Matchka: Thank you for reminding me about carbon insoles. They have been inserted in my most of my shoes for years, and worked wonders for a case of plantar fasciitis. The break is on the bones on the outside of my foot, which is actually the fifth metatarsal (baby toe). The insoles, hard soled shoes, and orthopedic boot all work to help with healing. I just have tendency to overdue activities too soon, so keep re-injuring the delicate area. 😣Eventually, I will learn.
Katla: I am tickled to hear about your cat on a leash at your wedding. That is just so cool. Any pictures you can share?
Kate: My heart goes out to your brother. I hope his kids step up to provide respite and support to him. Until the day you can talk with him, send over a couple of lines of encouragement. I so appreciate it when friends and family let me know I am doing a good job, or just remind me to 'stay strong'. Hugs.
DH was agreeable to going to an afternoon movie. We saw Ford vs. Ferrari. I'm not sure he followed the story, but he could definitely enjoy the racing scenes. At one point, there was a surfboard shop in the background. DH worked in that shop when he was in his teens. 😎
Stay well friends. We can do this.

Good evening everyone. Today was my weekly weigh in and I have stayed the same since Feb.1, the scale hasn't moved. Well, I made it thru the week. Friday was no different than Sat. My son & wife has seen all of their nonsense and said nothing scares them. I told them I was ready to walk. TV is not going to be on right after school. They ate every piece of candy they got from school and then wouldn't eat supper. I'm taking the weekend off from doing anything.
Hope everyone has a great week ahead.

SuziQ - Your story about your husband's death has certainly touched me. So did yours, Karen, about your sister's birthday. It brings not only grief, but shock and undeserved guilt with it. It reminded me a bit of Joan Didion's memoir, The Year of Magical Thinking, which made a profound impression on me and was one of the spurs to writing my own memoir. For anyone who doesn't know her work, her husband died right in the middle of dinner, just sitting at the table, without her even noticing until she turned around.
It sounds as if you have made very good strides in finding some peace. Last night I slept alone in the marital bed because DH was in the next room trying out the harder mattress we have in there. I thought of all of you who have lost husbands. I felt fear.
Now I'm going to make him a morning cuppa.
(((HUGS))) to you.

Hello everyone.
Rant on promotion. Read at your own will.I think most of you will remember the story I shared about finally getting a promotion after almost five years of discussion with my manager. I finally put my foot down at the end of October and was told it will happen in November.
At the beginning of December my boss said the promotion was still coming, but due to open enrollment the HR department was backed up. She also said do not worry this is going to happen.
At the end of December sometime around the holidays she stopped by my desk and stated, I spoke with HR and I asked for your promotion to get completed in January.
Near the end of the first week of February I had to update her with several projects I had been working upon. At the end of the conversation I asked about the promotion. She proceeded to tell me that I must be patient. The paperwork is in process and is now at corporate. She almost made me feel like I was asking for something that was unusual. I held my tongue which at this point is becoming very difficult. I did very nicely state that during our last conversation I was informed the promotion would happen in January and I was just following up.
At that point she informed me it will occur when we get our reviews. Please note last year’s reviews for 2018 were not given to us until the end of April. So once again the promotion is being delayed over 6 months.
And, let’s face it. When one gets a promotion at the same time as one’s review it is just corporate’s way of saving money. I am sure I will hear the “oh, we got you this great jump in salary, but since it was so great your review will result in less money”. It happened the last time I was promoted and I am sure it will happen this time.
I do really like my boss. She is one of the better ones over the years. The company I work for is relatively good and the working environment is not horrible. I am overall happy there and the work is still challenging and I continue to learn new things.
But, I will say I am getting so tired of working and dealing with the politics and general BS. I cannot wait until I can take SS which is planned to be taken as soon as I can. The same thing with the pension I will receive. I will probably still work, but it will be a hobby!
It’s just crazy. I have been leading the team for over 5 years now and the promotion is still being delayed. To say I feel taken advantage of is an understatement. It is getting closer, but how long is a person supposed to wait?
For those of you who have read - thank you. I really needed to dump these toxic thoughts and just move on.
I have an idea how you feel.- Gov't job.
- Promised a temp promotion 15 months ago.
- Recently told it probably won't go through after all.
- Now a bit of a job shake-up in our area.
- May be a position coming up soon that would be an actual promotion and although it should be coming to me because I've been doing the work, it looks to me like they've started grooming someone else for it.
- For the first time in the 6.5 years I've been working here, I'm starting to think I might be able to do better.
I'm not going to rush into anything ... maybe things will sort themselves out ... and I really want to finish my Master's first.
I don't have a Linked In profile yet, but maybe once I graduate ...

