@cbabie Here's an interesting question. What stops you from eating white rice with butter and sugar but you will go over on things like PB, ice cream, other foods, etc. ? You love it but choose not to eat it? So why that food and not others?
@teresaw1020 I love upgrading my decor too. I haven't touched mine in about 12 years. It's time. The only thing new that comes into the house has been via bday gifts. lol Pinterest. Yes, my page is full too. I'm like, I already saved the recipe I want, you don't have to show me 20 more. Woohoo on the 2 lbs. You are doing a great job.
I just realized I already checked in today. Oh well, you get to hear from me twice. Since tomorrow is my bookclub, I may not check in. I watched the movie today but of course the book is so much better. I have 50 pages left to read.0 -
Afternoon all, I have been busy working on my taxes...I hate doing taxes, but decided I had better not wait until deadline.. I was stressed and yesterday almost threw my computer at my DH...he ask the darndest questions...I wanted to say then you do THEM...LOL. I haven't done too bad the last couple of days. I tracked all my food, I was over a little bit on calories, today still on track. I have worship practice in about 45 min...
@TeresaW1020 Yea on the loss and I LOVE Greek Yogurt...,but I had lowfat strawberry w/bananas for breakfast. LOL I remember cleaning the pews with Murphys oil...I laughed that you had to redo the bows..I would have done the same thing. Drives me crazy.
@trooworld So sorry about you dog, I hope the surgery works. That picture looks YUMMY..
@theslightedgeforever twice in one day...well you must have really missed us...Do you know I NEVER look at pintrest? I have a log in, but I have no clue what it is. LOL I think I am a creature of habit...same foods all the time at the same time each day...I will try to break that. LOL

@theslightedgeforever Pinterest needs a better way to opt-out of things so when I do a quick search on something they don’t think I need to see that something for the rest of my life! Most annoying. Books are always better than movies in my opinion.

@trooworld Ohhh I sure hope all goes well with your dog. How old is he? I know you are going to be a very worried mama today! Those food porn pics of yours are making me hungry!!!
I’m going to be brave and buy some shorts too this year. I am not cleaning the church this summer and sweating to death. Heck, I might even wear a tank top before the end of summer!
@cbabie Ugghh I would hate to do taxes! DH takes care of all that stuff by taking it to a tax lawyer friend of ours. DH keeps trying to get me to take interest in managing our finances and I’m like, “Uhhh no thank you!” Although, I know with him being 23 years older than me, there is going to come a time when I will need to so that I’m not sitting here in the dark because I didn’t pay the electric bill.
Good morning! It’s a gorgeous day here but boy-oh-boy the yellow pollen is now on everything! We have dark hardwoods and this morning there were yellow footprints from DH and the dog. Soooo much sweeping and mopping will now be happening!
My plan after a workout this morning is to get in my closet and start cleaning it out. Most will go to Good Will but some of the nice things I have, I’m going to see if Clothing Mentor will buy any of it. I figure some money is better than no money.

Hi all, short note. Colonoscopy went well & we are in OK for a few more days. I can vouch for Georgia’s terrible yellow pollen. Dd always said it looked like snow! Eating has gone downhill, but will start again when we get home. Then I have to start the elimination diet. 😒 Yesterday I managed to get over13,000 steps just doing normal stuff..no actual exercise, so that might help!😂
Hope your doggie does well!0 -
@trooworld 50% Yaaaay on wearing shorts now. As long as you feel good that is what matters. You are doing so well. Yaay on your Leslie Sansone Your bread looks good. I make something similar but I sprinkle black sesame seeds on the dough. Just cheese, no egg. Yes, on the 100% question. Bookclub was Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand. There was a movie made about it. I recently tried an acai bowl for the first time and liked it. How is your doggy?
@cbabie So I'm wondering how strawberries would be high fat? Maybe with some cheesecake added. lol So how are your habits working for you? Time to create some new ones? Pinterest is so much fun. One stop shopping for ideas of any kind. All free.
@teresaw1020 Yaaay for buying some shorts too this year. Pretty soon you will be at that 90 lb mark. I like to do the finances because I like knowing it's done. But then of course with that goes the taxes and budgeting, etc. So good and bad.
@retiredandlovingit Good news on the colonoscopy. Enjoy the time with your grandchildren. Your movement will help on the occasional splurge.
I got my knee x-ray results back. Early onset bilateral osteoarthritis. Now my own thinking is that if that is all this is then why does it only hurt on one side? But after doing a bit of research, it says that a flare up can happen when there is trauma or injury. Which did happen on one side. It can also be hereditary. Thanks Dad. So now I will begin working on slowing the progression of it. I bet if they were to xray my ankles they would find same thing in my ankles. So I have found some exercises on youtube and will add them to my regimen. Now I know that there is nothing seriously wrong with me, I will resume my regularly scheduled exercise program that I have been half-way doing.

