Debbie ~ Sorry the lady didn't met your MnL's expectations but will continue to hope for you and your DH.
Lisa ~ Thanks for the info on TEMU. So I looked and see some tops I would like but when I went to check out, it not only asked for my email address but what I assume is my email password. Does that sound right to you?
What has happened to Rosemarie? I know she had a trip planned to go up North but miss her posts.

Well days are long, and I'm getting in as much conversation, and hugs as I possibly can. How I love this kid of mine. His squadron is here a couple weeks, though he works nights, we will have early afternoons together, plus he has a 4 day mini recharge in there somewhere! We're planning our ramen pilgrimage then. We have been watching lots of anime, listening to weird music, and just hanging out. I should get back into more of an eating routine when we head to the gym tomorrow. Son goes to work at 8 pm and most likely doesn't get home until 4 am or so. Then he's up an hour to get some food in him. I might make him a breakfast burrito at 4 am and just wrap it in aluminum foil so it will be warm still and put on really low in the oven.
hugs ladies!

Just a lurker answering Carol. I use Temu and have been happy...the password is one you make up just for TEMU, just like the password you have for MFP.3

When I had spine surgery in 2016, Jake had to do the laundry for awhile until I could get up and about more easily. Our clothing is pretty ordinary and we wash in cold water so sorting wasn't an issue. He found out that he loved doing the laundry but didn't like folding and didn't fold well so he turned that back to me since I could fold sitting at the table. Since then he has done all the laundry and I do the folding. It works for us.
I don't know if any of the organizing websites and teachers say this, so I'm going to share something that works for me. The less you have, the easier it is to organize it in the space you have for storage. Also, the less you buy, the less you have to get rid of.
Carol, I don't know about TEMU. but many shopping sites want a log in from you, usually your email and a password but the password is one for the site, not the password to your email. My email and a special password is what I have for a clothing website and one for yarn and knitting supplies.
The picture of Shilo and Brandy is from 2005. By the time I found MFP, we had poodles, Brandy and Sasha.

Barbie - Many of the content creators recommend less 'inventory'. Minimal Mum, Dawn, is one of them. I am very much in favour.
Annie - I suspect you are a 'perfectionist'. I used to be too. If I couldn't do a perfect job, I wouldn't even start. Thankfully, I have left that mindset behind me, with the help of people on YouTube like Cas (Clutterbug) and Dana (A slob comes clean). Progress not Perfection. DON'T LET THE PERFECT BE THE ENEMY OF THE GOOD.
Basically, every single thing that leaves your house is a win. Just one thing. Cas's challenge is 5 things in 5 minutes. Just 5 minutes. It can be trash, like sweet wrappers. The idea is to retrain your brain, not to attain perfection. I am so grateful for her. Now, I can throw out anything that isn't serving me to its optimum, and really enjoy it. Just one thing is a win.
Don't let that perfectionism mindset grind you down. Don't let that 'stuff' boss you around.
JUST ONE THING.

