Michelle It is called Field Day extra Virgin Olive Oil cooking spray I got it on sale at a local chain here in Minnesota. When I have used it up I hope I can find it again. I cooked some mushrooms for lunch. It uses air pressure to make the spray. Says no propellants, no chorofluorocarbons on the label.2

Good evening ladies
A miracle occured today was the family party
I saw Seth walk by the window,so I knew both came, and they brought Miles a card and a present.. she gave or let us all give her a hug and ,I sat at the dining table and bawled like a baby.. I thank Karen,Seths mom for finally talking some sense into Carmine..it was wonderful seeing her.
After I left went to get kitty stuff at Petsmart and came home, and I looked everywhere for my phone.. nowhere, drove all the way back to Petsmart ,and someone turned it in..praise the lord..
We are supposed to get socked in with snow but I'll believe it when I see it..
Miles had 2 cupcakes and the sugar flipped him out..12 -

01/06- Joe volunteering to start the wood fire without me even asking.
01/05- ginger ale.
01/04- that the tubular incandescent bulbs are still available for my desk lamp.
Up to 132.7 this morning, could be the sugar in the ginger ale, the sodium in the consommé, the peanut brittle and two pieces of See’s chocolates. . .
Lanette Thanks for the links (Dr Hong’s walking and brain size, PT Ed DeBoo’s 5 exercises, and Dr. Matt. Pleased and reassured I’m already doing most of the exercises and meeting that low bar walking goal. Now to squeeze in those scapular retractions and (ugh) bridges . ..
Tina good luck finding a gyn who’s been through menopause. IMHO just finding a female gyn would be better than what you’ve had. As for the foot pain, a good PT might have better ideas than that podiatrist… just sayin’ ((hugs))
Sue great “therapeutic yoga” suggestion to Tina. Worked with a certified yoga therapist years ago and she was very helpful.
Evelyn Raspberries in January in BC? One of my favorite garden books is “Strawberries in Novenber” outlining the various micro climates in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Pip (hugs) I had a heckuva time finding our marriage license, turned out it was filed in the county where Joe worked when he got it, not in the county where we were married.
Ginny good for you for investing the researching time. Your cookware has a big influence on what you eat “Peaceful walk in the snow” best thing about snow
Michele, yes the treats do work to minimize the pulling, but as you learned, the effect fades when the treats are gone… Wish you could find an Aqua Zumba class, I loved it. Alas there are none here.
Pip ((hugs)) “Pulled muscle”? Yow! Hope he continues to rest and not make it worse.
Machka the NY resolutions meme especially the whole second row.
Welcome @mysoulisskinny and bravissima for 18 minutes!
Beth like you I’m going to eat from the pantry (and the freezer) for the next few weeks, at least. Hoping to only buy fresh veggies and dairy at least through January, maybe longer. Might have to get creative figuring out how to use some of the bits and bobs in the freezer. . . Thanks for the bladder info.
Rita rejoicing at the good news from your renal MD, and brava to you for the record keeping AND taking the initiative on the kidney diet.
Vicki really hope your heart doctor has some good suggestions, that’s a crazy high heart rate.
Debbie “tactical wee” Love this.
Barbie great news about Jake. ((hugs)) “pee-caution” a real water snorter.
Simone that is quite a fireplace. Hope you weren’t badly hurt, falls are such shocks.

Allie seeing that pic of Carmine hugging sMiles made me tear up Happy birthday indeed. ((hugs))
Reading I love to read, alas to the exclusion of everything else, attending to Joe and the dogs, housework, exercise, etc etc etc. So have to limit reading to just before sleep. Can’t listen to audible books while driving, my concentration shifts to the story and away from the road. Same thing happens if I’m trying to practice a new line dance in my head while driving. Bad idea. Will have to try audibles while doing exercise snacks…

