@margaretturk Those flower pics are beautiful! I cannot wait to see daffodils and hyacinths come up in our yard. I was just watching the Weather Channel and they are actually on site in Minneapolis (where I'm from originally and family still is) and it looks much like it does here. Does Mother Nature not understand it is mid-April?3

But, that is the reason why we are down here! My exercise is going well. I am starting to feel strong while swinging the 40 pound Kettlebell. I am slowly increasing the number of sets. I know that I will be using this one for quite a while. If you want a flat muscular stomach, tight buns and thighs, toned arms, and strong bones stick with the Kettlebell! Kate and Janetr can attest to that! Yeah ladies! I lost 6.2 pounds the last 2 weeks since prepping and starting my keto diet. My husband is now down 11 pounds. We have moved to a new lot site here at our RV resort. Since I am going to be teaching we moved over to the inside wall that has Internet and cable. We also get a view of the mountains out our back picture window. When we get finished setting up I will post pictures. Now it's time for me to do my kettle bell workout and take Shep for a walk. We will then go to the pool to enjoy swimming and sitting in the hot tub! This afternoon we have plans to go to the movie rampage. So much for do!
Here is a picture of Shep he is such a happy boy! He is two years and five months old now.
Have a great day everyone!

No flowers blooming in our yard yet. The birds and squirrels were trying so hard to get at the bird feeder. My DH shoveled a path from our deck to the birdfeeder and threw more seeds out. I think the robins are confused with the 50 mph gusts of wind and all this snow! We live in the white area of Green Bay...18-30 inches of snow. UGH.
Will try to pop in later. Hope you are all having a great day!
Yes it is just plain NASTY!!!!!
Need to see some flowers today!

I still walk in the morning wearing heavy leggings under my jeans, wool socks, warm boots, two cotton shirts and a sweatshirt, a heavy coat, and a wool hat. It is more like spring during the day with daffodils, hyacinths, and tulips blooming in our yard. But the drizzly cold weather makes working in the yard unpleasant. When I read about the weather in Minnesota and northern New York, I realize how fortunate we are here. When the Seattle Mariners played the Twins in Minnesota, I couldn't believe how cold it was at the baseball game.
Katla, isn't it satisfying to get things out of the kitchen that aren't being used. We did a lot of that when we moved into the house we are in a few years ago. It's easier to get rid of things when you're moving.
Heather, I'm not surprised that you are stressed. Moving all by itself is a stressful event. Besides that, you have your book to publish and the concern about how your sons will react. Keep staying in the moment and before long, you'll be waking up in the joyous environment of your new house and new neighborhood.
Pip, sending hugs to you and Kirby
Jake helped this afternoon by fixing lunch and then keeping the pets in another room while I ran the vacuum (and he made no "helpful" comments about how I could have done a better job.

Michelle: Good luck finding a brass cleaner you like. There seems to be quit a few choices.
Barbie: It sounds like Jake is quite a bit better. YAY!!! :flowerforyou:
Pip: We haven't seen your scarf yet. I'll let you know when we've put it back into the mail. (((hugs)))
Becca: You seem to be thriving. YAY!!!
(((BETTY ROC)))
(((Margaret))) Your weather looks extreme to me. I hope you stay warm, well and happy. Our backyard is water, too, but not frozen. We live on the banks of the Columbia River and it isn't anywhere near flood stage. Thank goodness!
I reorganized two of my kitchen cupboards today. Both look so much better! We put quite a few kitchen appliances out in the garage to be donated and added one or two in the house. The net result is cleaner counters & cupboards and newer, (hopefully) better appliances. Yay!!! (These are little appliances like food savers rather than stoves and refrigerators.)

Snowstorm Evelyn has now been upgraded to Blizzard Evelyn. Looks like tomorrow will be a day of decluttering closets, baking banana bread and working on my quilt. Or maybe a cup of hot tea, curled up with a good book? Sure wish we had a fireplace on nights like this!
Heather you sure do have a lot going on! Moving and publishing a book? I'm guessing it is your memoirs that you were working on? Sending you hugs and positive peaceful vibes from Wisconsin. I would be having panic attacks I think.
Mary in Arizona You sure did move in the right direction! Are you liking living in Arizona? My dad has a winter home in Mesa. He is returning to Minnesota next week (just a bit north of Brainerd).
Have a good night everyone!