Good Morning, all. There's a bit of a lull in the storm this morning as it's centre passes over. No major problems where we live, but there has been considerable flooding elsewhere.
Michele: Safe travels. How long is the journey home?
Rori: We savour these moments of relative normality. I have lost several family members to dimentia. Currently have a dear friend who is in a similar position with her DH. It's tragic to see how it affects the lives of everyone who knows them. We do our best to be there for them, but cannot walk in their shoes. (((Hugs)))
Heather: At our age, death is an ever present worry. But I choose not to dwell on it too much. I have a very fatalistic view on life. Things will happen whether I worry about them or not, so why waste my time and energy angsting over what lies ahead. I give thanks every morning when I wake up, and endeavour to make the most of whatever turns up.
Enough navel gazing! 😂 Must get up and make the most of the sunshine. After lunch we will go on our usual Sunday outing to visit DED and grandsons. And I still have a story/poem to write for tomorrow morning on the prompt I gave to the Creative Writing Group.

"Todo"s and "done"Done: make rum glaze for mini pound cakes, dog group, prep hospitality veggies, steak dinner for Joe.
Bonus: 40 mins beach walk with Joe and the dogs.
ToDo: church hospitality and council meeting, invest 10 mins cleaning Kitchen/Laundry, carry over 10 mins cleaning Office, Master & Guest Bds, Master Bth, dip and, follow up for DEXA scan appt, install iCloud for Win 10, Freddie’s for complete series TDAP <$48, bake bran muffins, call Carolyn D. Next week Shadow to Mini Pet Mart to shop for crate, get Shingrix vaccine. Reward: inventory seeds, plan garden, order replenishments.
Lisa ditto what Karen in VA and Tracey said about the sarcastic greeting cards. There IS a market there Brilliant re-framing! Feel there is also a market for that gift/skill, if not in greeting cards, then perhaps posters or encouraging gift items?
Flea likewise ditto Karen in VA’s “timely” comment and Machka’s recommendation to talk to a lawyer. See your DH has spoken with Lawyers, were they Utah licensed? Seems like there are significant difference in the states’ definitions of “estate” when it comes to Medicaid cost recovery.
Karen in VA what telling photos, both the swim meet prep, but especially the first meeting with Liliana.
Kate in UK ((hugs)) so hard to be far away and unable to have a private to with your brother. Is there a community center nearby he could take her for an afternoon’s respite, then meet or call you? Likely he really needs someone to give him the gift of listening first.
Katla happy anniversary, such a romantic wedding! High water mark on the fireplace? :noway: Say “Hi” to Arrow for us.
Pip “touchy gas pedal” on forever beast, somehow sounds just like you Does it talk to you in a bossy tone like my car does?
SuziQ for your loss, tho’ Heather said it better. Thanks for your wise words to Flea. Boy, howdy! does your promotion story ring true. I am SO happy to be out of the corporate politics and BS. Really hoping your title comes through before the borrowed time expires.
Beth so good to see your smiling face!
Tracey what an interesting bitter cucumber cure! Find the seasonally available Persian and English (soft skinned) cucumbers sweeter, than the waxy skinned ones available year round. That reminds me, time to order more beit alpha cucumber seeds, an F1 hybrid so saving seeds year to year won’t work.
Welcome Ani in Toronto!
Rebecca your cooking makes my mouth water, and your Athena Rose with her Papa makes my heart happy.
Janet in Tx sounds like a workable solution to me. Well done.
Machka any progress on the online course front? Hoping that bit of good could come out of the coronavirus tragedy.
Rori smiling to hear of your DH enjoying Ford vs Ferrari. Did your DH recognize the surfboard shop in the movie, or did you just know?
Marianne sounds horrible, like your son and DIL need help rearing their children. Are there any community counseling services in their area? At 6 and 9 if nothing changes, their behavior will worsen and they will get into real real trouble. Congratulations on keeping weight steady despite stress!
Terri “give thanks every morning when I wake up” Amen, sister, amen! Then give thanks for Joe, the pooches, everyone who I’ve ever loved or whoever has loved me, this beautiful place we live in… and indoor plumbing