Afternoon all, my daughter and I took my babygirl to the park today...it was the first time out among people for her...I was stressed and tried to wipe everything...there was a little boy and they just played and had no thought of COVID. I video all that I could, she screamed when we left wanted to play more. I came home and finished laundry, made beds and now here. I gained all that I lost last week..so going to try again this week.
@TeresaW1020 LOL I always do finances..DH stresses out, he wants all in savings and we don't eat or breathe..LOL I don't like me in shorts either...only wear them at home. We will see how I feel this year. I am glad I don't live where you are...my allergies would be horrible. We are going to be in the 90's this week, we may have hit it yesterday.
@RetiredAndLovingIt Glad you got your medical stuff done and yes, you can get back on track when your visit is done. Great job on the steps.
@trooworld your food looks so yummy...never tried that before. I pray all goes well for your doggy. Yes the weather here is great...we had to turn on our swamp cooler yesterday. Me I am always cold, but babygirl sweats at the sign of the sun..lol
@theslightedgeforever I am so sorry about your knee...did you hear mom saying mommy pay back time? Just be different that dad and at least do the therapy..LOL
Cbabie0 -
@cbabie Part of your gain might just be some sodium bloat. You have been tracking every day so that habit is forming. woohoo Now look at what you are eating and how you can make some small adjustments.
@trooworld 25% Book discussion was really good. We always hear so much more about what happened in WW2 in Europe versus the Pacific. I have a friend whose father was a Japanese POW captured by the Americans. I'm doing physical therapy once a month for my hip so I assume they will just add some knee exercises in there. The therapist has me do daily exercises for my hip Which right now I'm doing about 4-5 times a week. So I need to do better on that.
I went over on food yesterday. No sweets just constant eating it seemed.
Did not exercise.
I gained a lb. So really need to get back to my exercise even if it means taking some painkillers.0 -
@RetiredAndLovingIt Glad that your colonoscopy went well. Good job on getting so many steps.

@theslightedgeforever I did all the finances in my last marriage and in this one I love that I don’t have to worry about it. His bookkeeping skills are off the charts! As his desire to always stick to the budget.
Sorry about your osteoarthritis diagnosis. Hopefully doing exercise to target it will help. You just have to do them!
@cbabie That is great that you took your baby girl to the park! Have you got your shot yet? DH keeps saying he is going to sit down and hunt it down for us, but so far it hasn’t happened. We just be living on a prayer in this house!
Yeah, I don’t know if I will brave enough to wear shorts out in public but around the house, I will for sure this year. Maybe when I’m cleaning the church.
@trooworld Does your dog always sleep with you? That might be a partial explanation as to why you don’t sleep well. My girl has her own nice little crate in our room that she loves sleeping in. I hope you get some answers with the sleep study kit.
Hi everyone! Today has been great! First, I found 20 lb. dumbbells at Walmart. They only had two and they went straight into my buggy!
There was this 40 lb. kettlebell that I wanted too but I will have to wait until DH also thinks that it’s a good idea. He is worried I’m going to hurt myself. AND he does have a valid concern.
Today, was day two of the great closet cleanout and DH got to get in on the party. The man believes he owns wayyy too many clothes and that he only needs 2 of each item. That didn’t happen, but we did donate quite a big of things and that made him happy. Tomorrow, I’m going to the dentist and then will come home and finish up the organizing. It’s going to look so nice and be ready for my first shopping trip next Tuesday. Although I did already ordered two shirts from Belks that were a size large because the reviews said they ran large, and they did and fit perfectly. One of them is getting worn on Easter. So excited!

