner with more brake work. Forced myself to get my steps. Was in bed before 10 and slept until 6. Feeling better this morning!
Barbie and Jake- good thoughts for you.
North easters- stay safe and warm. My thoughts are with y'all also.
Kylia a little overwhelmed in Ohio6 -
Just starting to fight the good fight of over eating. Trying to balance the food/cardio/weight triangle, not at all sure what to focus on first to drop the stone I want to lose. Logging my intake, am over eating a number of days. My attitude to excercise is my greatest asset.
Hey ho, here we go!
I need more Vit A apparently, didn't realise how under educated about nutrients I am. Where in Jupiter do I get Vit A from. I'll google it, unless someone can kindly reply.
Cheers all,
Angela in North East England.5 -
morning ladies
we are supposed get a foot of snow again,... but we are going to work. my son stayed overnight and he just left to walk to work .. I am done with snow!!!5 -
I woke up extra early this morning possibly because of a racing brain about packing and traveling today. My regular morning walking friend has a breakfast meeting today so I won't be meeting up with her and that allows me to take the dogs earlier than usual and have more time later for all that has to be done before we leave. We board Bernie at a cat only boarding place about 20 minutes west of our house and the dogs go the vet which is about 20 minutes east of us. I have to deliver the pets so Jake can continue his plan of staying away from people before his surgery. Then I have to change the sheets so he'll come home from the hospital to clean sheets.
Becca, I am thinking of you and your hubby as you prepare for travel to the big city and his surgery.
Michele, sorry to hear about your dragonfly.
Thank you for all the kind thoughts for Jake's surgery.
This is what I'll be doing a lot of in the hospital

This might help:
https://www.healthdirect.gov.au/vitamin-a
https://ods.od.nih.gov/factsheets/VitaminA-HealthProfessional/
And do be careful, especially if you decide to take a supplement. There are some serious side effects of consuming too much Vit A.
I take a Vit A supplement from time to time, but usually only for a week or two at a time, and then I go off for several months.

Barbie and Becca - safe travels and best wishes to your DH's for successful surgeries.
Terry - that necklace is stunning! So glad you were able to spend some time with your DD.
Janetr - Oh my word those eggs are adorable. Have you always been crafty and creative like that or is this a talent you nutured recently?
Regarding eating the same thing - that is pretty much me. Breakfast is just about always a scrambled egg with some type of green wilted in with it or chopped button mushrooms and a slice of Ezekial 4:9 sprouted grain toast. Lunch is leftovers or a bean salad of some type. Supper is always a huge salad of shredded cabbage, often with 1/2 avocado diced up in it. Sometimes add chopped broccoli if I have it. Then I normally pile something like a big spoonful of warm beef stew or Mexican food or whatever is in the fridge. Snacks - walnuts & berries mixed with whole milk organic yogurt and a spoonful of applesauce or hummus & carrots.
THAT is when I'm a good girl. It's good to always have favorite go-to foods around. And Becca said something last week that was very wise - don't think of what you shouldn't eat, think of what you CAN eat and look forward to that!
The allergist said we become allergic to the things we eat all the time. Well, I must be terribly allergic to cabbage then since I've eaten shredded cabbage salads for YEARS. Still crave them every day and the crunch. I've read too much cabbage is bad for the thyroid.
We had a warm day yesterday - up to 73! Allie and Terry and Karen in NY, I'll send it your way . It's 58 this morning and still in the lower 60's in some areas. Not ready for that warm of weather, lol. Got tomato seeds stuck into starter cups yesterday so spring must be around the corner - in a week as a matter of fact!
Busy day coming up, back to hitting the flooring places for more quotes this morning. Carol, thanks for the insight about Home Depot. We really would prefer to deal with a local company anyhow where the owner is also the installer and not work with subcontractors from who knows where.
Have a wonderful day, ladies! Hugs to all of you!!
