I don’t want a full size treadmill, just something that’ll help me get a couple miles in at home as winter sets in for times when I don’t want to walk/run outside or go to the Y and use a treadmill. I’ve been looking online- and, as always, some good reviews and also some complaints on the walking pad models I’ve looked at.
No experience whatsoever. I just do Crazy Laps! Even running/walking in place, use the stairs for my hills. For the 'in place' I do use a thicker carpet piece like you see cashiers use.
Haha - I run “laps” around my dining table and coffee table (open floor plan, so kind of a crazy 8 pattern). Could save about $200-$300 and just continue doing that.

I won't be able to reach my goal of 60 but I will make 50+ miles, and I will take it!!
Got my run outside today while the weather was in the 30s (F). I don't usually run outdoors in winter, so today was a new experience!

Recap: Honeycrisps are very good, and I usually get Fuji's as they are cheaper and good too. Fuji's can be very hard.
The SweeTango was easier to bite into, not mushy just slightly softer. It is flavorful, not as intensely flavored as Fuji/Honeycrisp. I'd say less sweet than the Honeycrisp and less tart than the Fuji.
Overall, it's good. It's currently the most expensive apple of the three. All things equal I would probably buy SweeTango. The differences are subtle but not worth a 30% markup.
BTW: what's up with the name "SweeTango" it looks silly. What is a "Swee?"5 -

Back from being sick-ish. Lovely ice-cold weather. It snowed last night and there were about 7cm snow this morning. Roads were mostly free though. Loved this run.7 -
Thanks for the apple review @chris_in_cal. You fulfilled a public service for us all
Nice job getting that pace run in @martaindale when you didn't feel like it. Without fail, every time I go for a run when I'm not feeling it, I never regret it.
Way to get outside in the cold and out of your comfort zone @mnsmov15!4 -
Hey team! It’s another week: another city to run in. This time Milford Haven in Wales. Managed two short runs to take my November 🏃♂️ total to 49.7 km / 60 km 🎯. Two days to go and 5k each day should see me hit target. I definitely would not have done it without this group - thank you!10

I am LOVING the apple reviews. Thank you all. I will have to stick with Honeycrisp altho I don't buy apples as often without having Bandit to do a taste test first for me. Lately the Pomengranites (sp is awful) at the store have been amazing so altho messy and hardy to eat, I have been having those.
I keep revising my ticker. Now that I have met my goal about I will call it 150 miles. Reminds me of the targets they set for bonus'es at work. One year when I was with Tyco they announced the targets AFTER the qtr was over. Durn you missed it. 😳🧐😏

It was cold today, but not as bad as yesterday. It was 41°F, feels like 37°F. And it wasn't windy so it was actually a pretty morning. I ran 6 miles. I think I was really dressed well today. I tend to overdress when it is below 45°F but today I was warm enough, but not too warn. I do need to get some new sleeves. I have a pair, but they tend to sag and I don't like them near as much as the pair that I lost the right arm recently.

It was too cold for me to venture out this morning so I spent an hour doing a full-body strength workout and then ran 3 miles on the treadmill. I don't know how ya'll run any further than that on one! In order to keep on track for my goal, at lunch I went outside for another 2.36 miles. It was 32 with 11 mph winds and a feel like of 26F but at least the sun was shining and much warmer than the forecast for in the morning.8

Hello everyone! We had our first snow of the year last night and I seem to be coming down with something (cough, cough), but no throat pain so I still wanted to run- so I did 7km on the treadmill at the gym. I am hoping to get a run in the snow in tomorrow morning if my body feels up for it!
@AlphaHowls No Deere/deer wildlife sightings for me today .
So far for November 162.5/200km.

Nice running @mnsmov15 . Good for you for braving the cold weather.
@yirara Glad you are feeling better and had a nice, cold run.
You are doing great @Zakkery86 ! You are doing great running when you travel. This group is great for motivation. May I ask what you do for work that "allows" you to travel to so many different places?SummerSkier wrote: »Reminds me of the targets they set for bonus'es at work. Nice running @kgirlhart ! Glad you figured out how to dress today. I'm so sorry about the lost sleeve. Once you have something you like, it's hard to find another to match it.
Great running @Teresa502 . I think once you get used to a treadmill, it isn't too bad. I watch TV so I'm not bored. Game shows that keep my mind occupied trying to come up with the answers is the best for a longer run. What are you going to do tomorrow? It's really supposed to be cold in the morning.
You are doing great @Laurz9191 ! I hope you feel better tomorrow and can go out for that snowy run.
@Mari33a Great job with the rainy run. I don't mind running in the rain if it is warm and I'm already out when it starts. Except I really hate running in wet shoes. LOL I hope the pizza was as good as you were anticipating!

77.85/80 miles
I took Tippy to the vet this morning for her yearly checkup and shots. She did great. When I got home, I did a treadmill wun. I had planned to run, but when I was sitting at the computer this morning, by back took a couple of catches and I was afraid to run too much. I watched two more episodes of The Match Game and only ran during the commercials. I managed 4 miles in 59:45 min...so 15 min/mile. My Avg HR was 113 with a max of 139 bpm.
Upcoming race: Space Force T minus10 miler - 9 Dec

Did 7 miles this evening. Was an OK run, but nothing special.
Brings me to 2010... the year my daughter graduated high school as the Valedictorian from a class of about 900. Then later that year she started at Texas A&M. Time flies!

Morning all. Less time this morning - but got in 3.75M (09"31 pace).
@Mari33a pizza 🍕 Mmmmm 🤤
Alrighty.... From apples 🍏 to Pizza 🍕...
What's everyone's favourite topping and their least favourite???
I'll go...
Favourite: Mushroom (truffle -type of mushroom!- if a super fancy Italian!)
Least: toss up between Pineapple and Jalapeno
(If Hawaiian has no business on an Italian masterpiece then neither does Tex-Mex!! And I think the Jalapeno just pierces and overpowers any good tomato sauce base!)

I met another crazy friend at 5:00 am and we ran 5 miles! The temperature was 18F but overall I was dressed warm enough. My legs started getting a little cold towards the last mile so I should have put on an extra layer under my pants. My face also got cold. I have some of the face masks with the eyes and mouth cut out but I have a hard time breathing in them. Just feel suffocated. Plus, i fear looking like a hoodlum at that time of morning!4 -

Your least favorites are probably mine also. My favorite pizza is a non-traditional: pizza with BBQ sauce base, chicken, red onion and cheese.2 -
A chicken supreme is probably mine. We used to get this gorgeous seafood pizza with a really thin base from a place we stayed near a few times in France. It used to be a case of drop the bags and run to the pizza guy. Think he was Italian. I buy the multipack pepperoni or salami pizzas for the freezer and then add topping from whatever's in the the fridge.5
-
@tarun_yadavA I would argue that it’s not the topping that matters but the quality of the dough and all the ingredients that makes a good pizza. I think I might be a bit of a pizza snob . I’ve had some absolutely awesome freshly made pizzas that each tell a kind of story with their own taste. One of the most surprisingly good pizzas I’ve ever had was a vegan one with hummus instead of tomato sauce. I don’t know how, but that really worked!
I got my snow run in today. I coughed through the first half but then felt good-ish. Parts of the run were really icy and I had to watch my footing carefully.
@Teresa502 Wow! That is cold!!! It was just slightly below freezing here.
I ran 10.3km, bringing my total for November to 172.8/200km.4 -