@teresaw1020 Yes on doing my therapy exercises. I have always hated doing floor exercises. Now it's hard to get down on the floor to do these. I still don't think the osteoarthritis is causing my problem. Maybe injuring my knee 6 weeks ago exacerbated it. If I sit 30 min and then get up I can't walk on leg without severely limping for about 3 steps then it seems to loosen up and then I can walk. My mother would say, then don't sit.........
@trooworld Yaaay on your 100% I got 50%. I've only been over on calories once this past 7 days but points, I only hit it one time OP, then carbs I hit 3 times OP. Not planning ahead and then keeping track of my carbs/points before I eat dinner. If I were you, I'd keep poking and kicking dh in the middle of the night and blame it on the dog. If you can't get good sleep, he shouldn't be able to either. lol My hubby used to snore really bad. Earplugs work great. But I noticed he hasn't snored this past year like before. Maybe losing some weight helped him.
24 over on carbs
No cardio or weights
Did some therapy exercises.0 -
Evening all, I can't believe I missed getting on here yesterday. I have been crazy busy, but I seem to be coming out of my funk, so this is a good thing. Yes I have tracked, but I have been so way over. I am working on trimming as my dear sister calls it. LOL
@theslightedgeforever good for you for doing therapy exercises.
@TeresaW1020 Yea on decluttering your closet. I need to do it again.
@trooworld So sorry you had such a hard night sleeping. I hope tonight is better....tell DH to go on the couch..LOL Well it wouldn't work in my house....thats why I go to the couch...lol
Cbabie0 -
@cbabie Trimming is good. It's like pruning trees and plants. Getting out of a funk is a really good thing. I think me too. Not where I want to be but getting closer. I just realized it's a new quarter and need to make my Q2 plans.
@trooworld Yes, planning is the key. Part of my funk. Part is that dh is home all day and he sometimes changes my plans. I have days where I will stick to my plan and then I have days like yesterday where he says, I feel like some ice cream and I say Oh that sounds good. The good thing we do is never buy ice cream for the house or we would eat it all the time. I did that before. It's not ice cream that keeps me fat. Sleeping and reading all day is a dream. I got 25%. Yaaay on your 100%.
Food- 6 points over
Exercise- 15 min walk 37 min therapy exercises0 -
@theslightedgeforever Funny but I also thought, “then don’t sit if it hurts.” I’m as bad as your mom!
@cbabie That is great that you are coming out of your funk. I hope it continues!
@trooworld Yeah, I don’t know what advice to give if you are going to keep sleeping with your dog. Guess you can get separate beds for your husband and dog. Kidding!! But at least it would keep you off the couch.
How long do you have to wear the sleep study gear for?
Hello! Not sure why I didn’t check in other than I was super busy yesterday. I had a dentist appointment and then I finished up the closet. It’s so organized now!! DH and I are going shopping on Tuesday and I’m looking forward to trying on things to see what fits and find out what style is now that I’m down over 80 lbs.
The three of us have our Covid shot scheduled for next Wednesday. I’m glad that we can get it and be done with it. I just hope that the second shot doesn’t kick our butts too badly. I do know that once we are all done, I am going to stop wearing my mask unless a store makes me put it on.

