Carla, in MN, yeah, many times when I am speaking of communication about my Navy overseas son, I am speaking of my eldest son stationed on Guam. He and I have always had the greatest of relationships. I say its because I learned how to be a momma with him. He is the son we shared our current bigass house with from April 2018 to Feb 2020. I miss him "inviting me" to come over to his side of the house, pat his couch saying, "sit mom, lets watch some funny videos"! Then he'd offer me a candy, or a strange flaming hot chip. He'd say it like he was offering you tea or coffee, too cute. Sometimes we'd be up until 2 am, just giggling and laughing. 💖.
My youngest sailor is overseas in Japan, and like I wrote in my letter, I need to know what his plans are for the future. Is he extending to see the ship be decommissioned, or going to another command in Japan? Or is he coming stateside? If he does that with no communication, I won't know where the heck he is. My fear. 😢
I just try to keep an open mind and heart about it.

Manicure. Half a pedicure, but I'm waiting until near the time for varnishing toenails. No one will see them, but it's a bit of fun. Last cruise, I wasn't able to swim, because of the weather and the swell, (although I did try to go one day when it was closed), but the Med may be flatter. The pool is heated. Hoping I can get a chance. Swimming was a great pleasure on the previous ships, part of my holiday. I'm a good swimmer, proper hat, goggles, lengths. I used to go at 7 am and do 45 mins.
Lovely day here.

Funny enough, I am on a boat in the ocean quite often. Where I live, it's usually rather bumpy. But, being on a huge catamaran on the Mediterranean was the bumpiest ride I've ever had. I hope you have a smoother experience.

Hugs Beth!!! Glad your momma is close by!💖👍🏻🙏0

Beth - so good to see you, so glad you could get your mama where you can see her any time. I know it was not without pain inside and out for all of you. I keep hearing at the back of mind, "comfort me with apples," had to look up the reference. So glad you're home.
Rebecca - you're such an amazing mama...

Hello gals,
I would love to pop by here and honestly will check In as much as I can-I’m impressed by the camaraderie here! Just read the posts and am catching up on this lovely October Sunday morning.
Our grandkids spent the night so I will be driving them home soon - always fun and tiring but I’m
Blessed they live close.
My protein menu for today:
eggs, Turkey burger, cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, and maybe some lean grilled chicken - my goal is to aim for 110 grams a day.
Other carbs and fat will be avocado, brown rice, roasted bell peppers and onions and an apple.
Did a 1 hr walk yesterday and honestly Sunday is ‘sort of’ my day of rest so will start tomorrow with a 30 minute HIIT class.
Take care!

Lisa: My stick answer is “Well, I woke up this morning, so it’s all good! What about yourself?” 😝
Heather: 😍 the turquoise too.
Katla49: I hope your hubby rejoins you soon, dear girl. It must be frustrating to keep having it put off, but I’m sure it’s in his best interests health wise. (((Hugs)))
Beth: (((Hugs))) What a palaver it is getting our seniors relocated.
Felt a bit fragile this morning and was having minor problems with my waterworks. I’ve been eating light and drinking cranberry and bicarbonate, which has thankfully, settle the problem down. Should be right as rain by tomorrow morning.

Did the Firm Cardio Sculpt DVD then Jackie Xtreme Toning DVD then went for a walk around the block.
Sad day in NC.
We closed the pool. Tlhis is the earliest we have ever closd it. But after two weeks of temps in the 70’s, the pool probably won’t warm up enough to use it. I’m just so tired from bringing in all the ceramics that I won’t go for a walk around the block tonight. I already have more than 15,000 steps
Bowling tomorrow afternoon and then ceramics at night.
Barbie – someone on here suggested Wet & Forget. I use it on my vinyl fence and it’s wonderful!. It keeps the mold and mildew at bay because it works with the rain. It can last quite a long time.
Beth – I’m so glad your mom is near you!
So very tired. I think I’ll lie on the couch, watch TV, probably fall asleep. Work tomorrow.

MIchele, Thanks, I'll look at Wet and Forget. I've been using baby shampoo and rags.

Choir sang this morning at church. After church they had a birthday celebration for a man in our congregation that turned 90 today. He is one of the guys that leads the hiking group. I would never have guessed he was 90.
DD and I got a string of outdoor lights put up on the gazebo. There were some very old lights that no longer worked up out there and those were taken down. The new ones are really nice and we could actually use the gazebo at night now. It has been unseasonably warm and dry this fall and is still smokey. They have decided to just let the fire burn itself out as it is in a wilderness area now and not threatening any homes. Working outside though can still be very uncomfortable.
Beth - so glad you got your mom moved.
Rebecca - glad you at least got to see pictures of your youngest sailor. My DD used to go a long time without contacting us and told me once that if we didn't hear from her then that meant everything was OK.
Everyone take care, Sue in WA5 -
Barbie – you can look up Wet and Forget on Amazon. It is safe for plants, too.
Sue WA – I know what you mean about never guessing someone’s age. There are people on our senior bowling league that when they tell me their age, I’m shocked. We had one lady who was in WWII, she would drive herself to the bowling alley twice a week. Yes, she moved slowly. When I’m her age I’ll be happy to be vertical!
What did I tell you? I fell asleep on the couch watching TV. Took a shower and now ready for bed.

It has been busy & I am ready to rest. Thank you, friends, for kindness and encouragement. DH is doing a bit better day by day. His situation continues to improve slowly. He is making progress. ❤️6