Did the Melt It Off DVD then went for a walk around the neighborhood, then to Aldi, then washed and waxed my car (we need the rain), went to Lowe’s with Vince. I don’t know why but almost none of the plants the guy gave me are blooming. Got these Miracle Grow sticks and if they don’t help the plants bloom, maybe I’ll have to replace them all (boo)
Threw away those smores bars then made more the way I thought they should be made. Taste pretty good
Vince declared the frosted covering on the one window in the garage OK, so maybe tomorrow we’ll do another one. Then ceramics at night. No bowling tomorrow. The winter season starts next Monday
Lectored at the church yesterday.
As I was getting ready to wash my car, I found a bottle of charcoal lighter fuel. We don’t even have any charcoal. I got Vince to throw it out last year (or was it the year before) because we hadn’t used it in 15 years. So I just threw out the lighter fluid and didn’t even bother to tell him.
Mo – whoopie pies would be fantastic! Please share the recipe. Haven’t made them in a long time. Are they a lot of work?
For a few days my forearm was hurting and I couldn’t figure out what I did. Then last night I was playing mahjongg (on the tablet) and afterwards my forearm really hurt. I figured out that it’s the constant tapping of the tiles that’s doing it. Guess I have to give up my mahjongg for a while.
When we take the TV to the landfill, I have to remember to take all our old batteries, too
Mo – I started here in 2009.
Heather – my father, Mr. super-religious, wouldn’t divorce his second wife for religious reasons, too. I never did like her much. Then to find out that my father wanted to divorce her! That said an awful lot. Anyway, I think she thought that when he died (women outlive men) she’d get everything. Only my father outlived two wives!!!!
Carol – so so glad to hear that the new hearing aids are working out for you
Oh, speaking of convenience foods, I found out that if you go to the Burger King app, on Wednesday if you order at least $1 you can get a free cheeseburger. I’m supposed to work Wed (the store mgr is going to be at a meeting) so I’ll give them extra cheese.
Rita – Denise laughs at me because by the time I get finished with all the substitutions, etc. when I go out to eat, the meal looks nothing at all like what’s on the menu! Too bad, huh? One of the things (about the only thing) that I like about BK is that the hamburgers are grilled so more of the fat supposedly broils out. But I honestly still don’t eat there.
Lisa – I went food shopping today and I turned around to get more food to put away in the refrigerator. When I turned around Chewy was IN the refrig. Later as I was standing in front of the refrig, Chewy jumps into the refrig. Cats have a mind of their own, huh?
Debbie – thanks for the recipe. I printed it out and will have to give it a try. When you made them, were you able to stack them or were they too sticky to be able to?
Boy, you ladies have dividers for your socks. I just throw mine in my drawer (after balling them up)
Annie – what I’ve started doing is I order clothes in two or three different sizes, try them on when I get them, then just return the ones that don’t fit
Fri they had BLT at the soup kitchen and we had some bacon left over. Vince was so ecstatic when I brought some home for him!
Pony4us – thanks. I’m going to have to check Temu out

outdoor cats..mom had a cockatiel she used to let fly around the house and she never got its wings clipped, left the door open and out it went.
I had a shepard husky mix puppy that I got when I was 18 or so I told my mom please don't let him out until I get up.. so whats she do let him out and he gets hit by a car..
We had all kinds of animals(lived on a farm)- we had a cockatiel- my younger sister kept trying to get it to say "Shut up Myrna"- Myrna is my mom's name. He did talk some but never did tell my mom to shut up.

Allie - Thinking about all of you, hoping for the best.
Easy, relaxed day. Corey's brother showed up shortly after noon, and they wandered around and just nattered all afternoon, looking at all kinds of man things, like truck motors and lawn mowers on TV, and so on... and I was able to be part of it only when I chose. Pat is a much more relaxed dude than he was when he was married, and happier, and more in control of himself than he ever was before. Then a truly yummy dinner of grilled chicken and shrimp fajitas. With Pat here, Corey could indulge his love of guacamole, grilled jalapeños, etd. Plus someone who appreciates his hot salsa! Sort of the opposite of you and Johnny, Heather, Cor's the spice lover in our family.
So, I played with my current design project, which is slowly coming along, and beaded bracelets, which was kinda fun. Hope to get closer to finished on the design piece, as it's probably going to be the template for a number of others. Such fun to stretch mentally and artistically again.
Corey's in the tub, and I'm doing the last bits of Sunday night routine - Egg's in, her kitty door's locked, the coffee maker's ready, and I'll be in bed shortly. Hope it's been a lovely weekend, y'all, and that the week brings joy and peace here and everywhere.
Love y'all,