Hi All! Sorry I’ve been MIA. I’ve been in a funk. Got my first shot today and shot didn’t hurt but now arm is, tired feeling like I have a cold. Yuck! Going to keep hydrated and get lots of rest over the next few days. Hope everyone is doing well!0

Evening...I just don't know where the day goes. I did get on the treadmill today and I am still on track, tracked all day. I didn't eat PB and it allowed me to eat 3 chicken strips from Arby's. LOL I can't believe Easter is here. This year is going fast.
@gemwolf110 I hope you feel better, good to see you.
@theslightedgeforever That is my life...if it's not DH, it's Baby girl, if it's not her its my DD..I am learning how to try to work around them. LOL LIke today baby girl wanted to go with me to the treadmill but she can't it's on the other side of the pool fence and I can't watch her and walk. LOL She threw fit, I got her in the house and distracted and then went outside to walk and DH watched her. LOL Keep trying, you are getting back to you!!
@TeresaW1020 Good job on the closet, want to come do mine? I went out today looking for a dress for Easter, I haven't bought a new dress or new anything in years...they all look frumpy to me.. I like the tailored look..LOL Enjoy shopping!
@trooworld I hope you feel better, and maybe it just is the shot and tomorrow you'll have more energy? LOL Glad your considerate to your DH...Mine would wake me up.LOL
Cbabie1 -
@teresaw1020 That will be exciting to do some shopping and see what kind of clothes fits the new you. You have worked so hard for it. See what I had growing up? lol What happened to let me kiss your boo-boo and make it better.
@gemwolf110 Funks are hard. I'm just climbing out of one. 75% there. I had a slight indication that my knee is getting better today. There were times I didn't even think about it. It's been about 6 weeks of me thinking about it. I keep trying to do my exercises. Just try and think about or be around some little things that bring you joy. Everyone seems to have a different reaction to the shots.
@cbabie Play for baby girl the Rolling Stones song: You can't always get what you want..... It's a good lesson to learn at an early age and will help you through these next 16 years. That's good that you put yourself first and found a solution so you could walk. I don't like the clothing styles right now. Might just be me. Reminds me of those dresses Mama used to wear on Carol Burnett show.
@trooworld Knee is just a bit better today. I'm just being extremely careful not to hurt it or step wrong. That's good that you and dh are doing the plan together. I don't like doing plans with dh. He's too black or white for me. God made the color gray for a reason.
Stayed OP
Exercise-Rest Day other than about 5 min of therapy1 -
@cbabie thank you! Definitely feel better than I did last night. Still feel yucky. Keeping hydrated, resting and having soup.
@trooworld i think it’s just rethinking my career path. I’m very dissatisfied with my job along with other things. Just think I’m in the wrong field. Considering going back into the sciences.
@theslightedgeforever glad to hear your knee is feeling better! I’m so thankful for my dogs and family they are the best and keep me grounded.0 -
@gemwolf110 Yeah, I get my shot next week and I swear my arm is already hurting from what I’ve heard from others. I hope you feel better soon and it’s good to see you popping on!

@cbabie Did you find an Easter dress? I agree that clothes look frumpy, and the current styles are terrible. I’m super annoyed by it now that I want to go out and buy cute clothes! They better get better before I reach goal weight.
@trooworld I am glad that we can get the shot. I just don’t want it to hurt or for us to get sick. And if we do get sick, I hope it’s me or my mom. My DH is the worst when he is sick. *fingers are crossed* Sorry about your head. Do you think it’s the change in weather? I had a terrible headache a few days ago when it turned really warm. And now we are back to being cold. Ugghhh!
@theslightedgeforever My mom wasn’t good at kissing boo-boos. If we weren’t gushing blood we got a pat on the head and told it would be OK, now go out and play. I might have learned a thing or two from her on being compassionate.
Hey everyone! I was happy to lose 1.3 lbs. this week. Slow and steady it’s coming off. I am a little concerned about this weekend because I am not going off plan. Tomorrow I’m making a big crockpot full of beef stew that we will have for the next two days. Along with yummy yeast rolls that DH bought. And I am making a Keto strawberry shortcake for dessert on Sunday. Oh, and there will be wine!!
But I do plan to fast and workout for both days and just eat dinner. That should help and I will be back on plan on Monday. I have spent most of the day doing tons of computer work for the church and other stuff on my to-do-list. Now, I’m going to go make baked chicken wings for dinner.

