Thank you Mary. The party was at my husband's ex wife and her husband's house. It's always a bit uncomfortable for me but was well worth to be there for Olivia. The ex told my husband "not to die because he was her retirement". Just a little insight to this woman's nature. Oh my.

Wendy in the Lady pic it looks as though she's leaning into you just like a Rottweiler. Is she? Cuts on her face, from the fall into the trailer? "trust is ... undermined when they withhold information" well said! :noway: Misguided kind intent at best. Hope Machka will channel you when she reminds them she is her DH's voice and asks for those records. Belated Happy Birthday!

Yes Barbara you're right. Lady pressed her forehead into me seeking reassurance when that strange new thing happened and a human got on her back. I told her how wonderful she was and what a good girl and then it was all okay. Her pretty face was cut up when the ex-neighbour spent three hours trying to force her into a trailer. I will have to fix that traumatic experience in a little while and replace it with making the trailer her Happy Place. Meanwhile I am treating her cuts with zinc/emu oil. One is very close to her eye and she is lucky she wasn't blinded. I wish people would teach their horses how to load instead of trying to force them on when they are in a hurry to go somewhere. I wish people would get educated first before trying to work with horses. It would be far less traumatic for all parties and the world would be a better place. Okay, hopping off my bandwagon.

Oh I feel such sorrow for the loss of so many young lives in the Canadian Hockey tragedy. Sometimes you just have to ask Why Lord?

Janetr Oh gosh your husband's ex sounds like a piece of work.
That little Olivia is a beauty!. Oh my goodness, she is going to be a heartbreaker, isn't she? Is that what you looked like at 4?

Sue in WA Is W & R Waddell & Reed? I think there is a branch here in Virginia & they have a good reputation. I am interested in finding someone like Kim mentioned, that charges an annual fee rather than a commission on sales. Brokers, it seems to me, have a conflict of interests.

Lanette Yes, you accurately described basic Crocs. They have a lot of styles, but those garden clog style shoes are the originals and the least expensive. Like Beth, they were the cure for my plantar fasciitis, far better than Mephistopheles which cost 10 times as much and didn't feel nearly as cushy. You really can't wear orthotics with Crocs. I threw my orthotics away once I started wearing Crocs. I am NOT SUGGESTING that other people throw away their orthotics, LOL!!! Keep us posted about your CBD/THC experiment. I wonder if you put CBD oil on the bottoms of your feet if it would cure plantar fasciitis. "Walking On Clouds" LOL!

I think it was Mary who mentioned something about capital gains rules on your primary residence. It wasn't me.

Good morning all! Happy Monday! Busy weekend. The usual; grocery shopping, errand running, food prep, meal making and taking to the inlaws, house cleaned, paperwork started...and suddenly, here I am and it's Monday. Kind of an "ugh" feeling this morning. I woke up to a period! Can you believe it?! I haven't had one in well over a year and here it is again! Luckily, I had some supplies in my cupboard for when DD visits. But, just, Ugh! Not sure if it is because of that or because I am tired, or maybe because it is Monday; but I really wish I was small enough to just jump in my coffee cup and soak in the caffeine, warmth, and snooze a little longer in the java pool. On the upside, I weighed in and lost another two pounds! YIppee! So I am down to 228!

Welcome Michelle- We have a few ladies from down under who post regularly here and have found their own special spot in our hearts. Sounds like you are in a place you have been before and as you said; you CAN do this!

Janet- Olivia is adorable! I love that little side-glance she is giving the camera! She looks like she is up to something!

BArbara- The peanut sauce is pretty simple: 1/2 cup peanut butter, 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 1/2 cup soy sauce (reduced sodium), 1/4 cup brown sugar, five cloves of minced garlic and 1/4 cup lemon juice. I subbed yogurt for the mayo and it turned out fine. Whisk it all together until creamy and refrigerate for two hours to thicken. This makes a LOT of thai sauce (about two cups), but it keeps really well in the fridge and is tasty on raw veggies, too. My DH is not a veggie fan, but he will eat SOME veg if he has a dip.

Plantar fasciitis- I suffer from it now and again. Since I have gained more weight it has been a daily issue. I wear shoes in the house because of it. It does go away after I have dropped some weight, but in the meantime; YES! Roll a frozen bottle of water under your arches, roll a tennis ball under your arches, do foot, ankle, and calf strengthening exercises. Swimming helps. I used to go out and buy new shoes, but have instead bought arch supports like the ones Heather mentioned. Getting out of bed is the worst, though! I tend to hobble for the first few minutes of the day until my muscles stretch out and warm up and until I get my shoes on. The more active I am during the day, the less it bothers me.

Warm thoughts and prayers for strength for all who need them! Special hugs to Machka! ttfn xoxoxo KJ (Kelly)

Machka - I am glad to hear how you are doing in addition to how your hub is doing. It is strange, I was just explaining to my husband yesterday what the latest is with your hub. After your last update, I took things differently than others have. I took it as you just explained it, not that they were withholding vital information, but that they were working on the most serious injuries first and the others would come later. I am glad to hear that you are coping as well as can be expected, or even better it sounds like, with your present situation. Know that all of us are thinking of you both constantly.

My prayers continue to be with you, your hub and his team of specialists
