Don't mind me in adding some of you as friends on here. I was looking on my friends list, and it looked quite sad. Hence to why I have been adding.💖. If I am not on your friends list add me.💖👍

low on baking items-Well made pitiful brownies but JR loved them y hubby ate but made fun of them compared them to pudding y jello having a baby. Made a 2nd batch better ingredients Hubby liked them but JR said Yucky lol 😂. I can’t win with these two men!
Yes tired of the lockdown too but even if it ends I still must do this for Our safety. JRs so young y I’m too sickly so another day for us will be like this until a cure y vaccine 💉

Heehee! I am so not random!😁
Question. How do you post videos on here? I try to but it says the format not allowed. I guess if I had a computer I could drag and drop, but I have a Fire tablet.

ah! lost part of my post!
@karen i'd go for the steel kettle to have less cleaning for hard water stains.
@finding a balance between good news and bad. Sometimes on social media even now some people only post the good. others only the dark. a balance would seem more relatable to me.
@Janet happy anniversary!
@exermom 7 people ahead of you is not too bad these days.
@Heather nice face drawing
@Katla wow for parades taking place! Sounds like a good time for knitting.
@Amber bakeries and chocolate shops are open here, considered "essential". on the chocolate shop it says in case of emergency call this number...
@Machka 5 weeks alone w no walking is rough. it must have been nice to have the homecare nurse visit. i had a bug after a trip to india and i managed to have some kind of visit 1x every 2 days or so.
@Suzi thanks for your warning thoughts.
@Barbara, that sounds terrible about watching the scary movies
@Lisa news can be so upsetting these days, both the truth of it in many cases, and also the incomplete news. Don't get me started about news here. Very unusual about paper copy required. That's major about some others supporting operation costs. You've probably seen it but worldometer gives a lot of (reported) statistics daily including how many cases per million, how many people tested per million etc. Not all is counted neither in the USA nor in France. I find that very upsetting.
@Class system all over the world. The culture minister was one of the first well-known people here tested positive, but he was not very sick, whereas France is very low in terms of testing per capita.
@Rita i'm sorry about how you are feeling.
NEWS
i check worldometer daily. clicking on country it refers to sources usually.
there's a french daily update done by young guy (looks about 20) that is really good. he gives main daily info in about 7 minutes and now finishes with a funny meme to lighten up, it's called hugo décrypte. for anyone who understands French. it's pretty fast and is also about national news and laws also. i suppose he would put on subtitles if people asked for it. Trevor Noah is hit and miss and sometimes has new and pertinent interviews.4 -

She was only there about 15 minutes, but yes, it was nice. It seems to me that after a while, as the burn started to heal, she started coming every other day.

This appeared in my FB memories from 7 years ago:
Just now, there was an ad on TV for Hungry Jacks (Hungry Jacks is more or less the same as Burger King). When was the last time you had a meal at a fast food chain?
It has been a little while for us ... at least a month. There are no fast food chains in our town ... the nearest one is about 65 km away.
But I have to say ... that hamburger on TV did look good!
It got me to thinking when the last time was that I went for fast food.
It's probably been about two years since I've gone to a "burger" fast food place. Occasionally I miss it, but not often.
If we go for "fast food" it's usually Subway or Zambreros.

News
I get at least one email each day in my work inbox ... often several as the discussion about changes related to COVID-19 go on.
I check ABC news a couple times a day.
Once in a while I look at the WHO site or Worldometer site.
And I get Australian Department of Health messages in my FB feed.
But there hasn't been much new news (aside from the northern part of the state closing up), so there's no point having the news on all the time or gluing myself to the news somehow. It's not like they're going to suddenly announce it's all over or something.

I had fever and was vomiting the other night. Like food poisoning or stomach flu. 1) Felt feverish, mild fever, very thirsty 2) vomited up lunch, dinner, water 3) fever went up a bit, couldn't hold more than a spoonful or two of water down 4) fever lower was able to drink coconut water, herb tea 5) Fever gone able to eat apple sauce and toast.
It seems like a usual thing but it's so scary. i did online consultation (very easy to get because doctor's appointments are cancelled for the most part) and the dr said to be aware, because nausea can be a forebearer of COVID with serious symptoms 7-10 days later, and it can get bad very quickly. But then again it could NOT be that. Or I could have a relatively mild case.
Not reassuring and it could just be food poisoning or stomach flu. i got an item from a good bakery maybe last sunday that seemed less good quality than usual. i wonder if they could have old stock. i realized the cashiers at the bakers don't have masks so decided that was the end of that until they do. i slept all day on day 1. it lasted just about 36h. and then rested day 2. (still had the runs).
My feeling is the usual: it's probably ok and not the dramatic version, BUT i don't know. It seems to be the common feeling. i have several friends and students who have had non serious cases of COVID: 2 close friends. Here they only test you if you are having serious trouble breathing, if you are over 70 w symptoms or if you are a healthcare worker.
NEWS: confinement lasts until AT LEAST 11 May in France, and will surely not suddenly stop for everyone if anyone at that time. For example they said florists and hairdressers (????) may open but not movies, sports places, etc. The president of France again claims it's not useful to test everyone, after weeks of silence. (France seems unable to get access to tests, or to produce them= same for masks). France are said to be 6th economical power in world (per capita?) but it is not doing well in terms of getting or producing materials.
No more classes in higher ed this school year. Concern about young children who have given no news for past month (about 5% of students) people in rural areas with low income and no internet. SOME optional classes offered MAYBE from mid may: smaller classes, half days half weeks, for younger students. noone knows.
Mayor of paris promised distribution of 2 million cloth masks last week (promised monday for in the next days) but now in May they say, after testing. (which means maybe never).
AMAZON is allowed to send only food and medical supplies in FRance because they are not providing safe enviroment in france (distance, masks, gloves). Amazon contests and is closing down for 5 days (either in protest or to see if they can improve conditions - evolving story.)
i'm grateful i can eat, have no fever, i have balcony w 1.5h sun, looking onto dead-end street with many houses with gardens, i can see dozens of households clapping relatively near and far from my balcony, internet connection and cheap computer still work, phones still work. Elevotor, delivery, i' m grateful i got my sneakers delivered already. (my feet are fragile and my sneaks were very worn out).
wishing you health and courage

Here the news changes a lot.

Hello one and all.
The week is flying by and I have more work to do then hours in the day. As I am a bit of a protester I refuse to work too much OT (salaried) unless absolutely necessary or during specific times such as month/quarter end. I feel as woman we say yes way too often and must be careful not to give too much of ourselves away. We must learn how to care and love ourselves more. If we do not set the example of how we want to be treated by treating ourselves at that level, how will anyone respect us at a level we deserve and desire?
So many things to be grateful for today.- I awakened to a new day.
- I have the strength to keep moving forward and see things in a positive light.
- I am almost to my original goal weight! Yeah!!
- I have this moment in time to evaluate what is really important to me.
Hugs and prayers to all.