@trooworld Ohhhhhh my those Captain's Vacation drinks sound even better than my super tasty red wine!
I used to have me a real love for that spiced rum. The very first time my DH and I took a vacation together I drank way too much of the good old Captain and ended up telling him things that a new love really didn't need to know. I do believe I haven't touched the Captain since.
So, I too had a big whoosh on the scale. I was super happy but annoyed that it happened on the day I'm going on a two-day carb fest. But at least it's recorded so I know it really happened and it will happen again. I had our super yummy beef stew and yeast roll dinner and two glasses of wine. I really felt that wine hit me. I haven't had any in over a month. DH gave mom and me a chocolate Easter bunny. So, now I gotta eat that too!
I'll be saving the rest of the wine for tomorrow. I am volunteering in the nursery for the 9:30 service and need to be on my A-game for those little munchins.

Happy Easter!!
@TeresaW1020 yippee on losing 1.3 lbs! It’s going to be a bit tough with Easter. The keto strawberry shortcake sounds yummy. And I hear ya I think my arm was sore prior to the shot because I knew it was coming!
@trooworld oh no about your dog! I hope not and maybe vet can save eye! Dogs have a way of getting rid of stitches. My Nasha girl decided to get around her cone and take out her spay stitches the day after her spay. I was terrified. Thank goodness the vet had put in tight stitches inside so nothing worse would happen. Good luck with the pup!

@gemwolf110 Glad you are feeling better. While it's scary to go in a different direction, it can be the best thing. My son is having similar thoughts and I tell him he has his whole life ahead of him. Why keep doing something that doesn't make him happy. Life is too short. How is your health journey? Making good choices?
@teresaw1020 Yaaaay on your weight loss. The important thing was you made a plan for Easter. Funny thing about our moms. In a way, I'm just like her. We have a funny story in our family. One day we were out and my son cut his pinky finger on a swing while pushing his younger siblings. It sliced open like a banana. So we rushed him to the hospital with me yelling, Do not get blood all over the new car.
It was brand new, like 3 weeks.
@trooworld Rigidness doesn't seem to work well in any situation, I don't think. I'd just keep that stunningly low weight in mind and then don't weigh for 3-4 days. That gives time for sodium bloat to get out of your system. You won't know if your weight went up a bit. Wasn't real weight gain anyway in that short of time.
oh, gotta go. Be back.1 -
@gemwolf110 I love when you post pics of your doggies. They are all so cute!!

@trooworld How is the dog’s eye? I sure hope he doesn’t end up losing it. Good job on losing weight in spight of your DH’s yummy cooking.
@theslightedgeforever I would have been the same with the blood and not wanting it all over the place.
Hi everyone! Well, my Easter meal was good but it was too much food and carbs. I barely slept last night and my weight is up. I was back on plan today and hopefully will get it off by Friday. DH and I are going shopping tomorrow and plan to eat out but I’m going to look ahead at what I can eat and it will be my only meal. I’m excited to spend the day with my hubby while we spend some money. Two of my favorite things!!
I am also happy that the countertop people called and they are coming out Wednesday to measure for our new quartz. So excited!!!