Well my first vacuuming..... The outlets are huge, (older), so nothing like bending the prongs to keep the vacuum on! I swept the front porch, and so I wasn't a slug the whole day! The house came with a smaller vacuum, and I have that upstairs to do the bedroom, bsthroom, closet and vanity area. By the time I get all that done and work my way down the hallway, and stairs the vacuum should be emptied. Maybe I might enjoy cleaning this place!

I've been trying all week put a picture on here, i can't do from PC or tablet.
Doing well here, windy and cold today. It will freeze again tonight. We have quite a large wild fire out west of here. Last evening the air was dense with smoke and we could even smell it inside.
Love you my friends

Barbie – what great news about Jake!
Stopped at the church to pick up some donations. See, I was put on the schedule to get the donations NEXT weekend, but it was in the bulletin that it would be this weekend. So I just stopped and got what there was and if there’s any more, I’ll get it tomorrow when I’m supposed to go to be Eucharistic Minister.
Had dinner. Was pretty good, only I thought there was too much grease in the sauteed veges. At least they were fresh veges. Then went to go see the play Blue. It was a sell out. Really good show.
Kate – yes, Brasso is available here. Did your mom need to use a lot of elbow grease?
Janetr – Olivia is so adorable I could just squeeze her. How do you control yourself?
Guess I’d better get to bed.

Thank you, she is for sure a doll. She's a tiny little thing and our son, her Dad is 6'5" lol Olivia's dad's girlfriend is a photographer. She can't make enough yet to go full time but at this rate it may happen. She captured the perfect moment in this one for sure.

Oh my! It would seem I'm a blizzard!! I didn't even want to be a snowstorm! lol Seriously, hoping everybody weathers the storm without too much difficulty. Nasty weather some folks are having.....
Janetr, please don't ever apologize for posting pics of Olivia! She is just such a little cutie!
Katla, I grew up on the banks of the Columbia river! It never spilled over it's banks, it seeped through underground. Fortunately, it didn't happen all the time and I only remember one really bad year, but that was a REALLY bad year! Please be careful with those sockets, if the plug is loose it could cause electrical incidents, could be a shocking experience!
Well that's it for me for today, shower and bed are calling!

MICHELLE brass cleaning does need elbow grease but it is satisfying to see when it's done, even now I can't stand to see brass not polished you know in bars or restaurants. I don't have any now, wouldn't fit with decor.
Have a good Sunday

Still having trouble getting into the Food section of MFP. The Community bit is ok now. I've emailed them. I think it's a general problem. Not just me.
Going to attempt to sort out my cover today. DH is off to cricket. None of the template covers are quite right, but I'm not really up to doing a freestyle one.
Will go for a run after lunch if it isn't raining.

Morning, all...
Forced myself to stay in bed until 4 a.m. Central Time, but must have looked at my watch a dozen times in that hour or so. Still waking up at 4 a.m. Eastern!
Got here about 4 p.m. last night. The lady had sent me the wrong combination to the lockbox holding the key at the front door, so I put in an emergency call to their office number, left a message. But, me being me, I kept trying variations on what she'd sent me. Sure enough, she sent me 5911, and it was 5311. The "pop" when it let go was SO lovely. Took about 30 minutes to figure it out though. Good thing I did. She didn't call me back until 6:30, and then said she must have had a typo. Not terribly happy about that, but done and dusted now.
Anyway, we're in. Got the essentials in the house to make coffee, take showers, etc., everything out of the SUV and Corey's pickup. Only the panel trailer still to go. At that point, I went and got us some burgers (very virtuously eating mine with no bun, I might add ) and Corey got the futon put together. We took one look at it stretched out, and went to Walmart and got one of the 4-inch foam pads. I threw every blanket we had with us on top of that memory foam, dug out a pair of sheets, threw the last two on top, and slept like a baby. Corey's still sleeping, and hopefully will for another few hours.
As soon as I get a cup of coffee in me, it's back up to Wal-Mart I go, and get some shelf paper - other people's cooties in the kitchen make me twitchy, so it's mandatory--and so much easier when you do it BEFORE you put stuff in the kitchen. Won't be able to do the top shelves until I have my stepstool, but by that time, it will be light outside, and I can get the trailer open and shift the things I can manage into the garage, and find it!
Busy few days ahead. Egg's taken up residence in the sunroom, emerges every once in a while to complain about the house being the wrong house, and back she goes. She'll adjust, poor baby.
Love y'all...

