Please join us! Starting on 01/23 JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS, we will begin Round 66
Anyone can join us at anytime during the round.
Join us! If we stay mindful we can do this, you can do this.
Welcome back past members, welcome new members, let's keep each other accountable for another 10 days!
Here is what you do: Post your daily weight and add little comments along the way of how your day went. Post everyday to let us know how you're doing! Copy and paste the days in your response--tell us how much you lost and other non scale victories (NSV) you'd like to share.
FOR NEWBIES - I find it easiest to copy the dates to a document or note in my device and edit it each morning. Then copy and paste to the message board. MFP will return you to the spot on the board where you left off on your previous visit which is nice to know if you like to scan all of the posts.

@shunggie When I was in college I found the ONLY patch of ice in a parking lot and managed to slip and fall. I said then that if there was a 6” ice patch in the midst of the football field, I would find it, slip and fall. No better with age but at least I don’t have to worry about ice patches very often in Las Vegas! It’s supposed to be 63 here today! The picture you posted looks so peaceful!10

Hi all I am excited about this challenge. It's just what I need.
This is my first round and second day of diet. I have been up and down with my weight for years. I have seriously got to get my weight down now because of health issues and I must KEEP it off!

@sunabove and all the newbies: Welcome to the best challenge on MFP. I just want you to know that much of what you are going through and will go through is exactly what many of us are experiencing so you are NOT ALONE in your goals, your thoughts, your needs, your health issues and your desires. I first decided to start on my weight loss & fitness journey to get healthier while in remission for breast cancer. I need a healthier me to fight this battle! I also desperately needed to lower my blood sugars (T2D) which were consistently running over 500 daily. I also wanted to inspire my Autistic son whose weight had become very dangerously high. I chose the Keto diet to avoid glucose from carbs in my system and burn fat instead. My cancer has remained in remission, they have taken over half of my diabetic medications away (so far) because of the improvements and they have lowered my thyroid meds because of my improvements. I am down 50 pounds for the year and I am wearing sizes I wore in my 20' (I'm nearly 59 now). I honestly haven't felt this good in years.
I just wanted you to know that weight loss is not linear so you will likely see some ups and downs. It is all part of your life's journey. You will see many successful smart people on this challenge mention that our new meal plans and fitness habits (whatever kinds you choose) are not a diet, but a lifestyle. It is so true. Indeed, in this life we will have those holidays, those social engagements (sometimes too many in a row) that will cause a drift upward on the scale. It is part of life. However, our lifestyle is to get over those humps and continue to live in the plans we've chose for ourselves that keep us fitter and healthier. The derailments are temporary but a part of all of our lifestyles. Forgive yourself and move on. MFP and logging all your food is also a part of your new lifestyle. It keeps you informed and accountable and very often, on track. We are here to support you, to teach and to learn. I hope you will read all the posts, use what you can and share what you can. Best wishes on your personal journey. I speak for many when I say we are very proud you chose to be with us. Thick & Thin, we're here for ya!

Goal this round: To get out of the 160’s or at least consistently not above 160. Right now even ½ lb. per round would seem great. This is the same goal as last round but I made it down .4 so will keep working from there. My short term goal is to be down at least 6 lb. by the end of March. That is just .8/Round but for me would be great progress.
Ultimate Goal Weight – 128; Hoping to be under 140 by end of June. (Not sure if this is possible for me but even well down in the 150’s would be better than where I am at now.

Last round I finally reached that elusive 140's decade that had been haunting/teasing me for the last couple of rounds. I hope to see a new low of 147/146 this round and continue to drop my 10 day average. I do have a 3 day family ski trip this weekend, so I am going to try and work around that and focus on my goals. I do not ski (not coordinated enough for that) but everybody else does. So I do a lot of reading, people watching, shopping, and drinking in the lodge. This round ends on a Friday, which is usually one of my lowest days of the week. So I am excited to see how this round goes.

01/23 -148.8 Back to normal after my weekend blip. Doing good today and have my lunch and water mapped out. DH and I have dinner plans with all 5 of our kids tonight. It is really hard to get everybody together anymore now that they are so busy with there own lives. We are going to Red Lobster so should be easy to stay in calories as long as I stay away from the rolls. 2 more days and we will be on vacation.
01/24 - 149.4 Up just a bit probably from dinner last night. I cheated and ate 1 of the roll (worth it), other than that did great. Work half day today, then my son has an orthodontist appt and my daughter has a cleaning at the dentist. Tonight packing and getting ready for out trip. Will weigh tomorrow, but the hubby said the scale is not coming with us, lol. So no weigh in after that until Monday. Hopefully it's not going to be to terrible.