Hello to all of you very fine women.
I hope everyone enjoyed or is enjoying their Sunday. I went to bed way too early and was up and down all evening. I finally got out of bed at 5 am and have enjoyed the peace and quiet. It appears like it’s going to be another cloudy day which does not help my motivation to get up and go. The plan was to clean up the courtyard – it is in desperate need of a heavy duty scrub – but everything is wet and soggy due to 24-hour off and on rain showers.
Machka – I certainly admire your dedication to completing your degree. I also worked full time during my college years. My long-term degree was my Associates. It took almost seven years! Once I completed it I decided to go in to high gear and just get it done. Here in the States almost every college has night, weekend, day, and online courses so it’s much easier to take on a full load of classes. I had switched jobs right before completing my Bachelors and the new company would pay 100% of job-related courses (less taxes because it is considered compensation). When I started the company did not require any type of post-graduation work (working for a period of time after graduation). I had heard rumors the policy was going to change. Since there was full reimbursement I found a private college that offered an every other weekend program. I attended classes Friday nights and all day Saturday every other weekend while working on my Masters. I hear and understand your frustration at work. Our situations are somewhat different, especially in sectors, but amount to the same thing. Like you, I know I can do better elsewhere but for financial and personal reasons will stay for a while longer.
Allie – I am so looking forward to your vacation! Please take lots of pictures. I think we all cannot wait to see them!!
Katla – So sorry about the typo!!! Thanks for the story of your moniker. In my youth most of the family would call me SuziQ – especially my mom. When I say it in my head I can still hear her voice and feel her love.
Tracey – I know I am not alone with my working trials. And, it’s sad to hear it is happening all around the world. Corporate greed – enough said. I hope the grocery expedition was not too difficult!
Ginny – Like your youngest son I am practicing patience. For personal and financial reasons I am staying put for now. I would love to be able to say what is exactly on my mind but I know by doing so I would probably be let go the same day.
Karen – There is quite a bit more to Charlie’s passing in that house and for a time I felt the situation and the house were like the last scene in “Carrie”. Charlie’s mother was one who loved way too hard and would not let go. Both of her parents died in the house. Years later her husband passed tragically (a fall from a skyscraper he was inspecting) while he was in the hospital dying she attempted to get them to move him so he could be at home. The hospital refused and he passed hours later. A few years later Charlie’s brother had gotten extremely sick. She would not call an ambulance because she felt she would get him well. He also ended up passing in the house. After the deaths of her husband and son she became somewhat reclusive and would fall in to depression weeks before every death anniversary. Charlie and his mom had a regular call scheduled. If she did not answer he would go in to a panic. Because of “her rules” he was not allowed to call in for a wellness check. Over the years she would not answer the phone for days and each and every time Charlie would worry himself sick. The last time she did not answer I had a funny feeling all was not well. After a few days I finally said, enough, call for a wellness check. We found she has passed in her sleep the night before the scheduled call. Fast forward six months later and he was there taking care of things and on his final night there he passed. I know this is going to sound very strange, but I swear she could not part with him. I know – very weird, but to this day……… It sounds like your partner and I have had the same experiences. I also have a funny feeling we both like our curse words – oh, how I would love to walk in to some offices and just go off. But, as with most, need the job. If I ever hit the lottery…watch out….LOL!
Heather – I think some of us are eat to live and others are live to eat. It sounds like your husband is an eat to live type. It amazes me how many can just forget about eating. Thank you for your kind words about Charlie. Even being 1000 miles away I knew something was wrong. In the beginning I often had thoughts in my head about the fact that I was not there, what if I called emergency services, etc. Due to our age gap I knew he may pass before me but I never expected to be a widow at 45. I believe when our time is up – it is up. This belief helped me put things in to perspective. Please do not feel fear – continue to enjoy DH and all of the wonderful times and memories you two are building. My last words to Charlie were I love you and I am always thankful for the time we shared. OK, tears are starting so I must stop here.
Janet TX – Churros and ice cream! Yum. A new snow cone business is opening in the shopping center nearest to me (I can actually walk there) and I am looking forward to having one. It will bring childhood memories back. My plan is to walk there when the time comes!
Flea – Your husband is a very lucky man. There is simply something different about a son and mother’s relationship which causes so much emotion/turmoil it is very difficult for them. In the end I walked away from Charlie’s mom’s house because of his children. They wanted to “take care of it” but since it was too much work just walked away. There was no call to me about their decision. I found out when the legal papers started coming in. At that point I decided to let the State do its thing. It was not worth the legal expense and stress.
Michelle – Believe me the hairdresser will know what your original hair color is if you let it grow out a little and can ease you back to your now natural color. Yes, your memory serves you well, I am in Broward County at the Palm Beach County line. Have a great time at NASCAR!!!!! I loved my Daytona experience.
Marianne – Wow, you have a challenge on your hands. I cannot help but think your DS and DDIL need to step up their parenting game. Seeing nonsense and not doing anything about it basically tells your GC their behavior is acceptable.
Barbara – I hope the title comes through too. I predict we have approximately 3-5 years until we are totally dismantled. If we do last that long it will be perfect timing for me. I have been wanting to relocate out of Florida. With the severance I would receive and the sale of my home it would put me in just the right place. With a little bit of luck and good fortune it will be a blessing.
All – Thank you for being such a supportive group! I am extremely happy I have found you.
Off to the races for me. Time is clicking away and I must complete my weekly meal planning and get in 6000+ steps in today.
Hugs to all.