Hi everyone
Here in OZ we are in Sunday evening. I have spent the weekend cleaning our rental that the tenants left in a mess. The property manager was on the phone saying it is fair wear and tear, but how can a dirty oven, dirty showers, cobwebs, dirty blinds, finger printed mirrors all be wear and tear. They left blue tack on the walls. I started cleaning that off and in the end, my husband decided that it was too much and we have had to get a painter in. Oh well at least we know the walls was perfect when the next tenant moves out (that is if we can get one). The tenant had a cat in and even though the carpets where cleaned professionally, when I went back into today, it smelt of cat urine.
I have written a long email to the property managers about all the things I had taken care of and what the tenant needs to have deducted out of his bond.
Not sure what to do about the property manager as she is young
Machla - My husband is a shift worker and was working during the time I was in ICU, so he could get time off to be with me when I was eventually allowed home to be home nursed. As you know when you are in ICU - only close relatives in, so the flexibility that the hospital allowed us it worked for us. I am glad the down time works for you as you need time for yourself as well. More importantly, I am glad your husband is slowly getting better.
To all those that are going to be hit by the weather - stay safe

Trish People can be so rough on rental property. I have never understood that. When I was a renter, I was paranoid about leaving things in pristine condition. I never had anything withheld from my deposit. It was always a source of stress, but I couldn't leave things in disarray for someone else to deal with.
When my mentally ill brother was moved into a facility, he had trashed his apartment. There were things that needed to be salvaged (some of his amazing artwork and some family treasures). Cleaning his apartment was one of the most disgusting experiences I have ever had. I was crying and gagging and cursing, LOL!!!. I worked for days to get it as clean as I could, but in the end, I had to give in and let the apartment management take over. They probably had to gut the place.
In my experience, the only thing you mentioned that isn't fair wear and tear is the ruined carpeting. (((Hugs)))

Hello all! Happy Sunday! Happy Sunday evening to those of you on the other side of the world! Woke up to snowy/icy roads. There is only about an inch or two covering the ground and roads, here. But, judging from the news this morning the roads are treacherous. Felt bad for DYS as he headed out the door to work this morning. Neighboring communities began losing power yesterday, so I brought up our emergency bin from the basement. The fact that I was prepared insures that we won't lose power. I think that is a law written somewhere.
Tracie in WI- I am waving to you! I see "me" on your map, across the lake and a little south. I always look at what is going on with all of you across the lake to see what kind of weather is headed our way. We won't get your snow, the water warms it up and turns it into slush or rain. Hang in there! Spring is coming! Found a nest of bunnies in my yard yesterday; as long as they stay put, they should be warm enough to weather the storm.
Janet- Oh my heart! The excitement on Olivia's face is priceless. What a cutie!
Well, my brain is fuzzy from very little sleep last night. Normally, that is not an issue for me; but had a friend contact me right before bed and our talk stuck in my head and kept me awake. Grrrr....nothing too distressing, just people, places and happenings from long ago entering my sleep and waking me up. blah.
Need to get busy with paperwork that I didn't get done yesterday. ttfn xoxoxo KJ (Kelly)

Janet your photographer is talented, but with such a precious girl, no wonder!!! That pic is a keeper!
Karen I had the same experience, clearing out my brother's place, when he was evicted (from my mother's home, long story) and it was a difficult difficult thing to do.
Everyone facing this difficult ice storm, blizzard, stay safe and warm, and INDOORS!
Feeling like it's about time I pull up my big girl pants, and walk myself out of this down mood I've been in lately, I've got choices and privileges and blessings, and it's time to flip the script that is running around my brain keeping me in this ridiculous funk (some would call it a pity party) that I've been stuck in. Checking in with you should keep me accountable.....It's okay if I feel a little blue, its not okay to be sedentary and overeat with no control.

I have submitted the cover for review. Fairly happy with it. There wasn't one that was 100% and this one doesn't have a subtitle space, but it will do. I've put the subtitle on the back. Can't get it all finally sorted until the company have checked it over. I feel strangely flat. Weird. Maybe I'll feel better when it's all done and dusted. I've been sooooooo long doing this.
A run will cheer me up.