Kylia: I hope you enjoyed dessert night with your friends.
Grandmallie: Happy Birthday to Miles! The children are so cute!
Annie: Thinking of you!
Mysoulskinny: Welcome! I am sorry for your diagnosis. I hope you meet your goal to lose weight and eat healthy!
Great group of ladies here. I hope you continue to post!
Tracey: I am slowly re-doing my living room. Right now I think I want a yellow couch and a picture of a Golden
Retriever. My old living room had a Victorian theme and now i want something lighter and cheerful!
Machka: Thinking of you as you deal with the Covid.
Terri: Great you have habits! I can't keep a habit! I don't stick with them!
I think I have found a new car and will test drive it tomorrow and make a decision! I spent hours looking at cars on line and am happy/hopeful that this is over. I have gone back to de-cluttering! I put looking for a couch on hold while I looked for a car. I am introducing yellow into the house. My husband loved yellow. I wish we had decorated more with yellow!
Presently watching the Weather channel while posting. Sounds like it is going to be quite a storm!

Allie-I am so glad that Carmine showed up. It is too bad she and Seth didn't come at Christmas-but this is a start.
Barbie-totally agree with your advice to Tina about a good PT over the podiatrist. They really serve different functions. My podiatrist is very interested in what PT does and has shared some of the successes she has seen, especially with the one I am using.
Annie-I think our posts crossed this am-good to hear you are feeling better. Restaurant sounds like good idea. Hopefully you can find something to occupy your dad each day. I was thinking in terms of him going out in underpants-if he wears boxers they really are just thin shorts, and most briefs don't show as much as some swim trunks. Let him give the neighborhood ladies a thrill.
Lanette-sorry you re having computer issues. Windows can be temperamental sometimes. I had trouble with my old surface tablet at work from the start (they could never get it worked out). New one is much better. My IT director got her new one and is having tons of problems and had none with her old one! I use a Mac at home
Had productive day. Got exercises and walk in. Fixed a pan dinner. Got a bunch of work papers sorted. Put together information for a performance eval which won't be good, outlined a couple of other projects. Got laundry and ironing done. Going to head in and watch part of Indy-Texans game in bed.
Oh-and new cookware came. Need to clean it tomorrow before using. Going to use dutch oven tomorrow to cook soup. Company I purchased from said when I registered that they will donate 10 meals through their food program. Have no clue if they will work well.
Take care all,

I hope this is going on the correct thread. I have been off and on MFP for awhile. I'm 51yo and 280.
I feel I am finally able to take control of my life. New place, new start. Do I want to lose weight? Yes. But I want to be healthier and live longer. Looking to make life long friends to help stay on track.

Loved the many good things happening to people here. I found an old friend this evening. "A Home Prairie Companion" is still available to listen to on YouTube. I loved listening to this program on NPR from my late teens until my 40's. I moved to Utah and lost it. But, finding it today made my day.
Today was day 6 of working my way toward a 30 pound loss by mid June for my daughter's wedding. But also for my health.
I hope you all find happy places.

Annie: That story of the strangers coming to your door is a short story waiting to be written. Hilarious! I think of you daily as you move through the rigors of your mom's memorial and caregiving for your dad. He may not express appreciation, so on his behalf I will. Bless you, dear heart.
The discussion on pelvic floor exercises is timely. A lovely 65+ woman at work recently underwent a full pelvic reconstruction. She has returned after a couple months rehabbing, and shared with me her lessons learned and tips she has gotten from docs and therapists. To hold off having to pee so often at night, she was advised to take a few deep breaths. This adds air to the abdominal cavity and takes a bit of pressure off the bladder. It works for me, and so have been making that a new habit.
In connection with my stepped level of stretching, I've been focusing more on fascia. That's the connective tissue that is like clear cling wrap around our muscles and organs. The tightness that gets relieved after a few minutes of using a foam roller is the fascia releasing, relaxing and allowing more blood flow. My online fascia guru is Lo Rox. She recently send a link to a 17 min video with simple exercises for improving pelvic floor health. Her approach balances kegel squeezes with visualizing the pelvic floor as a flower opening, all integrated with deep breath work and a mental imprinting of the open feeling triggered by the stretch you get sitting on a small ball or rolled up blanket. I have done her set on the chair 1x and have incorporated the breath work into an exercise I do during hours of standing at work. You can see her video:
Stay well friends. We can do this.