Did a pilates DVD. The plan for tomorrow (if we don’t have to go back to Daytona) is to take the Next Level class.
Vince keeps saying how the weather isn't looking good for today, but given that daytona has lights, they may have rain delays but my bet is that the race will be run. Have my phone all ready to take pictures
Terri – it’ll take about 10 hours to get home, but we don’t leave for 3 more weeks. Of course, in 3 weeks I’ll be mega-sad.
Allie – I understand having our pets in our will. We have it stipulated that our cats are to remain together and go to Jess. Being a vet (hopefully at the time we pass), we’re sure she’ll take good care of them.
For whatever reason, my alarm didn’t go off today. But I got up early anyway and had time to do the DVD.
There is a launch scheduled for about 10 tomorrow morning. Unfortunately, from the launch pad where it’s taking off we can’t see the takeoff but we will be able to see it once it’s in the air. I’m going to try to get home from exercise in time to see it.
SuziQ – how horrible!
Marianne – (((hugs to you)))). Your son and DIL really need parenting classes.
Well, we need to leave in about ½ hr. Will be thinking of you all.
Michele who is off to Daytona again

Good morning!
Successful Saturday off work (at least got husband's tasks done). Very relaxing. Went to dinner with friends followed by shopping. I think I am in love with TJ MAXX! I love spending time with this couple too. They are good for us! I was showing my husband what I bought. His reply was very nice. A few minutes later he came back in and said, you do know that purses, shoes, and clothes don't excite me, right? My reply....I know that, but I love when you take time to look and comment anyway!
My maid (me) has been slacking in laundry. So today is laundry, shampoo carpets, and some paperwork. Need to figure out a routine for mornings too. Just feeling very relaxed this morning.
Rori- We also loved Ford v Ferrari. My husband couldn't really see individual faces, but enjoyed the movie. He spoke my love language again by doing something new with me.
Allie- Nothing wrong with having your ducks in a row for your peace of mind. My duckies would just be swimming in all directions.....squirrel!
Ginny- I am in Bellbrook, work in Centerville. My travel circle tends to stay small only because I work 50 hrs a week. Maybe one of these days we can meet up?
Marianne- I agree with many of these ladies comments. Those children are screaming for order and responsibility. Shame on the parents for not doing their job. My grands called me grumpy granny while growing up. There were certain rules that don't get broken! To this day, they follow those rules so that our time together is pleasant. My oldest granddaughter is a teenager. She popped that attitude with me only once. I looked at her and said oh NO! I was a teenager, raised two daughters through teenage years, WON'T put up with attitude! Every so often it tries to pop up and you can see her attitude change quickly! They are all good kids. Time out only works if you are quiet, diligent, and consistent. My youngest grandson was a handful for his mom, but after 2 days of spending time facing a corner away from the action, he was much better behaved. He even put himself in timeout once when bad behavior popped up. 😎 If parents won't help then at your house, you make the rules. My suggestion is figure out 3-4 important rules for you. Write them down along with consequences you can live with. At 6 and 9, you could still do a form of time out (a room with no toys and no electronics and a door to close). My sister used cleaning tasks as discipline, ie if the boys were fighting with each other they had to wash walls or clean baseboards. Also list rewards for following rules, ie a board game or baking cookies. You shouldn't have to parent, but you also shouldn't be treated with disrespect. HUGS!
