I ran 4 miles this morning. It was 72°F and very humid, but it was a pretty decent run. I ran at a speedier pace than I usually do and had negative splits. My overall pace was 10:34 and my splits were: 10:56, 10:40, 10:34 and 10:09. Most of my runs lately have been at a pretty easy pace but it was kind of fun to run faster for a change.

Hi everyone and greetings from Hyéres in the south of France. After a torturous 21 hours of driving (!), I needed to recover before setting out on a run here.
This morning I went on an 8.1 km run up into the hills behind our rental. It was a real climb for me. I felt like a mountain runner compared to the flat stuff I normally do. From up on top of the hill I could see to the Mediterranean and the run took me past some ruins of an old chateau. I was too tired and it was too late in the morning to run all the way to the top of the chateau lookout, but maybe tomorrow.

Another fast walk with Tippy this morning before setting out for the day. Today, I met some of the family at Sebastian Inlet. We played in the water some and saw a manatee. I didn't get a good picture - just it's nose coming up for a breath.
The shadow is the manatee's tail under the water.
Came up for a breath.
Tippy and I took a walk later and we saw a couple of rabbits. Later, I made a mistake and left the door open a little and she ran out, across the road, and onto the dune to try to get to them. Fortunately, I was able to get her before she found them. Now she is whining to go out and pacing from me to the door. She's gonna have to stop that soon.

Good Evening Everyone. Well, I started a new Half Marathon training plan. I will be run/walking the Monumental in Indianapolis in November. I have coworkers who are doing this with me as well. We are now following one another on Strava to hold each other accountable. Completed 2.65 miles this evening on the treadmill. With this, I am currently at 28.7 miles out of 50. I am determined to reach this month's goal.

School's back (hooray!) so I'm back to running my usual hilly loop. Actually, I wasn't going to run the loop today - just to the top of the hill and back for 5k but there were arborists felling trees and they had half the road shut for the entire climb and I didn't want to have to go through that twice, so when I got to the top I carried on. It was fine though because by then I was feeling great. Finished comfortably under my arbitrary goal of 50 minutes and managed to run the hilliest kilometre in under 7 minutes, another arbitrary goal.5

This morning I did a full body dumbbell cardio workout and then ran 3 miles. Working remotely today since I have to take my mom to a medical appointment later this morning.

It was cooler this morning at 68°F but the 100% humidity still made for a sweaty run. It was foggy too so it was kind of creepy starting out in the dark. But I did enjoy it being a little cooler and I ran 6.25 miles.

Tried a few things, and today's run was just fab! I tried running yesterday but my muscles were so tight I could not even walk properly. So happy. I think this was the first 3km run in quite a while that I managed to run without walking.6 -

Nice workout @Teresa502 . I hope your mom's appointment went well. Tippy didn't completely give up until I turned the light off and went to bed. We saw the mom this morning and she basically ignored it. Silly girl.

I'll properly post tomorrow, but I did take a fast walk with Tippy this morning before breakfast and then strolled on the beach before packing the car. I made it to my stopping point around 5 and did a treadmill walking mile before dinner.5

My sister is getting married at the end of September. We had her hen party/bachelorette party at the weekend in Dublin and went with a 1920 flapper girl theme. It went great and was a lot of fun. I'm to the left of the bride and my daughter is to the right.6 -
Japan update! We have been in Tokyo for 2 days. The first day we went to Tokyo Sky tree, which is the tallest tv transmission tower in the world. There are some observation decks up at the top. You really get an appreciation for how massive the city is. Even from that height, it was dense city as far as the eye could see. The icon for the glass floor observation area made me laugh.
We also participated in a tea ceremony, where we learned about the process of performing the tea ceremony. The grounds had a lovely garden with a collection of bonsai trees. The oldest one was 530 years old!
We also went to Team lab borderless which is this amazing immersive art experience. It is the original and truly awesome. If you have seen the touring van Gogh immersive experiences, those are based on the team lab projects.

It wasn't as cool this morning as it was yesterday. It was 72°F with 100% humidity. But it wasn't foggy and it was actually a pretty nice run. I started out kind of slow, but managed to pick up some speed as I went and finished my 6.25 mile run with the last half faster than the first half.

6.6 miles this morning. Took it super slow for the 1st half, then sped up at the turn-around, but it felt like I was doing even pacing. Pain level in left shin was 0, then about 1-2 after 3 miles, then 0 after 4 miles. I'll compromise speed over pain any day.
Heading to Austin tomorrow morning, and no time for running this weekend, which is probably for the best.
