Just rejoined after years away but after an injury that’s had me out of work for 3 mths most of it in lockdown I’ve struggled with my food.
I’m also a postie (delivering mail and parcels) amd so usually quite active.
I’m 40 and only slightly overweight at 165lbs 165cm height but I get so sluggish and my IBS reminds me I’m not eating correctly or doing enough exercise.
I’m starting small and just trying to log my food for a while and see patterns in my bad eating and I usually find changing one small thing a week helps to not overwhelm.
This week it is getting back out walking, next week will be upping my water intake (less tea and pop)1 -
I'm back on MFP for the first time in several years. I think I was around here a lot in 2015-2016? Anyway, I'm about to turn 38 and figured I should probably get the physique I want while I am still "young".1

There's lots of good information and tips in the sticky threads at the top of each forum category. The links below are from a couple of the forums. Each forum category has some of this useful information. Check the appropriate forum and/or post a question in the forum when you need information or input on a particular question.

Get a food scale and use it. Just log everything at first. Once you have some data, you can figure out how to fine tune your diet for your preferences and needs.
And get some friends on here. Very helpful at keeping me on track. I tell people that the community support is the best feature of MFP.
Sending you a friend request. You got this!2 -
Soon to 50 looking to lose 50 stubborn pounds. Looking for friends also!!2

Good morning everyone. No idea why but I keep getting friend requests from men who have a semi naked woman as their profile pic and said women are certainly in no need to be here by the looks of them. Anyone else getting them ?1

Do everyone a favor. Report these to staff. There's a bunch of bots sending these out, and staff can shut the accounts down. There was a data breach a while ago, and now it seems that information is being used to hijack accounts, for what reason nobody is sure. But don't risk being taken for a ride.
Staff will get our personal messages even if you're not friends. You can find links to staff at https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10028709/meet-our-community-team You can also go through the HELP feature at the top of each page.
But please do report them.
Thank you.

Does 36 count? 😂2

I'm achy breaky today. Walked faster than I usually do, yesterday, around the neighborhood. There were several Babushka sightings apparently 😑2

Morning/afternoon everyone - hope you're all having a great week. I've lost 2lbs in just over a week and I'm delighted, beast mode activated!
Feel free to add me, fellow middle-agers 😊4 -

Is it just me, or are the middle agers getting younger by the year? Like yeah, I pitched in here at 37, but that doesn't mean everyone can!
Haha. I jest obviously. Just had to have my biannual chime in3 -
Happy Valentine's day everyone ❤5

I have, too. Or just the semi naked women who have been members for a while and have no posts and no friends. I admit, its been a while since I've been here. Is that the new thing now?0 -
Good morning! Starting over, yet again. I have a few things to work on with my health. Weight, Cholesterol, and Acid Reflux. Times are so over whelming right now. I decided to check things off my 'list' one at a time. I chose to work on the Acid first, as it is so painful at times. I'm hoping too, by working on that it will help with some weight loss. But, didn't do so good last week. Starting over Monday- day.. :-) I have been on so many weight loss 'journeys'. They work/help, but only if i work on my mindset first. I have a hard time getting started with exercising. I'm married, a mother of 2, step mom of 2, and 12 grandchildren. I need to keep myself health for my family, and for God. That's my story pretty much right now. :-)3

Some old, apparently unused, accounts are being hacked. There was a data breach I think in 2018. Whenever you get these, or just generally see a profile that fits the bill, please report the "user" to staff.
Also, yet again, there's a "catfisher" hanging around. If you get a request from someone who claims to have a name of Kelly and claims to either be a veteran or stationed in Iraq and who claims to have some kids and has a private profile, please report that, too.5 -
It's duck egg day ! I do love them, so much tastier than a hen's egg and smoother too. 3 of them in an omelette with spicy cajun sauce & some mini sweet peppers with a sprinkle of corned beef and I am very happy. That's going to keep Me going through till tea tonight.3

Hi . My husband suffers from Acid reflux , what are you doing to combat it? Are you on a special diet ?0 -