PIP- LOVE IT!
SuziQ- I think that house was bad mojo. So sorry for your loss! Thankful that your last words were love.
Terri- Being thankful for every day! I believe our days are numbered as well, so I try (I said try) to make each day count!
There was probably more, but my dog needs fed, laundry needs started, carpets aren't cleaning themselves either.
Hugs to All (cause who can't use a daily hug)
Congratulations on all of our journeys, scale victories and NSVs!
Thankful for y'all every day!
Machka I am going to screen shot your instructions. Tablet harder than laptop, but more convenient. 😄
Kylia in Ohio hoping the sun shines some more today6 -
It's Sunday, ladies!
SuziQ - Eerie story indeed about your DH and his mom and others passing in that house. Don't blame you for being done with it. Bummer about the promotion, but if the business indeed folds when you are ready to retire and you get severance, that's a plus. After I retired I relived, for a while, the raw deals I got my final working years. I actually did resort to some blue language when called in by the lunatic director and chastised for something I didn't do. (He rattled his brains and broke his neck in a mountain bike accident - took a header - I found out later that he pulled this bizarre behavior on others.) I know I was well respected and considered a valued employee there. Anyhow, I put in for my retirement (state retirement system here) shortly thereafter as I was a few months from 65 and now, each month when my pension check arrives, the memories of that place fade more and more, .
Where would you like to move when you do eventually retire?
Karen in VA - I had to laugh about diverticulosis not being a topic at your family reunions. You obviously weren't a member of my family. As a kid, I was fascinated to hear my grandparents and their siblings compare notes on their bowel function, bladder problems, Uncle Albert's "prostrate" and the like. Wish I would have listened better. And my paternal grandmother who lived on the neighboring farm seemed to dwell a lot on the state of our bowels. If we were feeling sickly...."did you move your bowels today?" Was this an omen?
Rebecca - no worries about temporary weight gain, my dear. It's heartening to see photos and hear stories of IF'ers doing OMAD and only losing a few pounds according to that rotten scale yet shrinking many clothing sizes and getting many health benefits in the DDD group. The number on the scale isn't always a good reflection of what's going on. Your meals sound scrumptious.
Pip - like your new rig! I agree, too many bells and whistles. My DH's truck is like that, you have to hold your mouth right or else some alarm goes off or it won't start or some pain in the tush feature. That's the main reason we intend to drive my 2008 Subaru Forester and DH's 2007 Camry until their wheels fall off. And when that time comes I'll look for a restored '67 Mustang and change my own damn oil!
Hugs to Marianne and Kate and any others of you dealing with family and health challenges.
Make it a good day.