Heather - I hope soon you don’t have to wake up in pain at all.
I need to clean my oven, burners and barbecue. Tasks I don’t enjoy at all. Sorry John’s back is hurting.
Barbara - I need Rodger to take a look around our place too for gaps. I may end up doing it myself. Was the bear poop close? That’s worrisome.
You’re really moving along with the decluttering.
Can you buy the knob on Amazon?
Carol - I have friends here that have had great purchases from Temu.
Make sure you look at the measurements for their sizes. According to them I take a 3XL and I wear and XL.
I personally haven’t tried it because I’ve also heard bad reviews.
Lanette - I try to do off the registry for a little something but I have been giving ceramics at baby showers for the last three years. The Mom’s tell me their theme and colour palette.
I have to make two this Fall.
Debbie - Maybe your DH needs to stay away for a bit to how his mother treats the caregiver.
I would not live in a house without a tub. I will suffer through a shower if I have to, but I have a bath almost every evening. It’s rare that I don’t have 6 a week.
Rebecca - I bet your son would love a warm burrito to come home to. How thoughtful of you. Have so much fun!
Barbie - after cleaning my Mom’s house in 2015 and then losing almost 1000 sq ft when we moved here, I find it easiest to declutter continuously. Even being intentional with what comes into the house can be overwhelming at times. Currently my craft room needs another floor overhaul. I’m waiting though as a lady from ceramics is giving me her scrapbooking supplies and I want to see what I may need to organize when that arrives.
Speaking of my craft room. I saw a post or something this week where someone took the sewing machine out of a trundle sewing machine table to use that as a desk for crafting. I have one that my friend gave me because she knew I would appreciate it. I really don’t. It’s one extra piece of furniture I really don’t need in my house, but I could use extra table space in my craft room that could be made smaller if needed. I’m giving it a lot of thought, I think I need to open it up and see the size and what I would need to do to leave the sewing machine in there but folded down.
I think if I don’t come up with a use for it soon I may have to get rid of it.
Allie - prayers for Tracy and all of you tomorrow.
Lisa - I think it’s wonderful that Pat and Corey get together fairly often. It’s nice to see brothers do that. I think my Dad always wanted that with his brothers but never got it. He got it with his nephews though.
I did some scraping booking today, and watched the Frazier reboot. This evening I had my bath and was lazy and watched tv. The sky was stunning for about 5 minutes this evening and then turned menacing. Nothing happened though.
I heard from my BFF just now, 820pm which is 1130pm her time. My hearth always goes to my throat when she calls me late. She is on vacation this week and next and her son is home visiting. She was up waiting for him to get in from his evening out with friends.
She did say her mother’s other half is at the hospital they think he may have pneumonia.
I’m watching my guilty pleasure, Sister Wives. I love that these women all left him. I know I probably shouldn’t feel that way, but he gave up on them years ago in my opinion.
Have a great Monday everyone.

I think all the organising websites say that ... the great minimalism trend.
I follow these and a few others, and articles about minimalism keep cropping up.

I've noticed that more places in Australia are not allowing substitutions, or charging more for substitutions. It makes sense ... if you one meal doesn't suit, order something different. I'm a picky eater and it's rare that there isn't something on the menu that will work for me.SweetPeasMom55 wrote: »I work where my boss and co-workers are all my daughters age. I loved the style back in 2016 this new version not so much. Just curious if the premium version gives you everything the way it use to be.
No. The way it used to be was with what is now old outdated software. MFP has moved on.

Carol in GA
As you probably know by now, that's not what it is asking for. Never ever use your email password to log into other sites. Your email password is only your email password.
Each thing you log into should have a different password or pass phrase.
On that, cybersecurity sites are recommending pass phrases now. A passphrase is a memorized phrase consisting of a sequence of mixed words with or without spaces. Your passphrase should be at least 4 words and 15 characters in length. I feel like I'm writing a short story with some of mine!!
But for passwords, it is recommended that you use a minimum of 12 characters. And of course it may depend what the site requires in terms of numbers and special characters.

On laundry ...
My husband and I each do our own laundry entirely: washing, hanging to dry, folding, putting away.
He folds and stores his clothes differently than I do, and that's OK. We have separate closets and dressers so whatever he does is his business and what I do is my business.
I use the Marie Kondo fold technique for most of my clothes and divide them where necessary with metal bookends.

