Walked around the block twice today. When I got back Mason was up. He usually gets up early it seems. Work tomorrow then bowling in the afternoon and ceramics at night

Barbara -wine and chocolates sound much better while watching Hallmark Channel movies than Tumble’s grooming aids. Guess Shadow doesn’t ride Maizey

Teresa and the kids left. They’re going to stop at Jess’ place then go on. I didn’t realize that they lived in Maryland, I thought they lived in VA! The kids kept saying that they wanted to come back in the summer so that they could go swimming. I don’t mind. I seemed to be more tolerant of the kids than Vince was.

Did 2 loads of laundry. I did want to wash the sheets in the bedroom that Steve will use next weekend so that I have time to put them on the bed.

Anne DE – the dripping water on me I can handle. But I do keep an eye out that it doesn’t get any worse and then the water goes into the food. Actually, the last time that happened, I did the prep in the sink where they wash the dishes. One manager got upset that I did it there. When I asked her where she wanted me to do it, she pointed to the sink where I usually do it. When I got home that day I texted the store manager and asked her what plan “B” was. She told me that she’d prefer I do it at the prep sink (actually, so would I because it’s set up to do the prep) but if that’s not possible, she’s OK with me doing it elsewhere (and there really isn’t any other place). Well, that manager said to me “I talked to Molly (store manager) and you can’t do it there (the prep sink). Ren can knock us down 25 points. So I just said “well, if the Department of Health ever saw that, it really wouldn’t matter what Ren said”. At the time I didn’t know that Ren was the Department of Health. I should have said “and how many point will we be knocked down by being closed down for a health hazard?”. Really, she’s a manager, she should have known better! But I also know that no matter what, she was the kind of person who had to be right, even if she was wrong. Actually, she went to another store. Can’t say that I’m upset. Truthfully, I do wish Libby (or Hoopla) had more books to download. Too many times I’ve found that the book is available, but the audiobook isn’t. Ever since I’ve started working and my hands are in water all the time, my nails have gotten soft.

Barbara – sounds like a good breakfast to me!

Vince said that he’s had afib for 2 hours so he’s laying down right now. Honestly, I don’t like the fact that he seems to be having these attacks, to me, frequently. I don’t know

Allie – I like to buy my gas at Sam’s on Sunday morning (remember, I live in the Bible Belt….)

Anne DE – good luck on your date. Be sure to tell us all about it.

Chris in MA: I remember you! Welcome back. You know how it is in this community: jump in anytime about just about anything.

Pip: LOVE the Lucy+Chispas+Santa photo! Will you giving your mom a print of it? Made me smile. They are lucky pups to have you.

Allie: Hugs and healing vibes coming down the wire.

Rita: That tree pattern is awesome. I love crochet but have just gotten myself some simple embroidery kits. A new skill to practice, especially at night. Especially to keep my hands busy.

Machka: “Service bell” so perfect. Once I take some photos will post the holiday decorating I applied to Mars’ kitty condo. He loves it. I am quite immpressed with how your dry stream is coming together.

So grateful I slept well last night after ushering for 11 hours yesterday. My back, still feeling the snow tubing oweee, was really barking during the entire second shift. But otherwise it was a very interesting day of music, children singing, brass bands playing to the city shoppers outside the doors as I was scanning tickets on a very sunny day. There was also a symphonic mélange with mandolin virtuoso Chris Thile, good conversations with colleagues, and even better people watching. Never dull moments at a busy, holiday entertainment venue. And, just about 90 seconds before we hit the pinnacle of every usher’s evening (one minute to curtain, afterwhich there is a holdout till first applause), the president of our company showed up, introduced himself, and said in his previous visits to the Boettcher Concert Hall, he had never left the lobby level. So, my colleague Lise and I, manning the third level, stopped for an impromptu chat with Dave explaining some of the nuances of the hall and our jobs and interactions with patrons. Then we hit that one minute mark, and we dropped him cold. He bid us a quiet good night mouthing the words "I can see you're BUSY". In the seconds I had with him, I recited the 20 second recap of how this job, putting me in healing proximity of live music, nature, and fun people, has been a positive force as I heal from grief. And, I meant it sincerely. Then, ZOOM! Had to dash to help a couple find their seats.