Morning, afternoon and evening, my peeps,
SuziQ, thank you for the story of your husband's passing. I can absolutely see why you walked away from the house.
On the thought of husbands, all the individual stories make me very glad I married a man who's nine years younger. I'm well aware that accidents and disease do not respect age, but there's comfort in knowing he's healthy after recent insurance physical. And, in fact, during that physical his blood pressure was normal for the first time since I met him--he's always been borderline high blood pressure, but that has finally subsided now that he's 50. We have no idea why.
JanetR in OK, We haven't seen you in a bit, and hoping things turned out well for your daughter. We worry, you know.
Kylia, am in maid-mode myself today.
And, to remind me of that, the dryer just buzzed.
Later, y'all,
Lisa in AR3 -
Pip Yogi – such a Sweetie! Love his shiny coat!
Debby DD and GS picture from Christmas…so cute!
Amber DD is so sweet taking care of “little” bro JR!
Lisa Wondering what your sarcastic card suggestions were. I bet I would like them! I always wondered what others do for cards to the awkward people in our lives. I never found cards that were fitting. “To Dad who was inappropriate with me” or “To the Stepmother Who Never Loved Me” …lol. They always said wonderful things that were so far off!! LOL…I just read the one you quoted…I would by that in a heartbeat!
Rebecca Love the Athena Valentine!! Congrats on the weight loss!! My GD loves Daddy’s beard. He’s one of those who uses all the current special oils, etc. for his beard. Glad he takes good care of it to keep it soft and sweet smelling…lol!
Michele I, too, tend to take store bought food when we go to church meals or whatever. I don’t consider myself that good of a cook, plus it is already packaged for easy carry and people know what to expect. Also, I tend to be sad when I make things from scratch and people don’t take it. When I was younger, I used to make everything myself.
Pip I’m impressed your Suburban is so clean! I can’t keep our vehicles nice like that…there is always dirt around the doors, etc. We have a lot of red clay here. Is your new vehicle a Highlander? We recently got a Rav4 and I love it!!
Husband deaths For all of you who are widows, I can’t imagine how hard it is. I totally dread the idea of DH passing. I really hope I go first. He would be fine without me. I would be a mess!!
Amber Glad your friend is joining us! How old were you when you had JR? I was only 38 with my youngest, but the doctors wouldn’t shut up about my “advanced maternal age”. Drove me nuts! I had a 12-year spread from youngest to oldest – one graduated kindergarten the year the other graduated high school.
Kate I didn’t see a need for a spoiler! You didn’t write a lot and it wasn’t offensive. Dementia runs in my family. I was diagnosed early onset after my accident, but I think it was misdiagnosed because they were confused by the brain injury. It has improved, although I still grasp for words and get lost easily – especially when I am tired.
Karen Such sweet pictures of the Grands! Older GD is so good with little Lilliana!
Terri Thank you so much for the map!! I love having the visual! Especially like that you pointed out where you and Heather are located. I need to look back, I think Kate and Viv are both over there, too. Anyone else?? I’ve never travelled across the Atlantic and always love the documentaries there – such pretty country! My Aunt and Uncle lived in England most of my life, but the family never went to visit. In school, we studied Canada, USA, and Central and South America, but the rest of the world was really a mystery. I had a beautiful globe which I looked at, but a lot of countries have changed names and boarders, so even that would no longer be accurate.
SuzyQ Sorry to read about your work situation. I never gelled well with the corporate world. I guess because I don’t tolerate people as well as I should. It drove me crazy having to document everything in a CYA file. I expected people to know my character and believe what I said. Also, since most of my career was as a musician, we didn’t live in a “normal” world. Same with working as a massage therapist and esthetician.
Luci in WNC getting closer to catching up. Maybe later today…