Good morning, my chicks... I've been up since just a half hour past midnight, but it was because of a dream that I didn't want to go back to. I knew it was a dream while I was dreaming, and kept waking myself up, trying to think about weird, oddball things, like king crabs, volcanos, Mayan civilizations. Didn't help, right back into the same story. Gave up and got up. Sometimes it's best. Otherwise, I would have woken up from a headache because I was grinding my teeth and jaw-clenching all night.
Tracey - I think Corey needs it, too. The company of other men has to be a welcome change after listening to me design handbags, make beaded tschotchkes, stuffed pumpkins, and in general do things which do not interest him in the least. Folding underwear does not reach the top of his conversation lists... I have my friends on the phone, my daughter, my sister, and all of you. I'm in the company of other women at almost any waking moment. Glad to have that for him outside of work.
So enjoying two more weeks left of "no-doctor-September." It's been such a lovely thing. I think I will go into town tomorrow, get the back of my neck cleaned up at the hair salon, and drop in at the thrift store. Tuesday, 55+ get 30% off of everything, and there's an occasional very good buy.
Allie - Let us know how things go with your Tracy's C-section. Thinking about y'all.

Today’s gratitude: sunlight on the ocean, what colors!
Thanks Lisa! Not sure “Compatible with” is the same as “Genuine Samsung” :P looks like both are of poor quality. Really wish Joe was more comfortable with the super glue/zip tie or hose clamp fixes but if not, Amazon is worth a shot. Carol well done on not eating snacks after dinner! Hardest thing for me ;{ Thanks afor asking about Temu, I was wondering the same. Thanks to Lisa for her experience.
Annie your bedroom sounds overwhelming, like my bookshelves, office, crafts closet and garage. ;{ Congrats on the haiku!
SweetPeasMom55 Sue in Buffalo, hope you get the position in the department with people your age and sharing your care-giving experiences. The only change to mfp I really dislike is losing the newsfeed from friends, that’s how I kept up with gals who no longer post to this thread. Doubt, but don’t know if, it’s in the premium mfp.
Margaret now that is some positive reinforcement! Well done!
Allie prayers for Tracy, you and all the family. ((hugs)) How could you not worry? ((hugs held extra long))
Rita now I want sauerkraut and sausages
Heather which oven rack cleaning bags and cleaner do you use?
Lanette, the great aunt’s comment You are so right about the good feeling to pull open a drawer and be able to see (and grab) exactly what you're looking for. Same for me for cabinets, file folders etc. That’s why I struggle sometimes to be grateful for Joe putting dishes away. He puts things where they make sense to him, like with like. I put things I use often on the lower shelves so I can reach them, and leave the things I don’t use so much on the upper shelves. If something isn’t where I think it “should” be, I have a hard time seeing it wherever it is… ;{
Debbie wow what a de-cluttering/organizing marathon! I’m exhausted just reading about it. Bravissima!
@pony4us, Barbie, Margaret, Lisa and Machka, thanks for your insight to Carol about the Temu password, I was confused and suspicious, but now I understand.
Barbie your insights about the less you have and the less you buy are the pillars of Cas the Clutterbug’s system. the pic of Brandy and Sasha, do you have any pics of Haifa the cat?
Michele, is there no electronics waste recycling near you? Or Hazardous waste for the batteries? Sorry your favorite game makes your forearm hurt ;’{ BK is lucky you’re such a good planner.
Tracey not sure where the bear poop was, probably on the path down to the cistern. One of these days I’ll set the trail cam up again… ;} Stunning sky pics!
Machka I am so weary of passwords, password requirements and now pass phrases. I understand the need and risk and am reluctant to use any “password keeper” system so I just note changes in the little address book kept in the desk drawer. If anyone breaks in and steals it, so be it. Who steals my purse steals trash.
Day 12/30 Makeup shoulda put ‘em all in the trash, haven’t worn makeup since retiring. For fun put some on this morning for church.Couldn’t part with stuff in the green circle, donated the blue circle, trashed the red.Bonus to the Day 6 de-cluttering, tried on a blouse I though was “sausage casing” and woo hoo, not so!Not sausage casingMooch’s first well pet appointment with our vet early tomorrow morning, time to snooze.