    GRATITUDE with 🎅🏽🎄🎅🏽🎄 Attitude
1 What is something that makes you laugh? Movie “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation”. I can recite almost every line, and it still cracks me up.
2 Something about the current season you’re grateful for. “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation is on almost every channel, almost every hour…”
3 What about your body do you love/are you grateful for? My memory. God forbid I should ever forget the lines to “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation”, and even worse, the good feeling I get from the story.
4 Who is someone in your life that you’re grateful for? The character Clark Griswold. His story inspires me. He dreams of the perfect fun old fashioned family Christmas, but it goes sideways and but he remains positive and optimistic through the chaos and mess ups.

Stay well friends. We can do this.

Thx, I took them to get that pic so I could frame it and give it to her for Christmas

Love, love LOVE my new bathrobe. Fits better than the other two I have so off they go to the thrift store. Two lucky someones will get a nice new bathrobe for Christmas.
The turtleneck I ordered to save $$ on shipping, not so much. Same dull dusty rose color as the 100% cotton T-neck I already have, and label says 60/40 cotton/poly blend. Was prepping it for return when I realized it only cost $5.99 and it would cost $6.85 to mail it back so ‘nother Christmas present for someone shopping at the Thrift store.
Machka you are right, Roomba’s are NOT cheap. BUT I got our j7 from the irobot website for $399 and I see the newer i7 equivalent is now down to $279. https://www.irobot.com/en_US/deals.html#deals

I didn’t want the more expensive “self emptying” one as the bags are not reusable, you have to keep buying more. I actually get a sense of accomplishment from emptying the bin. And yes, I love love love my Roomba. It does such a better job than I ever did on keeping the high traffic areas clean. It even inspired me this morning to take my Dyson stick to some upholstery and corners that haven’t been cleaned in a l o o o n g while. .
    Katla great day!
Jeannie, I’d love to hear more about your archery practice, and am jealous of your Silver Sneakers.
Rebecca you are a powerful woman. Nyquil chasing Alka Selzter plus would probably put me into a coma.
Allie @2.99/gallon? :astonished: Ours just crept below $5.00. Sheesh!
    Rori  gratitude with attitude!
Michele trust me, grooming Tumble is much better for me than wine and chocolates ;)
Shadow iis too big and Tumble to looooong to consider riding Maizey and at this point they’re both too suspicious of her. Maizey has knocked into Tumble twice and the Princess was NOT amused. And yes, the bean dip smothered avocado was tasty and kept me from being hungry all day. May have to schedule more beany breakfasts. Scary for Vince to be having those attacks. Wish he wouldn’t wait two hours before letting you know.
Chris love the swans. Well done on your walk.

    4 Who is someone in your life that you’re grateful for? Friends here and BFF Candy. Also “friends” who’ve taught me so much about myself. It’s not a correction if it doesn’t sting. ;}

    Done:
    12/3: corrected Wt:138.0137.8

Chris – those swans reminded me of the swans on the Charles. What memories! College, the Mass Bridge, Dino’s pizza, the Back Bay, the Commonwealth, Filene’s Basement. Oh, the memories

Barbara – I like the fact that the Roomba can get under things whereas I have a hard time with the vacuum. Also, it gets the crumbs around the perimeter of the house. I wish I got Silver Sneakers, I only get Silver & Fit. I could get Silver Sneakers if I had an Advantage plan with Medicare, but I don’t want Advantage. So I’m stuck with Silver & Fit. Well, it does about the same thing. I go to the gym for $50 annually.

Today was mostly a quiet day. Chatting on the telephones with DH was my favorite part of the day. 💕

Exer Mom, I also went to college in Boston. The quiet in the city when it snows and how pretty the snow looks in Back Bay before the traffic ruins it. I miss Boston.

I hope I’ll be able to visit DH tomorrow. I wasn’t able to see him today. Keeping my fingers crossed that I’ll be able to see him in person. 🤞🏻🤞🏻 If I can’t get there in person I’ll try texting. ⭐️