Evening all, I have been so busy during the day, I can't seem to get on here. I lost the 2.4 I had gained last week, I am still tracking every day and didn't get as much exercise as I wanted last week, but started the day off right..already hit my 10K, but I am for sure winding down. I am tired. I ended up going to Goodwill to buy a dress for Easter, got lots of compliments on it, but I HATED how I looked. It made me realize my age and the body that most people accept at my age. ( I looked like my mom) I don't want to be frumpy..You can be on the thick side and not have to look frumpy. I like straight lines and no BOLD Florals. I am the pinstripe suit type. LOL.
@TeresaW1020 I am so glad you enjoyed your dinner and yes have fun with DH.. You lost on you WI so this week you will get back to your routine. LOL Easter only comes 1 time a year.
@theslightedgeforever I can hear that song in my head and I am sure baby girl will like it,
@trooworld I am so sorry about your puppies stitches...maybe it won't turn out bad. I always say there is always HOPE..
@gemwolf110 I am not an animal lover at all, but your fur babies are gorgeous. Thanks for sharing. I understand about your desire to go back into sciences..( Not me LOL) But I worked a job for 30 years was let go and emotionally it did me in. It's not that I didn't like my job, but as I looked back and saw what part of me that I had given that company and how little the management at that time thought of me and my usefulness...I wish I had done something that either gave me fulfillment or had made an impact in an area that was near to my heart. So you do what you think is best for YOU. LIfe is too short as my sister says to not be happy where you spend a lot of you DAY. ( my 2 cents, not that you asked) So sorry...I think you hit a button I am almost healed from LOL
Cbabie1 -
@trooworld I love that you asked me if I was working hard enough? Thank you for caring enough to ask. I don't believe I was, but the fact that I tracked told me that I wanted to change my behavior. Part of my overeating was by the time late night rolls around I am so tired, I don't give a rip, I just want to go to bed, so I ate to keep going..WRONG move...I am moving in the right direction!!0
-
@teresaw1020 Yaaaay on your WHOOSH! You'll see it again. Just a little carb bloat right now. Next Easter meal what would you do differently? Take some notes so you can remember next year.
@trooworld I love Croque Monsieur and Croque Madam too. I'll have to look up the recipe for the casserole. I wonder if I could do a Menu Makeover. Yaay on the weight loss. How's the doggy's eye? That made me go OUCH! I felt it in my body when I read it. Meanwhile I'm watching National Geographic Wild and watching them do surgery on a bunny's eye.
@gemwolf110 Did you get any exercise in today yet? I can see all your doggies different personalities. One looks grumpy, one looks like a selfie star, one looks sad, and one looks like the person that always make a funny face in every picture. lol0 -
@cbabie Woohoo on your weight loss. So when you are tired, what can you do to keep going besides eat? I bet you looked nice in your dress. Not like mom. Although you know she was always a spiffy dresser. (I did have a good chuckle out of that though.) I'm granny so what can I say? So really you want to dress like dad. Maybe that needs to be explored more. I'm sensing a masculine vs feminine thing. Although nowadays, what is that?
I hope all who celebrate had a wonderful Easter. Here's something about the thinking "Easter only comes once a year". So does Valentines Day, St Patricks Day, Memorial and Labor Day picnics, 4th of July, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. Every month it seems is a good excuse to eat overboard. But you know I love my word balance so if we can enjoy ourselves and balance it out, enjoy the holidays.

@cbabie That is great that you lost 2.4 lbs!! I’m sorry that you didn’t like your Easter dress. I’m not a fan of the bold florals either.
@trooworld How is the dog? That is great that you don’t stress eating.
@theslightedgeforever That is a good idea to take notes about what I would eat differently next Easter, or even at the next holiday event. Not eating so many carbs would be at the top of my list. They just aren’t worth how yucky I feel afterward. And you are right that every month we have holidays, weekends, and other excuses we can use to go off our plan. Yes, to finding balance!!
Good morning! Hubby and I had a great day shopping! I bought a couple of pairs of jeans, a couple of shirts, and a pair of shoes. One pair of jeans were the pull-on skinny type and came from Dillards and were a size 10! I am not a size 10, but Dillard's vanity sizing let me think I was.
It as so much fun to go into all these stores and not have to go to the back corner where the plus-sizes live. Every time I saw the plus size I would say, “Sorry but you’re not my section anymore!”
Today, we are all going to get our first Covid shot, and then I have to teach the littles at church this evening. I’m also back on my Keto plan. Hoping for not too big of a gain this week!!

