    Annie, I’m so sorry the pastor changed all your plans. I hope you can get it worked out the way you want. Around here, we couldn’t change the time of a service without the funeral home’s approval.     Because I knew the recycling dumpsters would be overflowing with cardboard, I took our stuff and stopped by after church today. Of course, they were pretty much full. Somebody had left a big wad of bubble wrap between the dumpsters. As I was trying to empty my recycling bag, one item at a time, tossing it over the mountain at the front of the opening into the back of the dumpster, I tripped over the bubble wrap, went down and hit the back of my head on the concrete. My bag with all its plastic went flying all over the parking lot. There were two men there - one emptying his own trunk of recyclables and the other apparently hanging about looking for aluminum or something. Neither of them even asked me if I was ok, much less offer to help me up or gather my plastic. Merry Christmas to me! Luckily, except for a small goose bump on the back of my skull, I seem to be okay. I was able to fit all my plastic and cardboard into the dumpster. Dave checked me out when I came home. The back of my pretty blue wool coat was covered in parking lot crud, which I treated all the folks in Publix to seeing when I stopped on the way home from recycling. Oh, well! I don’t have eyes in the back of my head (only a goosebump). Lol.

    I'm sorry you fell ... and I would recommend getting that goosebump checked at Emergency.

    Friday 12/22: safe, dry drive home from County Commissioners’ meeting last night.
    Thursday 12/21: Working washing machine and clothes dryer in our house ;)
    Love hearing about all your Christmas plans, what a wide range! Freddie’s had rib roasts on sale so that’s what we’ll have tomorrow. Will get up early to season and rest the roast, then pop it in the oven. Hope to have it all cooked and ready by 10:30 am which is when Joe likes to eat his “lunch”. Would really like to eat this meal together.
    Rita the 21st was an interesting collection of “days” indeed. Had to google dongzhi, and smile and “short girl appreciation” ;) Fudge and rum balls, have you been in my kitchen this week?

    3. Offer to help someone who is facing difficulties at the moment. Helped my fellow host in learning what to do in 2 separate incidents with campers.
    4. Support a campaign, cause, or charity you really care about.
    5. Give a gift to someone who is homeless or lonely. Did not do this. No chance to.
    6. Leave a positive message for someone else to find. Did this yesterday.
    7. Give kind comments to as many people as possible today. I will try. A bit down today. Not feeling well.
    8. Do something helpful for a friend or family member. Will do!
    9. Notice when you’re hard on yourself or others and be kind instead. I will try to remember.
    10. Listen wholeheartedly to others without judging them. I need to learn to do this more.
    11. But an extra item and donate to a food bank. Did not have a chance to do this today.

    13. See how many be people you can smile at today. I didn’t count, but smiled at ask the hospital employees I meet yesterday while getting eye surgery.