Well, now the comment window came up! Before, I could only "ask a question." Anywho, my name is Luanne, and I am hopeful in joining your community. I have recently (18 months) moved to a small mountain community (altitude 5700, pop 3700) from the beach (pop 125,000) quite a change. Still getting used to it. I am an early retired teacher due to my DHs Cancer diagnosis.

Simone my reading goal for last year was 12 books. I read 52!😳 This year my goal is 20 but have already finished 2 that I had started last year (lol!). I read just about anything. I belong to Prime First Reads and get 1 book a month free (sometimes more like this month) and pick books by their name and cover, so I’ve gotten mystery, romance (I don’t particularly like these- all the same really) Sci-Fi, horror (Think Stephen King), thrillers (think Koontz) biographies, almost anything! Do you belong to the Goodread app? They have book giveaways that authors do, both Kindle and Hardcover. Last year I won 3 Kindle and 1 hardcover from them. I believe it is good to read all sorts of stuff to widen my horizons! LOL Friend me on here (kevrit) with and I will tell you how to friend me and we can compete reading!
Anyone else interested in free books and a book challenge? Just PM me and we can all connect!
RVRita in Roswell, NM
I was on Goodreads all of last year and made my goal of 24 books in their challenge, but saw nothing of free giveaways or anything like that.
Machka in Oz
Goodreads sends emails with the link to the giveaways. They always have choices of books to choose in many different catagories. If you don’t like the book they offer, just don’t register. You need to follow the link they send you in the email then “read” their terms and choose an address to send the book too (unless of course it is a digital book). I will look see where they have me email to send these offers and post here.
RVRitaIt seems I used my email as my user name and have it linked to my Amazon account. This must be why they send me the giveaways.
RVRita
I just get ... "You've finished "this book", what's next?" emails with suggestions.
But I don't have it linked to my Amazon account. Amazon Australia can be rather limited and if I want more variety, I can get stuff from North America or wherever, but then I pay a lot in shipping.

BBCodes are entirely optional. "You can use BBCode in your post." if you want ... but you don't have to.
BBCodes provide bold, italics, colour, etc.
[ b ] bold [ / b ] without the spaces is bold
[ i ] italics [ / i ] without the spaces is italics
[ color = red ] red [ / color ] without the spaces is red colour
[ color = #67BD4A ] a colour identified with a hex number[ / color ] without the spaces is another colour
You can find the hex numbers for colours here: https://www.color-hex.com/

The plan for tomorrow is to do a Denise Austin Power Zone DVD. Then I’ll probably go for a walk and then to Aldi
Allie – I’m so so happy that Carmine came to sMiles party. I especially loved that pic of Carmine hugging sMiles. Can you thank Karen by calling her or something? So nice that there are honest people in this world
Just came back from my walk. Got dinner ready and will go out to help Vince put things away in a few.
Rita – most of my Corelleware looks like new, too. But there are a few pieces that I picked up at a thrift store since my pattern has been discontinued for years. I guess I just need to make a paste of baking soda and leave it on the outside of the dish. Baking soda is what I used inside the dish.
Barbie – thanks, I’ll have to check that out. Maybe I do and I never knew it! (Hope so)
Put away most of the blowmolds from Christmas. Gawd, I do like blowmolds.
Rosemarie – good luck with the car. I know you’ll make the right choice
Gagirl – WB
Rori – great to see you. That video looks very interesting. Need to bookmark it
luann – welcome. I’m so sorry about your husband.