Morning all, I got in 2 walks yesterday, I was on my feet all day and pretty stiff this morning. LOL Our Microwave had went out about 3 days ago and every time I would plan a meal, I couldn't cook what I had planned. Last night was no different, We didn't get the new microwave installed until 7 pm last night. So we had left over meatloaf and I did get to bake potatoes and cook veggies in the microwave...Normally I would have said, lets just go get some fast food, too tired to cook...but I didn't and I consider this a win! LOL
@TeresaW1020 Your shopping day sounds fun. So glad you found some clothes and ( of course) shoes..LOL I have way too many shoes., but I love shoes. Hope you don't feel icky after your shot today. I still say we are long lost sisters. LOL
@trooworld LOL I could just "picture" you pup with this super long tongue...going across the room and getting his food without moving.. LOL ( I see too many cartoons in my head)
Great job on not grabbing the chocolate chips!! That was like me a mini cupcake was calling me from the fridge last night...and it was hard not to grab and pop in my mouth. I should keep those frozen. LOL
@theslightedgeforever Yes you like the word balance...Did you ever have to do gymnastics in school? Remember the balance beam? Hows your knee today?
Cbabie0 -
Hi all..been gone too long to catch up on all personals, but sounds like everyone is doing well.
@trooworld So sad about your doggie. I hope the stem cell drops help him. I do understand your decision. Reminds me of our last dog. She had health problems and the treatments were expensive & making her miserable, so we stopped all medicine and decided to just let nature take its course. She was happy & seemed healthy and lived another 4 years or so until she was 15 years old.
We had a good time in OK with dd & gkids & my brother & sis-il. (bro & sis-il were fully vaccinated & dd got her 2nd the day we got there.) Gd had a good birthday.
Dd here asked us to come over for Easter supper since we have not been there for almost a year. (& dd, dh, & I have had our shots) Well, later Sunday night after we were there, sil started running a temp, & still had it Mon am, so got tested & has Covid. So he & the kids are quarantined in different parts of their house. We had a funeral to attend today (dh's nephew who was more like a brother..close in age) but decided it best to not go. Dh & I have no symptoms & I trust the vaccine that we won't get really sick from being exposed, but not sure if we could pass it on if asymptomatic & didn't want to take that risk. Glad it was on video from the funeral home. So far, sil not that sick, but has now lost his taste & smell. He was supposed to get his 1st shot today.
My eating & steps are off, but trying to get back with it. Am going to start the elimination diet on Monday, that might help get me started again.

@cbabie I could handle having you for a long-lost sister!
Glad, you got your new microwave and that you didn’t cave to getting fast food! That is a big win for sure.
@trooworld That article on stress and cortisol is very timely for sure and it’s so very true. You have had a very stressful couple of weeks with your dog. So, you need to do your best to relax and cut yourself some slack until things get better. The weight will come off.
We have a Sams right down the road and use our membership for lots of things.
@RetiredAndLovingIt That is too bad that your sil came down with Covid. Hopefully, everyone exposed will be fine.
Good morning! Well, my weight is up 1.3 lbs this week. I’m at a big fat zero for the month.
And unlike trooworld, I don’t have stress to blame. NOPE, I have overeating to blame. Since Easter weekend, I’ve been off my game. Going shopping and having a big chocolate shake and fries wasn’t the best idea. My fasting hasn’t been where it needs to be and I haven’t been tracking at all. Ohhh and I ate Easter candy at work yesterday. Quite a bit of it to be honest. So, I had a serious talk with myself and talked with my DH about how I’ve been slipping. Today, I’m back on and will need to struggle through the sugar detox and get myself back in ketosis. I will turn it around!!

That’s how I’m feeling now. I’ve given so much of my time, effort and knowledge and I just feel like a deflated doormat being stomped on. Want to feel fulfilled in my career.