ROUND 24 FOR ME.
“I DON’T STOP WHEN I’M TIRED - I STOP WHEN I’M DONE”
Goals:
Weight:
Short Term Goal: Lose 2 pounds this round.
First Long Term Weight Goal: To weigh 175 by Valentine’s Day 💗💗💗 I hope to achieve this by losing about 1.5 pounds per week (or 2 lbs per round).
My Second Long Term Weight Goal: To weigh 155 by my Birthday on May 10th by sticking to my plan to lose 1.5 pounds per week (or 2 lbs per round).
My third Long Term Weight Goal: To weigh 145 by the 4th of July using the same plan as above.
Exercise:
During each Weight goal I plan on increasing my walking (back to what I did when I was on a downward trend). I also want to increase my cardio and regularly use weights to help firm my flabby arms.

01/23 ..... 187.1.....This thing we always hear about it being hard to lose weight in the winter…. Well, they ain’t kiddin’ folks! It’s not just the holidays! It’s being stuck in during these snow storms & much much more. I’m eating my stress & emotions for sure as I’m stuck inside during this current 10” of snow. Going out to shovel again in a minute-I do love it like some of the other gal so it will help. The inspector yesterday was very nice. He took a ton of pictures (some I cringe a bit on). The full report will come from the insurance company in the next couple of weeks. It will contain all the pics & what they expect me to take care of. We’re always talking lots of $$$$. And what can I do in this weather? Not paint. Not roofing. Not cement repair. Ugggg. Ridiculous. Why don’t they come in the spring? Anyhoo, no dancing yesterday. LNS last night with emotional & stress eating. I am going to work much harder today on my mindset and plan. Lots of dancing in the works! Best of luck to all on this wonderful new round!
01/24 ..... 186.8 .....Yesterday was great. Right on plan. IF 18:6 Over six hours of sleep which is phenomenal for me! 21 Net Carbs. 1062 Calories. 16,231 steps. 6.93 miles of activity. 13/13 steps hours on fitbit. I danced 53 minutes (my son danced 39 of them with me!) Sample song: Beautiful Loser by Bob Segar. I usually do 10 or 11 songs working my way up in tempo to my peak song then back down but all are dancing beats of some type. I do everything from the twist to the Carleton and look like a fool. Lots of arm movement for the bat wings. Speaking of bat wings, maybe I should try the funky chicken lol. And no, I haven’t learned the floss dance yet, but my son said he would teach me! Anyway, I realized today that I am going to have to change my ticker if I don’t get back to my pre-Christmas weight soon, and I don’t want to do that, so I add that to my goals. Tonight is the potluck at the Pool Hall. I haven’t been in about 5 or maybe 6 weeks due to time constraints. I will try not to make it a food frenzy. I will eat something healthy & within plan before I go. I deserve a night out, but I also deserve to keep my ticker, so that will stay first & foremost on my mind.

@deepwoodslady speaks the truth, as always!
The only thing I would add is that it can take some experimentation to figure out what works. We're all so different. So don't despair if something you try isn't working. Give it a chance, then make changes as needed to make this a long-term sustainable life!8 -

@Roza42
I'm on an elimination diet too. I've been on it for 8 weeks now and while I feel so much better there are a lot of times when I am so over it. So far the only thing I've reintroduced was almonds and I found that I am sensitive to those too which is weird because I rarely ate almonds. I go back to the nutritionist in a little over a week and I'm hoping I get to reintroduce something else.7 -
@abowergirl and @BethE238 oh you two, thank you for your responses. You had me get all emotional. And then @deepwoodslady does her thing and gives us some wisdom and I'm sitting here shedding a tear over an MFP thread well, that only took a minute until I pictured Donna's dancing and I was laughing to myself. I had a sing along last night to an album I used to like, terrible 90s pop, I can't sing, but it felt great! Have a nice day/eve xx9

This is my lucky thirteenth round. The last round was good until the end...so I'm hoping for a better time this round. I may decide to reset my Mini-goals....rather than be frustrated for the next 5 months!! They looked pretty reasonable at the start of January.

About me: 62, 5'7", hit maintenance in March 2018 and, typical yoyo, currently bouncing back up over original goal weight of 130. Want to get back to 127-128.
Crept back to JGM10D quietly and somewhat inconsistently in Round 60 but now I am back (for reals!)
1/23 - 133.6 - yesterday (again) way over calories due to low-sleep-induced sugar, and way under step goal. Poor sleep leaves me depleted and with very sub-par ability to govern myself.
Today, however, is the start of a new round and time to remind myself that every day, every moment, is a new chance to choose.
1/24 - 134.4 - yesterday was pretty good, honestly a bit over maintenance but at least I logged and did not totally abandon sense. 5500 steps only though.