Lisa - I had to laugh at your bathroom situation. That would scare me too.
Kylia - I did that FB think too. Now I can’t remember what the words were. I should have written them down.
Sorry your coffee date got postponed.
Lanette - I just bought a HP I hope it lasts longer than 3 years. I bought it at the Source. The store manager and I had a long talk and he told me not to buy the cheapest or the most expensive. He said none of them are made to last anymore and 4 years is about it. Frustrating.
Ginny - I had to laugh at your advice to Heather about the cupboard door and Johnny not fixing it. When I told Rodger last night I have a guy coming to give a quote on mudding and taping my wall, he said good. I said well I don’t want to keep pressuring you to do it so we’ll see what it costs. He said, I can do it, I don’t do it well and it will be noticeable on a big wall. He could have admitted this a few months ago.
Joy - those temperatures are going to be awful to deal with aren’t they? I just hope they don’t last for weeks like last year. We had pipes freeze.
Debbie - what show is that? It sounds like one my Granddaughter might like.
Allie - I’m so happy for all of you that Carmine showed up to the party. Baby steps are still steps.
Why does Tracy care if you get a cat? You never mention her visiting you, just the other way around.
Barbara - I love the exercise snacks. That’s sort of what I’ve been doing lately. Not actual exercise just up and moving.
I said to Rodger tonight that my foot feels better when I’m resting and not walking, but the rest of me, especially my hips and back, feel better when I’m moving. I think I need to do some swimming again. I haven’t been since my last lesson in 2019.
Rosemarie - I can’t wait to see your living room. I bet it will be beautiful.
Went with my friend to look at the camper. I understand why she was concerned going alone, but it was a very safe viewing.
The guy came to give a quote today for our drywall mudding. I found him as recommended on our local Rant & Rave group on FB. He is able and reasonable so I’ll be booking him soon.
As we were chatting just before he left, he said something about when he moved here. We asked where he is from and turns out it’s the town we came from in NB. He knew Rodger’s uncles, I look later and we have 4 mutual friends. I contacted Rodger’s Aunt, she said he’s done work for them and he did a good job and he’s a good guy. That’s good enough for me.
It’s a small world after all!
My daughter that has been trying so hard to have a baby told me tonight that one of their friends is starting a go fund me to help for their next IVF round. I’m so glad they are allowing this, it will help them to try again sooner. It takes a long time to save the amount of money they need for this. She estimates that they have already spent 30K over the last two years. They have done that, finished school that they didn’t take loans for and bought a house in the last 5 years and they have not asked for help from anyone as a matter of fact they helped others as well. They make me so proud.

Welcome @nitaoriol Ga girl, @hmjack1561 Hope and @luannegalizio Luanne! This is the right thread for motivation, support, friendship, compassion and wisdom.
Annie that story of the strangers coming to your family’s Thanksgiving dinner by mistake is a testament to your family’s warmth and love.
Tracey was it you who recommended “Only Murder in the Building”? Thanks! I’m really enjoying it. “… just up and moving” for me is the key to feeling (mostly) better ;}1/6: Move: Move: ZERO sets PT, brief dog group rained out, dogs to powerline, Jeopardy walking. Steps:5400

Machka - so sorry the crud is still hanging on. How's your husband doing?
Rosemarie - what car did you decide on? Have fun test driving. I think we all need some yellow in our lives - adding a yellow sofa when you are ready is a good place to start.
Rori - what an awesome post and so timely. Always love to see you pop in, your positive energy jumps out at us.
Allie - has Alfie actually met and spent time with Siri? Nice that Carmine and Seth showed up at sMiles party. It's a start.
Tracey - this HP should last for many years unless I spill coffee on it. I had 2 Dell laptops throughout the years that quit working - as I recall, they starting "eating" batteries which were expensive, plus they just slowed down - not enough memory and other issues. I have never used this laptop on my lap, and only use the battery once every 2 weeks when Collette comes and I move it off the dining room table into the office.
So yesterday after I reloaded Chrome and got things set up again, I decided to get off Windows 10 and installed Windows 11. Took 3 hours. Still getting used to it but it's fairly easy to navigate around. Maybe that will help stabilize this thing, crossing fingers. I think losing my profile info could have been a Windows issue, we'll see.

Good morning ladies!
Ginny and others, thanks for your good wishes! The doctor said I don't have Covid, although with all the variants who can say. And I just got an RSV vaccine a month ago. So I think it's just a respiratory virus with a bad cough. Whatever it is, it's getting a little better, Yay! Machka hope you feel better!
The minister is supposed to come by one of these days to plan the service. And I still need to dye my hair. I just need to stop procrastinating and get it done. It's not that hard, just messy. I don't know why I make such a big deal out of it.
It rained yesterday and looks like more rain today.
Dreary.
Well have a great day ladies!
