I’m absoluely blown away by the outstanding racing happening. The sisu in this group is just incredible.

Congrats to @garygse @7lenny7 @MNLittleFinn just today and all the rest and all the ones that I’ll miss my accident because you are all amazing and battling some stupdenous crap and putting in some fantastic performances despite all that.

Well done to all! Even the DNF’s because .5/3 in that *kitten* sounds absolutely horrible and finishing 2 laps is amazing in my book.

Now I need to learn how to run in not-freezing weather all over again. Or switch back to mornings. Even so it felt good to get out for a longer run again. Monday I start training for my June race as I figure the intermediatw 15K plan will also help my 10K times improve.

So, um, those of you who have lost a toenail due to running how long did it take to grow back? And did it cause problems with your running?

Also I just learned my husband has a phobia of missing toenails.

I figure I've only got a couple more days at most til that sucker falls off. *kitten* it up at my disastrous 10K five weeks ago.

@7lenny7 man that must have been a hard choice, but ultimately you need to make the right call for the time and place you are at. Sometimes that is taking the DNF.

Congratulations @garygse! Great race, PR and age group place! Impressive and not surprising given how well you've been training.

@7lenny7 - you accomplished a lot in that tough race and I am impressed. Sounds like you made the right choice for you today.

@MNLittleFinn I don't even know how to process what you accomplished. Congratulations on true endurance and having the training and willpower to get you through. Amazing. Can't wait to hear more about it. Hope you are recovering somewhere warm and taking extra good care of yourself after all that.

Welcome to the nasty runners “toenail” club. This is mine a month and a half after a half marathon wrecked my feet:

I tend to get blood blisters under my toenails after races. The toenails slowly grow back but they are thicker and wavy/warped. The ladies in my running group suggest painting them back on when they fall off. You can’t really tell when looking from a distance. ;)

Temps were in the 80s when I ran this afternoon, but I worked today to prepare for next week’s audit, so I had to forego my usually cooler Saturday morning run. I did get some extra protein, however, from the swarm of tiny bugs that flew into my face (and mouth) on the trail. :grimace:

@MNLittleFinn and @7lenny7, you guys are awesome!

    Only 15 people finished!!

That's really quite interesting that so few can do these things.

It seems like a lot of us were creeping on them at various points over the past 36 hours LOL. I know I was!
