Saturday - Rode Zwift. First attempt, my RPMs kept dropping to 0 and I couldn't get up any speed on the screen despite riding hard. Also the other cyclists and I were riding all over the place like we were all drunk. Stopped after a frustrating 20 minutes and started again. All good! Speeds normal, other cyclists normal.

Cardio - I love dancing and, much to my surprise, I also love my 5ks along the sea front. I only started jogging two years ago aged 68, but I do love it. I would like to do more dancing but my time is pretty full. We dance 3 or four times a day on our cruises.
We are at the grandkids house. Not going to Fatto, thank goodness, as my son has prepared a lasagne. I was going to share a pizza with DH as I still like to eat a proper dinner. I haven't weighed myself since before Christmas as I am too scared. Only 8-9 weeks until the cruise. I do feel a bit fat. I will have a sensible portion of lasagne.

Good Saturday!
Major leg cramps woke me up-ugh! More snow coming in, but only another inch or so.
Machka- I didn't say I dance well I just love it. I put on music at home and dance. I would love to learn ballroom. Husband has no rhythm and no desire. We have danced maybe 7 times including our wedding. At some point I would love to find an adult ballet class. I took ballet up to Pointe when I was a child along with tap. When I lived in the Philippines, I learned square dancing, round dancing,, and clogging. My ex is a square dance caller still. I still love to dance with everyone at weddings and parties. That reminds me of my first high school dance. I asked a friend how you get a guy to ask you to dance. She said sit on the bleachers and move with the music. After a few great songs, I got brave. I walked up to a group of guys and asked who wanted to dance! My friend was horrified! I ended up dancing all night with a great partner. I follow well. Lots of turns, flips, fun! He sucked as a boyfriend (has been married 4 times), but a great dancer.
I don't wanna go to work today It was so nice having last Saturday off. Today is Donovan's day though. He and my daughter are leaving around 11ish. We will pick up kiddos after work at 2. Yay!
Have a great day!
Hugs!
Congratulations!
Welcomes!

Karen in VA- Glad all is good for you!
HeatherUK- My husband is the same way! You would think they were 2 yo when we want to get away for a short time. Mine has almost quit picking fights before I leave. I think it is their way of missing us. 😘1 -
So Monday I weighed in at 128.3, yesterday the scale said 126.6, this morning at 124.8! That is exciting, but the only thing I have changed is making sure I get my water in and no white breads, pastas, cakes, cookies, candies, chocolate or alcohol. Hmmmm. Maybe something is working! Joints feeling better today too in spite of leg cramps.

Morning, I'm feeling fortunate that our downstate NY winter weather hasn't been overwhelming, just cold and wet this year so far. In upstate NY, Rachel is snowed in, she found out she was accepted to her first choice for graduate school (hooray) but is waiting for all offers to make her final decision, phew she is growing up! I started chatting with you ladies when she was graduating from High School! In fact, I was drawn to getting healthier to fit into a smaller dress size for her graduation among other reasons for taking care of myself. Looking back, I've managed to keep off the excess weight and hover around maintenance weight fairly consistently, in no small part due to the accountability and support from all of you wonderful folks. So for the next 100 days (her college graduation) I will reflect on setting new health goals, I'm inspired by all the activity, dancing, running, gardening etc that you all take up with great enjoyment.
My Saturday will include meal prep, laundry, decluttering and treadmill, exciting hmmm

I've never danced.
My parents didn't think it was appropriate when I was young and I was (and still am) very introverted so the idea of dancing with people watching didn't seem at all appealing anyway.
My first dance experience was at my high school grad. All the grads and partners were to gather in the middle of the gym, the lights would dim, the music would start and we were all supposed to do the first dance. My partner didn't know how to dance either so when we were herded into the middle, we hung toward the edge and when the lights dimmed, we just sidled away and left.
My first wedding had a short afternoon tea as the reception with no dancing. My second wedding's reception was at a restaurant. The 6 of us who attended had a nice meal and conversation.
In a "How to Teach Physical Education to Children" class in university, there was part of one class where we learned a small sort of aerobic/dance step pattern but I wouldn't really call it dancing.
There is a dance school nearby and my husband and I comment now and then that we should look into a very, very beginner course for us. But we haven't done anything about it.
Still ... it looks fun.

Line dance class
walking with a friend or with something audio to keep me company
Also riding my recumbent exercise bike
What attracted me to line dancing in a class was that it was something I could do alone in a group. There is no partner to worry about and since everyone is dancing, no one is watching and judging.6 -

JanerO I have the same issue of getting lost in a puzzle or a game. I now use a shortcut on my phone where I can say”Hey Siri I’m playing a game” and a timer is automatically set for 15 minutes. It sounds silly, but saying it out loud instead of typing it into my phone has made a world of difference. I even set it this morning for being on this app, as I have to work soon!6

Allie - writing a lot these days, which is good for my head, but not for here, so much... All the words are pouring out over there. I do read everyone's entries, and I'm sorry work is getting even worse. You're getting lots of good advice from all over, so just hugs, girlie.
Hugs to all who need them, kudos to those who've gotten wins both on the scales and off. For those who are into having something to center them, this is my background on both my computers right now, in order to keep myself centered and retrain that automatic connection between my temper and my mouth (or my typing fingers) to disconnect it as an ongoing habit:
Don't speak.
Don't email.
Don't walk away.
Don't react.
Delay with calm action.
Reframe.
Resume.
Love y'all,

Did a yoga DVD in the condo today. The plan for tomorrow is to do a walking DVD at the clubhouse.
Going to go to Merritt Island today to go to Michael’s. Hopefully, they have the yarn I need. I know that the Michael’s in NC carries it. You know, I really don’t like the Hobby Lobby here. They don’t have a whole lot. Well, I guess better than nothing.
Favorite cardio: probably HIIT since it burns the same number of calories in half the time.
Katla – I thought of you while I was doing the yoga DVD. Boy, was I getting warm! Good workout
Flea – have a great trip. How long will you be there for?
M – I would think a simple dance would be good for your hubby’s mind. As long as he doesn’t get too overwhelmed if he can’t do something. That’s why I suggest something simple, like a box step.
Sam – most times when I’m on here but I need to leave for an exercise class, I put a timer on to remind me when to leave. One time I totally forgot and by the time I remembered, the class had started.

Using Moms ziplock I inherited in the garage (going to use up on JR in school lunches someday) asked for cheese y pancake 🥞 mix for JR y hubby came home with a 10lb bag.JR ate 5lbs this week of pancake mix so 10lbs is nothing! This growth spurt turned his 2 sandwich 🥪 in one day a few snacks into a shark 🦈 tank feeding frenzy! Cheese 🧀 Hubby bought bulk so breaking it down. Won’t be buying it for awhile lol. Maybe....
Got Valentines flowers 💐 from Hubby they smell so nice! I have only gotten something for Valentines from a man or anyone (school my card box was always empty so I cried for Charlie Browns specials ..poor Charlie! )only For 5yrs of my life I’ve gotten something for Valentines Day (Hubby the only person not my Dad or my 1 Aunty card to ever get me anything). Gotta love ❤️ him. Probably cause we met on Valentine’s Day he asked me out on an online dating app (Christian Mingle had to weed out the losers) a few days before was my 1st ever Valentines date! (For a Woman who’s been married before just shows what jerks they were!)
