good news is i'll do at least 3 miles on sunday.
hot cider hustle 5k. cider, fleece, caramel apples.

maybe if the dogs destroy something i'll find the urge to get my shuffle on :astonished: .

@Avidkeo i would drive out there myself the morning off. i've left earlier than that to get to a race. i want my own bed. my own dogs.

@RespectTheKitty good luck on the run. i like longer runs more than short runs. makes the getting ready worth it

@avidkeo I would go for option 2 (drive to start), but (this is just me) I would be anxious that there wouldn't be enough parking. To alleviate that fear, I would probably wake up mega early and get there before most people. So that would defeat the advantage of sleeping at home. The night before a race I am a complete mess, so don't take any advice from me :s

@zdyb23456 wow 17 miles! Great job!

@Avidkeo I agree with those who advocate sleeping in your own bed. You probably won't sleep as well as usual due to excitement, but it will be better than sleeping in a strange place.
I also would recommend taking the bus. Enjoy the whole experience.

@Avidkeo - Rain Run!! YAY! If that is not an option four your husband to drop you off than I would go with option 2 and sleep in your own bed.

Definitely sleep in your own bed. What about Urber or Lift to the starting line? Then have husband pick you up at the finish?

Oh you Americans with oober and lift lol. They don't exist in our town haha. I don't even think we have taxis!

I think I'll park at the start line. I'm going to probably be 30 mins early so plenty of time to find a park, hydrate, relax then warm up haha

@Avidkeo AWESOME! Now I know why you ran so fast LOL.
I would go for option 3..... I mean the chances are you're not going to sleep much wherever you are, so I would go for convenience on the day personally. I've booked a hotel for the night before mine, and that's just an 8.30am start an hour's drive from home at the most. (Yeah, I'm a wimp AND I need lots of time and coffee to become human in the mornings).

I think if it were a hotel, I'd sleep easier than in my boss' home haha. but I get it totally.

@Avidkeo, definitely park at the start - there's limited parking, yes, but there are also next to no cars - almost everyone catches the bus. But I'd go for the extra sleep and your own bed (and breakfast, and routine) any day.

Thanks! I thought you would have a good sense of it. Lol.

@midwesterner85 Your edema is a symptom. The continued bradycardia and irregularity are a sign that you should be seeing your primary and at the very least obtaining an EKG for electrical issues and labwork for electrolyte issues. You should not be waiting until your next endocrinology appointment to get this checked. I understand that you may not be short of breath or feeling bad, but you should get checked out sooner rather than later nonetheless.

    @midwesterner85, this.

Yeah, if you can not get a drop off, and no Uber/Lyft option, then do this. I fully agree.
