I am fearful of the deep end of the swimming pool. Will be starting a swimming class tomorrow on overcoming fear of the deep end . Hope that I can accomplish this at the end of the 8 week session.

@12774 Don't be discouraged by the lack of progress. You had a great loss last year and we are only half way through this year. You will succeed. I have also been at a stand still in my weight loss. I refuse to give up. We can do it.

Take the swimming slow if you need to. I was a non swimmer before the age of 40. My husband was very patient and taught me the basics of floating and keeping my head above water. I lived in Hawaii! I had to be a swimmer! I slowly learned to snorkel and loved being in the water. However I was terrified of jumping in the water (I have fallen off the dock a couple of times). Last summer I practiced jumping in the pool. First with a life jacked. In August 2017 I swam with whale sharks! Jumped off the boat (no jacket) 3 times! I am 59.

@tammierlewis, thanks for the encouragement. My 1st class was held today but we did not go into the deep end , the instructor just checked out our skill level and I got the OK to proceed.I definitely think that I will succeed. Will keep posting.

    Goal weight: 125 #
    Last week: 150.2 #
    Current weight (7/6):  151.4 #
    Total Lost: 26.6 #
    This week: +1.2 #

    Successes:
-I switched to maintenance for our anniversary get-away weekend.
-I'm pleased about stepping up my running. The weather did help with some days without heat advisories. Running feels easier.
-I'm kinda taking a breather, but will get back to full force when my husband is on a work trip.

    Struggles:
-I'm still a little impatient. I'm also in between sizes. My previous few sizes are ridiculously loose / long & the next one is not quite totally comfy.
     - I have been experiencing more pain - mostly back pain and some headaches.
-Pain was constant for many years and chiropractic + regular massage + yoga truly brought it down.

06/18/18 265.6 +2.0 Ate within my macros but the weight loss has stalled. Not sure what is going on! At least I seem to be still losing inches.
06/25/18 261.8 -3.8 Extended family in town for a funeral so I spent all week eating out and eating meals prepared by others. I managed to eat ok anyway, I think.