Barbara - I used Oven Pride, which has been going around for years. It did a great job on the racks, which I left outside for 24 hours. Inside side walls, not so great, but I didn't leave it on so long. The tray at the bottom, very good. Pretty good on the door, and I gave it a final scrub up this morning with Barkeepers Friend powder. It Is now PERFECT. Remember always to give products a few minutes to do their job. I used to be too hasty in putting it on and washing it off. And then wondering why it didn't work. The Oven Pride was better with 24 hrs.
Today John and I are going to have lunch at Fatto a Mano, under the awning. It might be our last chance to catch the outside eating weather. There are only a few tables in the shade, so we have to get there as it opens. Then we are going on to Homesense for some window shopping. I thought yesterday that I could take in an afternoon trad jazz session at the Paris House, but I lost 4 hours+ sleep last night, so I'm not going to be too ambitious. Pacing myself is key.
For an easy dinner I bought a pouch of Keralan Coconut Curry Sauce. I never buy these things, but it had no artificial ingredients, colouring, or preservatives in it, only normal ingredients. It's by a cookery writer that I follow, Anjan Anand. So, I am thawing some King Prawns, and will add frozen peas and blanched asparagus. An experiment.
Love to all, Heather UK xxxxxxxx4 -
Allie what an exciting day ahead! Gentle hugs for Tracy! I remember after my c section I couldn't sit up to pick up my baby. The rest is a blur.
Michele sorry your arm hurts. Hope you can find another way to play Mahjongg. For me, caffeine can be part of a problem like that.
Lisa, always good to have a visit from Pat! Living proof that there are still good single men out there!
Tracey what a beautiful sky! And yes those old sewing machines are attractive, but clunky. We have taken the approach of burying the machine in a pile of mending. Lol!
Barbara Yay for your blouse that fits!
I'm having the opposite. I pulled out my bathing suit and ordered a larger size.
I'm getting excited for my trip to Las Vegas! Yay!
I need to get rid of expired food in my pantry. I would hate for my cousin to pull something out and get sick, or find bugs or something. Glad I started prepping weeks early!
Have a fantastic day! May you all be happy, healthy, safe and free!

Three reasons to give up diet soda or any foods with artificial sweeteners...
It does not help you lose weight...
It does not contribute to a healthy gut...the artificial sweetners conrtributes to an unbalanced gut bacteria. Not sure how it affects the liver?
The caffeine in it if it has caffeine disturbs your sleep.
There is stevia but I cannot stand the after taste plus it still activates my sweet tooth. I am trying to train my palate to like more bitter and less salty foods because I know they are often better for my overall health.
I could never have aspartame because of my mood disorder. I was told it could make it worse. So I just never had any diet soda, but then I don't drink any soda .
I have water with some lime/lemon in it, my one cup of coffee (no sugar no cream) in the morning, or tea (no sugar, no milk), Kombucha a fermented food.(it is on the bitter side). I also don't drink because of my family history with alcohol which is not good. I probably would have joined the temperance movement in another life because of the heartbreaking effect alcohol has had on my family.
Annie Years ago I remember pulling out some crackers at my mom's and finding bugs. Her comment extra protein. My response was to throw them out. So a good move to go through your pantry.5 -
DH and his pasta! Lol
I measure 1/2 to 1 cup of pasta and limit myself to that. I fill up on the salad and meat sauce. Orange for desert. Also had banana’s and blueberries in my morning oatmeal, and 1/2 apple in a tortilla with cream cheese and almond butter in it. Makes a great sandwich! handful of nuts for a snack when I got bored and just wanted a snack. I just remembered, I had a handful of wheat things too. Still under calories with all that!

Bloodwork for my kidney doctor today. DH is getting bloodwork too for anemia and liver problems. He won’t listen about the drinking so now it is affecting his health. Maybe the liver scare will make him stop. It can heal if he follows the doctor’s orders. Not much else planned for today. I will pick up some milk thistle (thanks for the reminder) for DH today!