Kylia,
Yes, very bad mojo. I'm glad I never went back there. Even after Charlie's death. I have no regrets as I wanted to remember him in life not as a shell. I know some need the rituals. I thank G we knew what each wanted and felt the same way. Some were actually mad there was no viewing or obituary (not necessary in FL).
Those who knew him best had a celebration of life. It was sweet and endearing. All of the English department, Charlie was an English professor, wrote a section of a story about him and their relationship.
If I'm ever in South Orange NJ, I may do a drive by for complete acceptance.
Wow, you get things done during your time off. Do you ever take a me day?2 -
Lynette,
I have been researching Tennessee and the Carolinas. I miss the mountains and forests. I do not mind a little cold weather. I know I certainly do not want 6 months of cold!
I think there is a story behind the piece of property going back many generations. It was an area with a large Native American population. Our history with the Natve Americans is not a good one so I think it's an area of many unsettled souls. Although when we visited I always felt comfortable but also felt the area had very deep roots. I haven't had the heart to deeply research.
I'm glad with each check your memories of your working life are fading. Im working upon letting things go now and just moving forward. It's a means to an end.
I am driving a 2003 Sante Fe and really do not want a new car for many reasons most of all I like to drive a car, not have a car drive me. But, reliability is becoming an issue so I will eventually have to retire Betsy the Beast as she is affectionately known.3 -

In 2004 my husband was diagnosed with a long list of heart ailments that sounded really scary. For months, I'd check on him every morning when I woke up or after walking dogs if he was still asleep. I stood over him to be sure he was still alive. Finally I realized that I was powerless and that I needed to just let life happen. Now I just stay in the moment and enjoy everything that happens every day. Every day on the top side of the grass is a good one. I've learned from some of you and from some of my line dance friends, that it is possible to keep on going after the death of one's husband. It's important to realize that none of us gets out of this alive.
I write in a gratitude journal every day. Sometimes I write things that are inspired by what is going on in the lives of others. I don't want to take all my good fortune for granted (indoor plumbing, electricity, a working garage door, the internet, clear skies, health, mobility, etc.)
Dogs are staring at me reminding me that I have all the necessary ingredients to take them for another walk.

SuziQ - Oh, I love beetroot, but it is the one vegetable DH doesn't like. He hates it. I think he was force fed pickled beetroot as a child. I eat it less often than I would like, but do smuggle it in occasionally.
Edie has just left. I'm knackered!!!!! What a force field! I adore her, but it's full on.
First we did Art Competition and I won two first prizes. She was the judge. She told me "You tried very hard with the details".
Then we did Charades - for ages!
Then we played 5 Second Rule. What energy!
Atta gurl!!!!
Looking forward to a relaxing evening. Oouuff!!!
The drawing competition and the very strict judge.

Lighter, lovelies!

Maybe later today…
it's a Toyota Sequoia 2013 platinum edition. I guess it was the best one they had for that year. I've never had hands free calling (on the phone) and a lot of the other stuff that it has. some of the crap I may not ever use cuz I won't know I have it. the back seat has a console in the middle and the 3rd row seats are electric (but we'll never use them). I will be trying different ways to see what works best for taking yogi with us and try to keep that sand color carpet clean. it came with weather tech mats already. we bought those mats for the old beast so the new owners will have them too. the new owner of the old beast will also get a remote starter that we had bought for it. not getting it for this one right away., we'll c4 -
well it is just past 12 now... and I am just back from running errands with Trudy.. what a hoot,
